Surely David was right, I doubt Lauren (and her adjoining Little Mix) would be intimidated by two-foot Sarah-Lou screeching in my face, although I commend her for actually giving a stuff about her daughter for a change, I don't think it would scare off the bullies.

He does the 'Voice Over' on the 'Amigo Loans' ad.
So appearing on this is clearly a step down for him.

Eva wants to build a career and her plan was working part time at the rovers and at underworld? Great plan!

Why would David need Gemma to go off on how Callum is still alive? Nobody is asking about him, he's barely been mentioned in months and even if people did think that he was dead and cared, they wouldn't really accuse David/Kylie/Sarah of being the one to have killed him.

Gemma is essentially a plot device to keep Callum being mentioned until one of the conspirators of coving up Callum's death finally cracks and blurts out to her that Callum is dead which will then lead to his body being discovered or something like that.

Just caught up with both of yesterday's shows.

What a pile of poop. Both of them were pointless. Two of the most boring episodes I've seen in a long while.

Shall I stick with it? Possibly.

Exactly.

The only reason anyone would think that he was even in the street is that his car was, but would anyone have even thought "That's Callum's car"? Did anyone see Tony and Todd steal it and set light to it? Not that we know of. Tony isn't around any more and Todd is hardly likely to mention it. It would be assumed that he'd driven off in it anyway.

No-one, not even Gemma, would even consider that maybe Kylie, David and Sarah could be involved in his disappearance - she knew he owed money. The only logical way the body could be found would be to do with Gail and her underfloor heating.

But then this is Corrie, so who knows what they'll come up with.

Or it turns out Gemma was telling the truth and HAS been speaking to him!
I wish there was a bit less over-acting. Gemma would be good if it wasnt for all the shrieking and gurning.
Michael has the opposite problem of underacting. He might as well be an ironing board propped up in the corner, lately. (Yet is capable of being great)

I'm sorry to harp on about bedrooms again, but how could there not be a spare room at the Nazirs for Alya's friend when Kal used to live there and presumably had his own room?

Apart from when he screws his face up and looks like he's simultaneously sucking a lemon and being stung on the tongue by an angry hornet! Actually, at this point he looks as if he's just about to launch into "I don't really know"....

Michael's acting seems to consist mostly of pulling (imo unconvincing) faces. He's got his stern face, his sad face, his po-face.... I know he's an idiot, but did he really think his angry, determined, brave face would scare off Phelan?

Michael sounds bored rigid every time he speaks

on the other hand Derek Griffiths (Kylie's friend) seems ok as an actor, seeing as my memories of him is singing with a load of stuffed toys on playschool 40 years ago

here's an SOR for most soaps

"I'll let myself out."

has anybody ever done that in somebody else's house?

Derek Griffiths has done far more than Play School in his career; anyone who's unaware of this should Google him. I sincerely hope we're not going to have endless "hilarious" Big Ted/Humpty jokes from posters on here every time he appears...

PLEASE no - start a separate "lame puns" thread.

How could anybody enjoy having their hair done with that shrieking in the salon!

There will be a spare room, granny Nazir hasn't heard yet that Rana is looking for somewhere to live

We actually saw a Street Cars taxi driver in last night's first episode, he didn't get to speak but at least we've seen one.

They'll be showing us Fat Brenda next.

Only sticking with it because Kate Oates is joining soon.

She's not going to be the saviour, the problem's run deeper than EP, but she can't do any worse than The Hat.

She did appear in the short-lived stage play played by Steve Huison.

Seems they're tending to just refer to her as Brenda, probably as a nod to the request to show soap people having a more healthy lifestyle.

Maybe she's called Fat Brenda because she's very thin - like Norman 'Curly' Watts, who had straight hair.

Could be because Steve Huison isn't exactly fat. I've only seen him as Eddie Windass and Lomper in "The Full Monty", but he didn't strike me as overweight.
