And why is 70-odd year old Audrey, who owns a salon, babysitting the kids in the middle of the day whilst 50-odd year old Gail, who works as a cleaner, swans off to the pictures?
Sue Nicholls (Audrey) is 72 Helen Worth (Gail) is........ 65! ![]() So we thought that Sarah was young when she had Bethany, but Audrey.....

Good point, but leads to something very interesting when Googling the actresses (and this may be wrong of course, but....)

I also liked the interaction between Kylie and Freddie, although I was getting a little tired of hearing about Sadie but the scenes were well acted

64. People in a new relationship always have to have a big public show of affection so everyone will know that they were at it the night before.
Like the giggling and running upstairs to have sex, it's so immature. |

Audrey just passed Max and Lily over to Craig and his friend and just ran off.
Next we see them in Gail's house. How did they get in there? Audrey didn't give them a key. As for Eileen and Phelan sucking each others faces with all that slurping noise - Ewww! Ewww! Ewww! Would have been horrible whoever it was. |

I found last night's episode very hit and miss.
The hits included ............ I loved the scenes with Todd and Sarah. They were realistically and sensitively handled. Excellent. I also liked the interaction between Kylie and Freddie, although I was getting a little tired of hearing about Sadie but the scenes were well acted. Now the misses.......... The awful gathering in the Corner Shop. Sean is gossiping about Anna, so who appears through the door on cue...Anna of course.... She gets upset so who appears through the door on cue ....Kevin ![]() The awful gathering in the Florist's. Tracy being spiteful, as usual, Mary being stupid, as usual. The awful gathering of the Platt Clan at the hospital. Why were they all there? The awful gathering in the crowded Bistro. As is the case these days, the misses outweighed the hits but at least there were a couple of successes. ![]() |

As mentioned by sorcha_healy27, the Connors are from an Irish background. We have seen Michelle's parents pay the occasional visit and they are Irish.

the timing was out as usual
in the florest the clock said 4:35 as sarah goes into labour Todd tells David and Audrey about sarah then later we see audrey with the GG kids, and she leaves them with Craig to go to the hospital so was audrey picking the kids up from after school club or something? if so, given that sarah went into labour in the florist at 4:35pm why was it still daytime Max was enjoying that painting session but i doubt a kid of nine would just paint the walls and let his baby sister do the same, if he did would he be savvy enough to put a mask on and Caitlyn, no matter how inexperienced she was with kids, would she really leave them to it with the paint, especially a 2-year old behind the scenes I bet the lad playing Max like the name of sarah.s baby behind the scenes I think the lad |

I had to laugh at Gemma calling those girls who were supposed to be bullying Bethany "skanks"
![]() And when Gemma was in the café she looked pregnant with her midriff sticking out from her clothes. |

That's what older people do when they've lost the person they've shared so many years with. They need to reminisce as part of the grieving process. It would have been unrealistic if he didn't keep talking about her.
Yes, I do realise that but as we never saw Sadie or knew anything about her or her life, the amount of screen time given over to Freddie's reminiscences should be kept to a miniumum. |

I agree, we should have has sadie as an actual character for us to relate to, like we can relate to Todd and Sarah's grief over Billy as we saw them loose him 11/12 years ago, they are actually playing a good part here which makes a change to be honest
saying that Derek Griffiths plays a good part as a grieving widow . as I've said before corry is let down by poor stories and rushed production |

Why can't Fiz walk in a straight line, wobbling along with a her feet all over the place and her hand up in the air? Not only that she looked like she was talking to herself!
Stops to talk to Audreh, giving her a google eyed stare at the same time, then wobbles off again. is it meant to be a comedy walk or her normal way of walking, I wonder?

You reminisce, but not normally with your dead relative's nail technician who they barely knew and who you have never met.

Nurse to Sarah: "Your waters could have broken without you noticing". Have the scriptwriters even MET anyone who has had a baby?

So ridiculous that Kylie was helping Freddie go through Sadie's stuff. Didn't he have any friends or relatives before Kylie came along?

What I found a bit daft was when Freddie said he wanted to keep Sadie's evening dress as she always said it made her feel like Veronica Lake. How old was Sadie meant to be, as you'd need to be pretty old to remember any of Veronica Lake's films?
If he'd said someone like Marilyn Monroe or some other film star of the 1950's or 60's, would have made more sense for someone of Sadie's age, but I think Veronica Lake was a bit before her time. The writers haven't a clue, she was probably the first old film star to come to mind.

I know. Absolutely bloody ridiculous. A nail technician from a back street salon miles away? A death's the very time that the deceased's relatives, as well as your own, rally round to help with things like that. When my mum and dad died, eleven and five years ago, the last people in the world I'd ask to go through their effects would be a hairdresser or barber. Why the f#ck would you? The writers in Corrie are in a world of their own

I spent my working life in "probate" and you'd be horrified at the attitudes of some people. CBA is very common. |
