Say HE who made a non SOR post.
![]() It's a good laugh on here why are people trying to spoil it by acting like internet cops. Get on with it life is too short. ![]() Ring 999 if you were affected by this message. There's no problem that some non-SOR points are posted, but it has to be admitted that some of the posts, especially those which list countless irrelevant (to this thread) points are a little tedious. |

Erica's even lived in Spain for years. Paella should be a doddle for her.
When Erica first arrived on the street, she was dragging Nick off to bed every half hour and behaving like a true feisty Corrie woman. Now she's gone all coy with Dev and has to be lured round to his place by Mary under the pretense of having paella for dinner!

I know it's Corrie's way of trying to make us laugh, cry, have various emotions, but all they are doing is making me grind my teeth with irritation.
Sally's supercilious attitude towards her friends is totally OTT - NOT FUNNY ![]() Tracey's constant bitchiness is totally OTT - BEYOND ANNOYING ![]() Gail's whining & simpering is totally OTT - NO SYMPATHY ![]() Carla's handling of yet another blackmail plot is totally out of character. ![]() The only couples with any charisma and look like they belong together is Kylie and David. Such a shame they will have to break up All the characters have been pigeonholed into the dumb one, the clever one, the business one, the sexy one, the moaner, the eccentric. All females are gobby loudmouths. All males are long suffering nincompoops. Everyone must have amnesia and forget any friends and relatives who left the cobbles unless they are sainted enough to have a photograph in a strategic spot. Everyone must have a lobotomy and a personality transplant. Nobody must depart from their respective roles and they must wait their turn for the next blackmail/pregnancy/cheating SL, and anyone leaving must realise they will have the most ridiculous and unbelievable exit. I'm sure the cast have to give plenty of notice unless they are sick, but the exits still seem to look as though they have been hastily cobbled together with about 30 minutes discussion and scripts thrust into their hands 5 minutes before the recording. I guess I'm the dumbo for still watching. |

Do you think it's really "acting like internet cops" or trying to keep the thread on track?

Michael's certainly did. I don't think I've seen an exit worse than his. There was stuff about him and Gail getting back together when there'd been no mention of it from him before Friday's eps. Even Eileen asked him about him wanting to get back with Gail. Where did that come from?

My take on Michael's exit is that the seed has now been sown for him to return to Gail a happily married man regardless of having no interest in her since the great notgavin reveal, and that's how they will live when his play finishes until he gets another job away from The Street. Quite why he has had this volte-face is beyond my imagination except there's probably nowhere else he can live when he returns.

Still, to give them their due, selling ice cream in Brighton is more believable than a great aunt with a twisted ankle.

) seemed to know. Gail's face in the Rovers and the - 'Ooohhh, he's come for me,' were cringeworthy and the continuity with Tim and Eileen was so obvious. One minute they were in the settled in the cab office and the next they were all togged up in hats and coats in the street. For the world's longest running soap and for all its past glories and wonderful characters etc., it's become an insult and an embarrassment. |

I think you are both right but the sudden interest in Gail was rushed and very badly done. One minute he's not interested and then suddenly he wants her back and within a nano second the whole street (Eileen

"Eileen dumped me so I might have you back". ![]() Edit.. To be clear, the suspension of reality is that the Gail of old, (in the days when feisty meant more than having a bit of a snarl ) who stood up to serial killers, crazed nurses, and even Ivy Tilsely, would never entertain the idea of taking back the slimeball who dumped her for Eileen. |

Was having a reminisce with my brother about our lives and we were talking about my mother working at home.
First she was a machinist outworker for Fairy Glen Doll's clothes and I remember her having to sew a gross of doll's knickers. Later she was a machinist for a company that made shirts and she sewed individual sleeves for men's shirts. Someone else made the bodies of the shirts and they were assembled elsewhere. She didn't have an industrial machine, but we had friends who did and they were employed at home by various garment or curtain making companies. The fabric, thread and trimmings were delivered and the finished sewing collected later in the week. They were paid per completed item. My point is wouldn't it make more sense for the factory to employ home machinists rather than have them in the factory. They'd get more work done instead of spending all their time on tea breaks or chatting instead of working and the company would actually make money but we wouldn't have the "hilarious" scenes in the factory which would mean that we'd be missing a huge chunk of the "action". |
