It was pathetic. Michelle looked like she was choking on summin, the way she clasped her hand exasperatedly over her mouth. Then you had silly moo Anna deciding to intervene, because she was getting bored.

Have Sophie, Steph's brother (name escapes me at this moment, that's how deadwood he is), and Anna got better things to do on a Wednesday night then watch Kevin about to dump a lady, in full view? Stay classy.

And it's taken Kevin a couple of 'single' nights, and date with Joanne to realise he actually wants to jump Anna's bones. Yawn!!!!

Said Corrie's missing link, grease monkey to Joanne!

Meanwhile, Michelle, Luke, Sophie and Anna were bunched up all together at the Rovers bar, waiting for the 'show' to begin and gawping like a bunch of village idiots. And how very convenient no-one was standing in their way and blocking the view!

Darling! It's called acting!

It's about time Corrie gave Michelle something more to do than be an interloper and Carla's sidekick.

Yes Beth, Izzy and Sean, the correct way to respond to watching a family being torn apart is to sit there either laughing or pulling the most stupid faces that they possibly can. Was there any need to make that be a public fight? Everyone around them didn't add anything good to the scene and just makes that factory even more of a joke than it already is. It's funny how in the morning Sinead and the other workers were talking like Underworld is a realistic business in 2016, hopefully Kate Oates has plans to get rid of that factory for good.

I don't think he does, unless he's come to an unmentioned agreement with aidan about the stolen money. Aidan bought into the factory, and he'd also stolen money from johnny. You'd need to go to court to attempt to prove that those two facts were related.

I'm not sure now. However, what you say is true. It was Aidan who actually bought into the factory. Who knows? I thought Carla bought a share in the Rovers and David adopted Max! Maybe I ought to pay more attention.

.. I like it.

She could also have said (after looking at Anna's belly) ... 'you must be due very soon - here have my seat'

Now that would have been genius Corrie comedy and very much in line with Joanne's character who is ditzy but well-intentioned.
Of course we couldn't have Anna being the butt of the joke though

Certainly not. Perish the thought.

More's the pity.

It's funny that Kevin has "no chemistry" with Joanne who is a level or two above the fishwife (though he probably is settling for his own level)

A dead rat is a level or two above the fishwife.

Not an SoR, and sorry if it's been pointed out before, but the actress playing Joanne, Martha Cope, is the daughter of Kenneth Cope who played Jed Stone.

How Kevin could prefer Anna over her though is quite an SoR.

Yeah I noticed that yesterday.

So that is both Kenneth Cope's wife and daughter who have appeared on Coronation Street (his wife played Jed's girlfriend in 1961).

They tried to make Joanne annoying, but really she isn't bad when compared to Anna (or any of the other unpleasant characters). Bet they won't be sniggering or laughing
Spoiler
when Pat Phelan arrives back on the scene.

Joanne wasn't so much annoying as pushy and desperate. Must be a story in her past to have made her that way, which could be interesting but, of course, they won't explore it because she doesn't live on the street.

Nessa won't be around much longer because she lives elsewhere, but Cathy will because she'll move in with Roy permanently.

As for Carla telling the factory workers that Johnny is her father, the best way to stop gossips speculating is to tell them the facts. Won't stop them gossiping but at least it will be about fact and not any wild fantasy that could have repercussions.

Don't if anyone else has mentioned it but why the hell did Michelle and Liz leave the bar and join the 'Johnny Connor's me dad reveal'? Were Corrie so desperate to include Liz and Michelle and get more mileage from a crap SL by having the people in the bar gossip about it?

Aidan telling Johnny to get out of the factory when Johnny owns part of it! And that big announcement from Carla to her staff, 'Johnny Connor's me dad'! As if.”

I know as if anyone in a management role would really make an announcement to their staff about anything of a personal level such as this! How to gain respect in the workplace

Johnny actually left the Street last night to live "with a mate" , that was a surprise, a character actually living elsewhere, was expecting Liz to come out and say he could move into the pub!
I have to say this is what I hate most about Corrie these days, that everyone has to live on the Street, all crammed into tiny houses and flats. Why can't they show people's house's away away from there, the way they used to? Even Audrey's house in Grasmere Drive hasn't been seen since Lewis was on the go about 3 years ago, I remember when we used to see Mike Baldwin's flat at the Quays all the time, and Betty's house where she lived with her cat and which she used to get a bus to, and does anyone remember when Gail and Brian lived on a council estate miles away? It's just so claustrophobic nowadays, with everyone bumping into one another at every corner.

So true, these days just about everyone lives, works, eats out and only sleeps with someone all on the same street.

I wonder whether the actress daughter of the person who plays Liz will be introduced into the cast at some stage?

And even though I think Anna is attractive , I agree that Joanne is on a completely different level. Rather as in the 2012 version of 'Les Miserables', when the activist prefers the blonde, simpering Cosette over the gorgeous Eponine.

Exactly, and this latest pairing of Kevin and Anna is unbelievably boring. I hate it when they pair up people who've been neighbours for years and never gave each other a second glance, it's just so lazy! It's a case of, let's put Anna with Kev, so that she'll move into No.13, and that will free up the bookies flat for someone else. Possibly a Connor, I imagine.

Looks like she's already been in the show (I don't remember her though):

It's that "who's not bonked who" spreadsheet I alluded to in a recent post...

A mate "On the other side of Weatherfield". Sort of implies that Johnny Connor has been in/around the area for years (also suggestions that he has local business contacts), so how come he has just materialised from nowhere?!

Roy and Cathy. Apart from being annoying how she is taking all this out on Roy, when all he wanted to do was look out for her, the question I have is, if she's "leaving" him, were they an item?

I thought she was just staying in his spare room whilst she got round to clearing out her own house. Are we to assume they've actually been sharing a room? I personally think this is one of the biggest SOR's - someone like Roy would (probably) prefer to be alone with his memories of Hayley than to settle down with someone else. Of course, this can't happen, as, as has been mentioned before, it's a CS rule that no-one can not be a relationship....
