Jesus, Liz dancing to Shania Twain.

The ol' "I'll make a fool of myself while I'm alone, until someone creeps up on me" scene.

But I don't know anything about brain injuries - don't know anyone with one and am not a medic.

Once the immediate aftermath of the injury had been dealt with, I don't remember David saying anything recently about keeping an eye on Nick or Nick mentioning recently that he'd been having headaches and losing his temper or seeing him lose his temper. So I obviously missed seeing it/it being mentioned or it's the usual Corrie way of dealing with something and then forgetting all about it until it's needed by the plot as they did with David's epilepsy, Tracey's kidney transplant, Max's ADHD, Hope's cancer, Simon's abuse of Leanne ..........
It has mentioned a few times, I know before last night David has questioned Nick about it, but NIck dismissed it (when walking down the street I believe, maybe Wednesday or Friday), and you can see the way David has been watching Nick, seeing how he reacts, listening when someone says about his behavior, like Carla mentioning the outburst on the phone, he pieced it all together, then asked him again at the end of Monday's episode outside the Bistro.

Nick said that his headaches were coming back, and he was forgetting things (just before he said he was going other to check on Sarah as she was on her own, and Carla said "you do remember Kylie is there with her), David said he best get to the doctor to check it out, Nick saying "oh, it's that simple is it", David replying "yeah, go doctors. check it out", Nick then basically broke down about it returning, how it ruined his marraige to Leanne, and if it is back, it may do the same with him and Carla, so it's not simple (as in, it could ruin everything, and maybe he'd rather not know).

Ken was there as he is supposedly "dating" Audrey.

Frankie was there was Sarah asked Kylie to ask him, as he seemed nice, and she wanted nice people to be there.
My mistake, I didn't know Kylie invited him

Never knew Ken and Audrey were "dating " either, I thought she had lost interest iin hom since Freddie came on the scene

Nick's head injury problem only first came to light again a couple of weeks ago , that was when he blew up at the girl in the street who was bullying Bethany. Don't recall it being mentioned before that
Yes, I believe this is about when David started noticing the slight changes in Nick's behavior, and has thus been watching him closely.

So didn't miss anything. It's all been fine with no mention of it until he suddenly blew up at Bethany's bullies a couple of weeks ago. The usual Corrie "tick a box" dealt with until it suddenly needs to be resurrected for a new plot.

Did he get a mention? I missed that. I did think of this thread when I noticed the Rovers doesnt keep the white wine in the fridge
Yes, Gail said the birthday card was from her dad.

Dating Audrey? I missed it. I do enjoy Ken's face pulling though.

Made me laugh when Michelle's ex came in and said that Saskia had suddenly decided to add an extra 50 guests to the wedding. What a stupid figure, how could you draw up a list of guests and suddenly realise you had left such a large number off the original. Really terrible writing just so Michelle can play away just before Steve comes back, he will probably walk through the door just as they have their first kiss as yet again the immaculate timing that Corrie is made up of these days kicks in.

On the same note assuming the wedding is in the next couple of weeks or so there is little chance of cancelling the existing venue and finding a new bigger venue at short notice, plus all of the extra catering that would need to be done. Michelle should have told him it was tough, the arrangements were in place and it is too late to change.
Another 50 guests? Ludicrous. If the wedding is in a few weeks why were Michelle and the ex sitting in the bistro recently tasting the food? Wouldn't food have been sorted out ages ago and weren't they also discussing the possibility of the bistro as a venue? With arrangements not being in place and the wedding so soon, the writers are making Michelle seem like a crap wedding planner.

I think with Liz's new 'friend' they are both pretending to the the parents not the grandparents. the way Sam said 'Dad' was added to make Liz think he's his dad, and him and Amy are in on it.

and Amy would not be able to text Michelle and say Sam's dad is picking her up, schools have a very strict policy on who picks a child up as we discussed when Callum picked Max up one time, they have a list for each child and the school would have contacted tracey to ask her if it's ok for Sam's dad to take her home, it has to be cleared by the school. I've picked up friend's children from school and they inform the school beforehand who I am so they know the child is going with somebody the parents know and trusts.

Fizz said her cooking was diabolical, they agree with us
And won't it be hilarious when we find out! Ha Ha. Hee hee. Ha Ha. Hee hee. Ha.........

You obviously have, as you stated you had not heard any mention of headaches, which there has been, and that you didn't know that David was keeping an eye on Nick (he might not have SAID he was, but it is very obvious if you are watching the program to see that he is).

As stated above, injuries like this can surface again years later, without having shown any symptoms in between.

I love how Izzy was told she could not operate machinery after a spliff but it is fine for the rest of them to go to the Rovers every lunchtime…

Indeed! If there's an extra 50 guests, this implies a shed load of existing guests, say about 200 if 50 more can be looked at in this way. The Bistro would hold a cramped 60 or so, although it does expand as needed of course

But then again, maybe the planning was really bad, they invited 10 folks and only then remembered the other 50......

But she did remind us tonight that she is a Christian; first time for yonks, I think
Yes, it was something like "I'm a Christian - forgiveness comes with the job."

Hallelujah! The Messiah - Messawfie? - lives humbly among the people of the cobbles

Yep, dancing like no-one's watching proves you're a wild child and no slouch in the bedroom department either.

Guaranteed to drive men wild .

Does Ken know she's lost interest, though?

At primary school, yes. But shouldn't Amy be at secondary school by now? Almost all children her age would be going home by themselves ... or picked up by parents double parked and blocking the road.

Don't Liz and Michelle realise that taking money out of the till to give to children, or giving free drinks to their friends, is actually tax evasion? HMRC has pretty good estimates of the purchases/sales ratios for most types of business.

Bethany yet again not in school my word! She's not in school enough to have a bullying storyline and seeing as it's not particularly being well done why did they even bother with it?

Sophie and forgiveness? Where was that forgiveness when Jenny returned and she was apparently the devil? Oh but she wasn't "in love" with Jenny so forgiveness was off the table, Kate on the other hand...

I feel like most of the kids on the street would be better off in care seeing s all of the parents go off to the pub 1st chance they get so I couldn't care less about izzy saying that she's doing this for Jake.

Yet again with the unrealistic tiny milk in the Platt household.

As I said above:

She is at high school, so can she not just walk out the gate without a parent anyway (being 12), and then go with whoever is outside waiting for her, as others come and go on their own on the bus anyway.
She goes to Weatherfield High

Seriously?! Do you think any other viewers notice/are remotely perturbed by that?

Johnny Conner concerned about health and safety to question someone about taking cannabis before operating a machine but not concerned enough to insist a ambulance is called when someone get's knocked out of a wheelchair dislocating a hip while at work.

John isn't the only one to mention it so yes, other viewers must notice and care about it.

Oh Yes. It's taken quite seriously on here I'm afraid. We are very concerned about the milk buying on the street. And the audacious way the programme makers continually, to coin an expression used here before, beat us like rented mules, viz-a-vis the tiny quantities of milk being transported up and down from Dev's. I'd imagine they are doing it on purpose at this point just to whip us into a frenzy of indignation.

That and playing hide and seek with the Spotted Ironing Board leaning against the wall under the stairs in Platt's house. (we noticed).

I expect it will be the 'Spotted Ironing Board' that will reveal the hiding place of Callum's corpse.

We buy our milk from a supermarket, in big bottles, but if we are running low for any reason, we pop to corner shop to get a small bottle (as it's so expensive, we get enough for what we need at that time, knowing someone can pop supermarket later in the day).

Just saying.....
