talking of puddings why is it always sticky toffee pudding

a decade back it was always death by chocolate

are there no other pudding, personally I prefer profiteroles or lemon drizzle cake

and why, whenever somebody offer a friend a meal / dessert it's always their favourite
What happened to Black Forest Gateaux.?

The Sadie, Freddie, Kylie storyline is awful. Listening to the conversation between Freddie and Kylie about his life with Sadie, was so boring.

And are we meant to believe that Mary, having watched a couple of episodes of "Call the Midwife", was about to check Sarah's cervix, right there in the shop? Without even washing her hands?!
"Call the Midwife"? Sure it wasn't "All Creatures Great and Small" ?

Big SOR for me............ It comes to something when you feel sorry for Gail these days! I felt sad for her today when Michael told her he was moving away
Gail really needs some happiness and stop being portrayed as a dimwit most of the time.

Doesn't Michael already own an ice-cream van? Does anyone remember what happened to it after Nick smashed it? Pretty sure it didn't get sold, we just never saw it again but I could be mistaken.

How much school does Bethany miss? In a normal school year alarms would be raised but in year 11, especially 2 months before exams, they'd be massively concerned about her missing so much school. Bethany taking days off really is being treated as a normal thing to do when if you did this in real life then you'd have a tonne of catch-up work and would be watched closely.

The writers know that she is in her last year of secondary school and yet she's being bullied 4 months before her exams and is skipping school. Bethany has been at that school for over 6 months and yet the bullies decided that a few months before their exams was an appropriate time to bully Bethany instead of a year before then when she was the new kid.

With the mentions of how smart Bethany apparently is I have no doubt that she'll get brilliant marks in her GCSE's. I'm not sure about anyone else but to me, barely anything about Bethany since she has returned to the show seems realistic to any other 14-16 year old's life. She doesn't even seem to have fun.

I'm way too invested in this.

Gemma rang Callum's mam the other day when Sarah was still pregnant and in the cafe, as far as we know Gemma does not know that Sarah has given birth. So how did his mam know and that she was still in hospital to turn up and see Sarah and the baby?

Where do they plan on taking us with this storyline? I'm really confused, is it to just make Kylie look softer? Or maybe Marian, Callum's mum, will end up with Freddie.

You can't just wander in and out of Maternity units either. They are very security conscious.

Yes I agree, she used to be feisty in the past now she is portrayed as a simpering idiot

I have to disagree. I found it extremely moving and it had me in tears. Maybe that is because I'm dealing with a close death myself but I did find it well acted and sensitively done.

Regarding Bethany and the bullying, it would be far more believable if she was the bully.

Her appearance has changed so much I thought another actress had taken over.

They have changed her appearance to try and make the 'bullying' story believable trouble is they have failed because no one can forget Bethany's gobby wannabie gangsters moll character from when she was chasing Callum and being his drug courier..

I think I noticed it the other day parked up just around the corner on Rosamund Street along with Steve McDonald's plastic mini race car, Tim Metcalfe's window cleaning van and Big Kev's breakdown towtruck.

Even if she does will it lead anywhere? Has anyone been allowed to go to uni and get a degree since Sir Kenneth Barlow? Has anyone completed a course at college? Corrie and other soaps have a very flippant attitude to school and qualifications. Although, with Sir Ken advancing in years they'll need a replacement.

Why doesn't she hang out with the other teens like Craig and Faye? She probably wouldn't do that in real life but I'd like to see it, just to see how much older she looks than those two! They still look like kids.

More info required. When? Scene? We need to investigate!

Surely Corrie can't be that crap that they have these vehicles parked round the corner and allowed them to be in shot!

That is down to poor casting the actress who plays Bethany is 20 and way older than the character she's playing, whereas the actress and actor who play Faye are Craig are nearer the character age.

Characters present and gone who have for whatever reason had to disappear from the street for more than a month to help family out over the years.

How many can we get?.

1. Ken Barlow.
2.

I am surprised that there have been so few comments about last night particularly the scene in the florist, with Tracy, Mary, Todd and Sarah. just when you thought the scripts could not get any worse this comes along. The dialogue with Tracy and the rest was embarrasing to say the least. Now Tracy may be be a stupid and insensitive beatch but even she would not have come out with the drivel she did. Kate Ford must have read the scripy and thought you cannot seriously ask me to act these lines
Au contraire owl61, I thought the florist scene was brilliant - one of the funniest for ages! Fast-paced, daft (because it's not rl after all), everybody well in character and looking like they were enjoying themselves. A Corrie classic IMO.

On the Freddie issue - I skip his scenes because they're as interesting as hearing your mother in law ramble on about her neighbours from when she lived in Blackburn. But with less of a punchline. Caught the end to Freddie's silver dress story - apparently he 'felt like a king'. Good to know.

Mind you, a deft bit of misdirection with Freddie's 'suicide' scare. Corrie writers, you really are naughty for making me hope he'd taken an early exit (leaving Kylie tons of money in true soap tradition). Oh well

1. Ken Barlow.
2.
2. Fiz Stape - went to look after her mother Cilla for seven months
3. Roy Cropper - currently looking after his mother Sylvia
4. Maria Connor - currently looking after her father (I think)
5. Steve McDonald - although he left because of Tony, I believe he stuck around because Andy broke his leg
