What about "you've lost that loving Phelan"

Or they could do a buffy style musical episode titled "once more with Phelan". It couldn't be any cheesier than regular corrie currently is!

I dont know what was more embarrasing, the scene in the cafe with the only 2 candidates in the election, what no labour, tory or lib dem, or Sallys speech in the Rovers.

The speech in the Rovers was probably one of the most cringeworthy scenes ever broadcast on Corrie, and there have been some dreadful ones

Are the actors on Corrie that desparate for their jobs. Surely they must see the scrips and think to themselves, "you seriously want me to act this scene with this script"

Corrie has been on a downward spiral for a while now but tonight was a new low. On the plus side, when the new producer takes over there is only 1 way the show can go!!!!!!!!!!

I do member that scene but I don't recall seeing Jenny in it at all, but guess she must have been

Maybe that Cropper man's cafe was cheaper, or even free.

I don't really pay full attention to Corrie these days. I find myself zoning out.........

Then when they have a perfectly good use for the community centre they don't bother to use it! Why on earth use the cafe?

It would certainly be an improvement on the current rubbish!

I always think it couldn't get any worse but it always manages it. There should be awards for the worst Corrie scene/SL/character....

How many jobs will the new supermarket create? It seemed an awful lot.

And I Get The Sweetest Feeling (the closer you get the better you look baby) – 1968/1972 – Jackie Wilson

What next Phelan - The Musical? Songs could just have feeling in the lyrics....

It's a little bit funny this feeling inside. I'm not one of those who can easily hide. I don't have much money but boy if I did. I'd buy a big house where we both could ...

When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I'm feeling sad....

What a feeling.
What a feeling I am music now
Bein's believin'. I am rhythm now
Pictures come alive, you can dance right through your life.

The debate. Checked my recording. Frescos wants to move to build a bigger supermarket. It will be 40% bigger and create another 438 jobs. But according to Norris, most of those are connected with the construction. 438 still seems a lot of jobs!

I am sorry that my original post commenting on Phelan singing "Phelans" in the show has upset you.
However, it is actually a bit of a suspension of reality when a character "appears" to be referencing a long running thread about himself.

But there are some posters who think that tedious is interesting and funny. Then there are the rest of us.

As for Freshco, where would they get the staff to run it? No-one in the street is allowed to have a job outside the street. Even Jason finds sufficient work among the residents so that he isn't permanently working elsewhere.

It's irrelevant as far as the election (which takes place in the Wednesday episode next week) is concerned, but I doubt that either Sally or Norris will be elected - it will be the chap who had the sense to keep his mouth tightly shut in the "debate". I can't believe that the writers would actually make it either of other other two - they would both be totally unbearable.

Kind of ironic and funny that those saying the Phelan jokes are tedious keep repeating to the point of tedium too.

More of a writer's in-joke than an SOR, I'd have said.

How far away is Freshcos supposed to be? I assumed it was nowhere near because people were forced to do their shopping at Devs.

For me, a suspension is when you are dragged out of your immersion in the story and made aware that it is not real, either by something being out of place, way too stupid, or characters reminding you they are not real such as if Michael was to impersonate Mavis, or as happened the other night, Phelan doing his own parody.

How about a dead heat between the two of them (I think it is then decided by a toss of a coin !).
