Unlike in Wetherspoons, the Rovers barman/barlady will never say "right, who's next?" because there are never two customers wanting serving at the same time.

So after taking their orders, Andy promptly goes off shift not bothering to tell Steph that Eileen & Phelan have already ordered??

Yep, an assemble of idiots and real pains in the arse. You also left out Sean, what an awful awful scene in the Corner Shop. How can TPTB let crap like that slide?

And this stuff with the factory, we will have to put up with another storyline where their jobs are possibly on the line (yet it won't stop them boozing down the pub). And as I mentioned on the episode thread why should they care what Carla thinks? It was her gambling that caused the factory to go bankrupt in the first place, sod her if she goes mad.

About Tyrone and Fiz. Ever since Hopeless was put on remission I don't recall her ever being seen again. Now we just have Tyrone sulking and looking sad just because he has to go without his pints and chips.

Watching Anna and Big Kev walk into the Bistro tonight it must have been obvious to every single viewer watching the writers would have desperate Eileen and Evil Pat already sat there at the next table, ....... strewth you flippin writers give us a break.

In a similar vein, Audrey was outside the Salon with Max and er, whatever the other Kyle/David child is called, in daylight.

a) Had they closed early, as no-one else was there to run the place? (should have kept Gemma on! )
b) We'd already had the Kevin/Anna/Phelan/Eileen scene in the Bistro, so they must have all knocked off work very early!

(If it was summer, then the second thing wouldn't be an issue, but it's currently dark by around 6:00-6:30....... )

Yes noticed that tonight, ATTENTION ATTENTION EVERYONE SHIFT CHANGE SHIFT CHANGE.
When Nick walked into the hospital waiting room like he'd never been away I laughed heartedly.

Why does Sean put a tea towel over his shoulder when he's behind the Rovers bar do they think it makes him look more like a real barman because I can't recall ever seeing a bar person doing it and that's after spending years and years in pubs and bars.

Sarah Labour was quite a while. Gail went for an afternoon film yet only arrived when it must have been getting dark as it was pitch black when Kylie and Freddie arrived.

Well I did when working in a bar

That's interesting, from memory I can't ever remember one.
Maybe it's a location thing.

And what's all this with Kylie and Freddie?, tonight when they were in his bedroom sat on the bed I was starting to wonder, you know WONDER.

Was the flower shop closed before Todd decided to go in to reminisce with Sarah? He had seemingly been wandering the street all day, Sarah was back from shopping so I presume it was the afternoon. In they went, yet Tracy wasn't there at first. So there's either an unnamed and unseen co-worker who was working while Tracy and Todd weren't there, or maybe it closes for lunch? Or maybe it's just closed until the story warrants its use!

And Audrey, who is clearly a senior citizen, and NOT American, announced that Gail was 'Catching a movie' instead of what she would have said - 'She's gone to the pictures.'

As soon as Kev said to Annahorribilis that she needed a nice tea, I just knew it would be the Beestro and something would happen there.
The Corronation Steet writers are just going round in circles.

There has to be more to Underworld than contracts on the line.

Someone needs to drag Corrie into the 21st century and shut that place down. It was fine in the 1980s, but there are so many times the head can rely on last-minute interventions to save the day. There's no job security, business plan is unviable, they don't branch out to other ventures, it's all very outdated (not sure if it's done on purpose). Staff like Izzy couldn't possibly survive on the hours given, and it's her only source of work. And don't get me started about the Budget measures...........

Get a consortium in, turn the place into a call centre or hotel even. I remember years ago Holly Valance's character in Neighbours working at the local hotel to save up money, which looked far more real than knicker-factory Corrie. Though I wouldn't complain if they got Holly modelling lingerie than Sinead.

62: When leaving someone's house the visitor must say "I'll see myself out"

63. In every scene where someone has something worrying them inside but is not showing it at all the person who is meeting them must say "Are you alright?".

Phelan and Eileen carrying on right on the doorstep was vomworhy.

64. People in a new relationship always have to have a big public show of affection so everyone will know that they were at it the night before.

Like the giggling and running upstairs to have sex, it's so immature.

Did anybody at the hospital ask Audreh where Max and Lily were? hmm.

Audrey just passed Max and Lily over to Craig and his friend and just ran off.

Next we see them in Gail's house. How did they get in there? Audrey didn't give them a key.

And why is 70-odd year old Audrey, who owns a salon, babysitting the kids in the middle of the day whilst 50-odd year old Gail, who works as a cleaner, swans off to the pictures?

I found last night's episode very hit and miss.

The hits included ............

I loved the scenes with Todd and Sarah. They were realistically and sensitively handled. Excellent.

I also liked the interaction between Kylie and Freddie, although I was getting a little tired of hearing about Sadie but the scenes were well acted.

Now the misses..........

The awful gathering in the Corner Shop. Sean is gossiping about Anna, so who appears through the door on cue...Anna of course.... She gets upset so who appears through the door on cue ....Kevin

The awful gathering in the Florist's. Tracy being spiteful, as usual, Mary being stupid, as usual.

The awful gathering of the Platt Clan at the hospital. Why were they all there?

The awful gathering in the crowded Bistro.

As is the case these days, the misses outweighed the hits but at least there were a couple of successes.
