I saw the top of the ice cream van parked somewhere in a far distant corner of the street.

Schools are closed for the Easter Hols. But then why is Bethany at school this week?

Schools here are still open. They either finish this evening or lunchtime today.

Schools here (in London) are still open. They either finish this evening or lunchtime today.

I thought Carla giving Michelle a "Boris" mankini as a gift was odd.
Do women friends really give each other sexy lingerie as gifts anyway? Seems a bit creepy and strange, especially as taste issues come into effect.

Not that you need to go to college or gain any experience in Corrieland. You can go from barmaid or shop assistant to running a business.

No, they don't - well I've never had a girl\woman friend give me sexy lingerie, but wasn't it a bathing costume for when Michelle went over to Spain?.

I've only just discovered this board so sorry this is a bit late but something happened that reminded me of Steph's 21st in CS. She was very hungover the next day and was holding on the bar groaning and then she dashed outside to be sick. Now if we were going to eat in a restaurant and saw the waitress throwing up outside the door we'd def not go in. Wouldn't like to see the manager snogging his woman either.

Michelle McDonald went to stay with her parents in Ireland when one of them had had a mishap.

Didn't Sally go to look after her mother and Kev had a fling with Natalie?

No, it was worse than a family illness. She stayed on because Bev's brother died.

Dev went to India to look after sick children or something.

<watching last night's as i actually had a life last night and went out>

the O'Driscolls have been locked up? either the Weathy court system runs especially quickly, or they've been remanded. and I can't see why they'd be remanded unless they were of any risk to any other random Polish slaves

And how come Sarah is in a private room instead of a ward - surely the budget can run to another bed, and a curtain or two. Its the same room Carla, Todd, Jason etc were in.

I think everyone gets a private room after having a baby now, dont they? (not necessarily the same one half their street died in)

Also how did Callum's mum know which hospital she was in and the exact ward and room?

The contract for the sale of Underworld's stuff is still in place with the O'Driscolls, so surely the O'Driscoll company is still legally liable to take delivery, and if they can't sell them on, then that's THEIR tough cheddar; if that company can't be run because the directors are unable to manage the business, then Underworld has the right to sue for loss of profit. Why doesn't Underworld keep making the stuff and go into retail? They could use Chesney's dog lead pitch at the market - that was another five minute wonder.

On the other hand, could O'Driscoll sue for the return of any cash paid in advance?

I'm sure Underworld will survive now that they have the wonder that is Eva manning the phone to drum up business.

Seriously? You dont think that maybe once she was at the hospital she asked a nurse or asked at reception where Sarah was?

They certainly don't here in Ireland unless you are in a private hospital and even then it could be a semi private (2 bed) ward. We don't have the NHS here, only 'public' treatment which is ward with up to 8 beds in a maternity hospital or 'private' and they have a very limited number of totally private single rooms for those on very high levels of health insurance. Or special cases needing a private room.
When you are in Labour having the baby you have the baby in a private room in the Labour Ward, then you are moved to the ward with other people.
