Um, I did that. Met at 14, on/off for 4 years, met again through t'internet at 42 (both divorced), fell into bed after 3 days and moved in together for 2 years! Nearly got married. We had some issues (hence splitting up again) but definitely did fancy each other and probably always will.

I'm 70 (M) and am still in touch with, and on friendly terms with, a girl from my primary school, so we have known each other for way over 60 years, That said, "crush" and "fancy" were never part of our vocabulary - just friends who have never actually grown away from each other.

Best kind of friendship, i think. I fell for a guy in my 20's, we both married other people but remained friends for 50 years until his death. I still miss talking to him. And yes, there was still a bit of fancying going on.

why did he not go round the back. if they were still filming on the quay street set where those building didn't have a usable back they would have a excuse but those buildings on the new set do have a sizable rear area where phelan could have easily been filmed walking round behind the kebab shop / roys / community center and breaking in via the fire door

Where they filmed it would have no bearing. Its easy to mock up a rear entrance if required.

Because that would have been sensible and required a bit of thought on the part of the writers. And he wouldn't have needed to make such a shifty face because viewers are too thick to realise he was up to no good without it being well and truly signposted. And there wouldn't have been anyone seeing him come out, to be mentioned at a future date.

I'd have thought - and this is pure guesswork - that a property licensed to be used as a community centre, and a place to hold public meetings, would need by law to have a rear entrance.

Don't know about shops, or if the public footfall has to be above a certain number, but I do know that places where the public are likely to be for more than just popping in and out such as The Kabin where you'd only be stopping to buy sweets or a magazine, including community centres, pubs, dance halls, schools, e.t.c. do have to have clearly marked fire exits in green and white (lit at night) in addition to the entrance. So yes, the community centre would have a rear exit, if only as an emergency exit. Even the Kabin would need a rear door or window.

Even if it only had panic bars on the inside, I'm sure someone as resourceful as Phelan would be able to get in that way.

No matter how big or small someone's house is they always manage to open the door within five seconds of knocking/ringing. My house is only a regular 3 bed semi but it can take me 30 seconds or more to get to the door., even if I'm just sat watching TV.

Is that Jane Leeves (Daphne from Frasier) flashing her knickers in the opening scene. No wonder Niles had the hots for her.

He's trying to get Jason to go for the Freshco development, and he had heard (while in the Kabin) about the meeting, and that after it, no one will want it to go ahead (because 10 people in the community centre will make the difference), and of course, Jason is bound to get the contract (after all, he missed fixing Rita's leaky drainpipe to go and have a look at the Frescho site), as that's how supermarkets work

I don't think he wants to disrupt the meeting. I think he just wants to drum up business for Jason at 'mates rates'

See above, it was because of the "keep Frescho out" meeting, he didn't want it to go ahead, so that he can shoehorn Jason into the building contract.

Would a small two man firm, be given the job of building a large supermarket? Or does master builder Jason have other men working for him who we never see?

Plus, would stopping the meeting make any difference anyway?

Let's assume that the aforementioned 10 people who would have turned up were against the new supermarket. The meeting didn't go ahead, so when the Planners tried to find out if local folks supported the new build, these same people, as they didn't get to find out the details, decided that they wouldn't object after all....

So, this week we move from a couch in a hairdressers to a cupboard in the community centre. If I remember correctly, Kevin and the fishwife were having a good old go at in the garage office until they were disturbed.

How utterly boring the scenes between Zeedan, Rana and Yaseem were. Carrying on in a cupboard and first aid demo. Who cares?

And who cares about Cathy and her nephew? So he likes going drinking. And repeat. Yawn zzzzzzzzzzz.

It's been a few years since I worked in an office but wouldn't you have to be on a list of approved contractors? And......a contract wouldn't be sorted that quickly, there would be a deadline and meetings.

Thought Jason's acting when he was told his father was dead was abysmal.
