Although I'm not a fan of Izzy's character or this storyline, I hated the way Shariff just said "so take an Aspirin" about chronic pain.
I'm glad Erica corrected him about it. That attitude is so annoyingly common.

Yes so much if you like sitcoms such as "Some Mothers Do Have Em"
![]() ![]() Corrie reminds me of Benidorm. It's not a programme I've seen a lot of but it seems similar in terms of having a lot of camp OTT characters, weird/odd characters and unfunny scenarios. |

Why do they always portray custody sergeants as grumpy and unhelpful
and what on earth was all that with the lion costume. Gary certainly wouldn't of been arrested for that tiny bit of weed!! First offence he would of just been cautioned ![]() I've decided that Fiz's mashed potato deserves a SoR in its own right. It looked more like 2 week old stodgy porrage - I could make good use of it though for filling up a few masonry cracks. |

Presumably Maria hired a babysitter to look after Liam while she looked after Urp and Rooobeh?

As mentioned earlier, the Police DONT arrest people for possession of cannabis.
Unless you've got the size of a brick on you, or numerous small bags of the stuff. The amount ginger bollocks had on him would warrant a warning only. Unless he'd received a prior 'warning' registered on the police national computer. Why don't the idiots responsible for this shite do their research? FFS. |

Do they do everything in that one room? Cook, eat, watch TV, girls' play, keep it as a shrine to J&V and have all their washing hanging about? I just surprised they don't bathe in the sink with a box of OMO a la old man Steptoe. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...2977696ac4.jpg I'm sure I've seen an ep with Fiz crimping a pie with her teeth!

Sinead's cold seem to make her voice 10x worse! She really does lays it on thick. ![]() She's turned into a pointless character, wish she and Chesney would head off to Portugal - one way ticket. Quote:

Suspicion of possession of cannabis? How is it a suspicion when he got caught with it infront of many witnesses?
Yet again Gary can do no wrong in Anna's eyes. What a repulsive human being, it has to be Izzy and Sharif's fault that he took it upon himself to buy the drugs. Sharif had every right to call the police with the way Gary was acting, how was he supposed to know it was only a bit of weed (as has been mentioned, nowhere near enough for any officer to give a stuff about). That's a great plan Izzy, get yourself arrested and get Gary into even more trouble. If ever a night of corrie demonstrated how much deadwood was in this cast, tonight was it. Izzy and Anna's scenes were excruciatingly bad, especially when Izzy was badmouthing the police whether at home or in the interview. I haven't heard a character sound so dumb on this show for a while, the poor acting certainly didn't help. When Maria and Luke were babysitting where was Liam? Did they really babysit somebody else's kids and leave their own with someone else's? It seems that way as there was no mention of him and in which room would he be in? Doubt he'd be alseep at whatever sort of early time it was. And as for that dressing as a lion scene, what was the writer thinking? Did Blackburn tell the writers that they need to have some obvious fun scenes (which wasn't actually that fun) to put in a highlights reel to be played at all of the award shows for the next year? I can't think of any other reason why they'd do that. |

I just want to confirm my understanding of the Maria storyline.
1. Whilst "looking after her injured mother" she works in another salon 2. Whilst there she marries a gay Argentinan to enable him to live in the UK so that he can live with his boyfriend who he can marry perfectly legally. 3. She then lies about the arrangement, until it's conveniently unearthed by her coffee-expert boyfriend. 4. Maria then seems surprised and bemused as to why her boyfriend would object to the whole arrangement. 5. In order to win Luke back she dresses up as a lion, so not only does he forgive her, he has sex with her in the salon in the middle of the day and then proposes. 6. Maria accepts the proposal and they get engaged, despite her already being married. Seems perfectly plausible to me. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Typical of a Maria s/l under Blackburn!! She'll probably be offscreen for 5 weeks now!! ![]() Sad as I am I have to admit to enjoying the Maria/Luke stuff last night & her 'making herself look stupid for making him look stupid!!" ![]() It actually finally led to some chemistry between the two!! That said as a Maria fan I've become immune to her not having storylines so will put up with any old shite... ![]() As regards to Luke shagging her in the Salon .....I would...I so would!!!!!!

BIB Izzy really is an appalling actor. How on earth the person who plays her is an actor is beyond me. And her ridiculous over pronunciation of words in an over the top northern accent just make me cringe they so sound so bad!

Maybe the only mature member of the cast - Ozzie the dog - was babysitting Liam. |

The way the police officers asked about Jake makes me think they will be contacting social services and Izzy could well be getting a visit from them which will be nothing more than she deserves.
