I dislike the fact that they've brought in another villain and some are taking delight in it.
They've already got Tracy, who has lied, swindled, murdered, slept with just about every male on the street and is constantly scheming and trying to get one over on everyone. She does something nasty and smirks. Phelan does something nasty and smirks. He's a male version of Tracy but no-one thinks she's great. Why not? People are fed up with her.
Tracy doesn't get away with her schemes, apart from being let out of prison after murdering Charlie. Hopefully Phelan won't either. There isn't room for two schemers unless the writers have totally run out of ideas, in which case Corrie should end, and he can't be shown to prosper by being evil. It has to be resolved in the end just as the killing of Callum must eventually.
If the quality that was Corrie can't be regained, then put it out of its misery.
