- people never move to Newcastle or Leeds or even that London it's always the Isle of Wight (Lloyd), Spain (Eva), Cyprus (Maria), and now bloody Peru with Emily,
but good point. nobody even moves local. they cant move to bolton or lancaster, has to be some where many many miles away. as for these impromptu affairs in hotel rooms, can i just walk into a random hotel, book a room now and take my g/f for a quick all sounds very seedy |

I'm guessing here, but I'd have expected a partnership agreement to have provision for profit sharing at set intervals, possibly once a year. In the meantime, the agreement could allow "salaries" to be paid to the partners.
But if it's a partnership, what did kevin give sophie 21% of? And an even poorer opinion of women. |

When Eva was doing her dating app in the Rovers, she was telling Liz to swipe left and right etc but when she said "swipe left", she actually swiped right and when she said to "swipe right", she actually swiped left

We saw Norris repeatedly telling Emily the idea was completely bonkers and he was the only one making any sense.
And when Emily left, wasn't that Nessa woman an old moo? Quote:
And as with anyone leaving at short notice, they wait until the evening to do so - whether it be 'that London', Portsmouth, Peru, etc. What's wrong with someone going in daylight?!

The new business in the arches, which isn't in partnership with Tyrone.
Will they call the new business The Arches to compete with the garage in EE?

Of course just before that we got the obligatory Eva laugh that is being shoehorned into every script now because some fans like it.

Leanne did move to Leeds for a few years and was barely mentioned. Martin also lives just down the road in Liverpool and I think he's had one visit from David since he went there.

Yeah what's that laugh all about? Are we supposed to find it amusing and/or endearing? As it happens the laugh itself doesn't especially bother me but I'm bemused why it's suddenly a thing since the actress came back from maternity leave? I don't recall her laughing like that before. They may as well just put her sign on her head saying 'hey, I'm a ditzy blonde!'

Maybe someone can help me on this one I think my eyes must have been deceiving me last night because I swear I saw Emily Bishop climbing into the back seat of a black taxi cab to take her to the airport.
![]() What was up with her taking any one of the 300 range of taxis a few yards away at Street Cars Ltd?, to think they have all those drivers just standing around waiting for jobs I was very disappointed in Emily. ![]() And no sad cow eyes looking out of the rear window as the taxi drew away as is normal on these occasions. |

Another lash-up during the year was when the scriptwriters got the dates of the school summer holidays wrong

A couple of times she's did that annoying laugh, I thought it sounded as if it had been dubbed..

That laugh is mad! It is probably meant to be amusing and endearing but it isn't.

What's with Corrie males taking advantage of upset, drunk women? There was Jason with Alya, now Robert with Carla.
Can't they keep it zipped? The scriptwriters must have a poor opinion of men! Speaking of cheating, let's see the amount of men who are like this:- * Tony Stewart cheats on partner Liz with Tracy * Brendan has his wife and Mary on the go and is using her * Robert returned and cheated on his wife with Tracy * Johnny had a fling with Carla's mum behind his wife's back. Now as people here have said, why did he have to have a wife? I know, because all the blokes have to be cheating scumbags. * Eva's fiancé who apparently cheated on her in France (which was just an excuse to bring her back). * Now it turns out Cathy's late husband was in cahoots with Nessa. Plus they like the introduce villainous characters who are now sleazy. Pat Phelan was sleazy, then there was Dan from the brewery beating up prostitutes, and then recently Luke's friend putting pornographic photos of Steph online. But again, they do the same to women who show lack of self respect. But they are treated more sympathetically and just having difficulty finding love. Quote:
'Fictional' which soaps are, mean it is not real, so suspensions of reality should be expected should they not?

You are right, men are portrayed like sleazy, cheating scumbags who are incapable of being faithful. Or they are just downright idiots.

You are right, but they need to be a bit grounded in reality. Something being fictional doesn't mean they can just write any old nonsense. Just from memory... Tracey Leanne Anna Rita Gail Audrey Nessa Sarah-Louise Carla Kylie Fiz Alya Sally Eileen Mary. ![]() Thank goodness Emily (Lady Edith) left before they make her have it away with Billy!

I'm pretty sure it was a Street Cars cab (driven by one of the anonymous "extra" drivers).
I don't know why but something really made me see a black cab in my crazy mind.

The women are no better though, mostly. In real life, very few women I know have affairs, but it is an everyday occurrence in Coronation street. More than half the women in the street have "strayed"
