Sophie was like some evil predator lurking in the shadows waiting for her prey to come into view. When Kate greeted Carla at the Christening reception and was in a middle of a conversation with her, Sophie appeared from behind and grabbed her and said "hey" interrupting them in the process.

But she did remind us tonight that she is a Christian; first time for yonks, I think

Underworld management suddenly worried about staff working under the influence of drugs or drink when it's long been a factory tradition to repair to the Rovers in your lunch break for a pint or two. Health and safety gone mad, I tell you.

According to gary tonight, the gym's a partnership, not a private or limited company at all. So how come Sharif gave him a share in anticipation of marriage?

So far as I know, if you're a partner, you can't just give away a fraction of your partner status. And if you want a new partner in, you'd need the approval of the other partners, and the newcomer would put an agreed sum of money into the business. Obviously the exact rights and obligations depend on the partnership agreement.

And usually the bistro's busy even at 5pm on a Monday. Suddenly, tonight, no paying customers.

For those of us who will see these episodes a week later I beseech you to tell us an odd time there's some relief in sight from the young and the useless who are writing the story lines. They're beating us like rented mules.

Johnny Connor hands Izzy a quadruple whiskey in the Mike Baldin style while asking her about using drugs at work.

Johnny inviting Izzy back for the decision and pouring two whiskies. To discuss having to take seriously drinking alcohol or taking drugs on duty! I know the shift had finished but seriously. Would you ask your employee in for a chat and offer them am alcoholic drink?

They didn't seem that bothered when Izzy was knocked out of her chair at work, they were more concerned about Sean's coat getting nicked.

Made me laugh when Michelle's ex came in and said that Saskia had suddenly decided to add an extra 50 guests to the wedding. What a stupid figure, how could you draw up a list of guests and suddenly realise you had left such a large number off the original. Really terrible writing just so Michelle can play away just before Steve comes back, he will probably walk through the door just as they have their first kiss as yet again the immaculate timing that Corrie is made up of these days kicks in.

On the same note assuming the wedding is in the next couple of weeks or so there is little chance of cancelling the existing venue and finding a new bigger venue at short notice, plus all of the extra catering that would need to be done. Michelle should have told him it was tough, the arrangements were in place and it is too late to change.

And although the poncho (and clipboard ) seem to have temporarily vanished, she seemed to be amazingly smartly (over) dressed for "working" in a scruffy back street garage!

I think with Liz's new 'friend' they are both pretending to the the parents not the grandparents. the way Sam said 'Dad' was added to make Liz think he's his dad, and him and Amy are in on it.

and Amy would not be able to text Michelle and say Sam's dad is picking her up, schools have a very strict policy on who picks a child up as we discussed when Callum picked Max up one time, they have a list for each child and the school would have contacted tracey to ask her if it's ok for Sam's dad to take her home, it has to be cleared by the school. I've picked up friend's children from school and they inform the school beforehand who I am so they know the child is going with somebody the parents know and trusts.

Fizz said her cooking was diabolical, they agree with us

Why has Nick suddenly started having temper outbursts? He's been fine for months and suddenly, apparently without anything that could have triggered it, he's very short tempered over the slightest thing almost to the point of violence.

Yes, he's having trouble finding a place in Devon/Cornwall or whereever they're supposed to be moving to, but is that any more stressful than the deliberations over selling the Bistro, or indeed running the Bistro?

Nick did mention to David that he thought his brain problems were comthing back as he had been having headaches and losing his temper quite a bit.

She is at high school, so can she not just walk out the gate without a parent anyway (being 12), and then go with whoever is outside waiting for her, as others come and go on their own on the bus anyway.

It is his head injury appearing again, which David has noticed for weeks now, and has been keeping an eye on him.

Nothing to do with stressful situations making him angry,

Yes I agree. They could have just phoned Michelle and asked her. Or rang the venue themselves and said 'can we fit an extra 50 people in that room do you think'. Any hotel would say 'of course we would love to take more money off you for 50 more people, really we will find them chairs somewhere'. Rather than Michelle and Will having to actually travel there to physically look at the room. What a lark! I bet they will go up and look at the 'Honeymoon Suite' while they are there...

I obviously missed it being mentioned previously.

If you understand anything about a brain injury then you would know that it doesnt need mentioning. Brain injuries simply dont go away. Some people learn to cope while others, like my step-daughter, have irrational occasional outbursts due to the injury

Why was Freddie at the christening, and for that matter why was Ken even there, seemed a bit daft , as it was a private family christening, it's not as if he's Audrey's partner or anything ? Obviously , they were brought in for comedy purposes, so that Ken could pull faces and act all jealous!

But I don't know anything about brain injuries - don't know anyone with one and am not a medic.

Once the immediate aftermath of the injury had been dealt with, I don't remember David saying anything recently about keeping an eye on Nick or Nick mentioning recently that he'd been having headaches and losing his temper or seeing him lose his temper. So I obviously missed seeing it/it being mentioned or it's the usual Corrie way of dealing with something and then forgetting all about it until it's needed by the plot as they did with David's epilepsy, Tracey's kidney transplant, Max's ADHD, Hope's cancer, Simon's abuse of Leanne ..........

Ken was there as he is supposedly "dating" Audrey.

Frankie was there was Sarah asked Kylie to ask him, as he seemed nice, and she wanted nice people to be there.

Nick's head injury problem only first came to light again a couple of weeks ago , that was when he blew up at the girl in the street who was bullying Bethany. Don't recall it being mentioned before that
