Monday's episodes were tedious. Why on earth did they kill off Tony? Him clashing with Phelan would've been gold. No one cares about 'fiesty' bitches like Tracy and Carla, it's about time Corrie had some real, strong men clashing.

Todd trying to catch Phelan out..........yawn. Phelan worming his way out.............yawn!!! The silly writers should never have brought him back if he wasn't a reformed character. If there was better closure to the Windass debacle in the first place, he wouldn't need to return.

First scene on Monday.............Michelle enters the backroom, claims she had a 'rough' night, yet not a hair out of place, make up perfectly done, looking somewhat radiant.................blimey.

Corrie could do with a new wriitng team. Where are the complex characters? It says something that there's more realism in a work of fiction like Game of Thrones, and their death count isn't plausible compared to Corrie.

She is Michelle Connor of the powerful Connor family. In Corrie terms that is the equivalent of being a superhero. That's why we see her perfectly groomed at all times. There will never be no make up free, hair in rollers, cup of tea in one and a fag in the other front room scenes in the Rovers for someone as perfect as Michelle 'Steve's lucky to have her' Connor.

Talking of "cups of tea", I'm quite surprised by the use of teapots. Is that an SOR? do people just throw a tea bag in a mug, and get on with it?

I noticed the teapots as I believe that the only way to make proper tea is with leaf tea in a pot, and serve it in a cup.

In typical Corrie form Tracy's past actions are forgotten. Jason blames Liz for Tony's death, but is civil towards Tracy.

Then again Jason seems to have forgotten she was responsible for murdering his best friend.

No they werent, Eileen told Jason that Tony cheated with Tracy

Which makes it even more of SOR! It was good though when Tracey did her sensitive little speech, then handed Jase a biz card for all his funeral floristry needs Weirdly, Jason didn't have a problem with that.

Getting back to Liz - in these situations, the wronged person is always too tactful to say what actually happened - like Liz in the pub scene - so ends up taking the blame for everything.

And anyway, if Jason is in bits, head all over the place, lashing out and the million other cliches Eileen does in her 'tragic' voice - how comes he welcomes the idea of Todd coming back home? You'd think he'd hate Todd's guts too, after his elaborate plot to make it look like Tony was copping off with Eva.

With his squinty cross face, Jason seems to have been taking acting lessons from Young Simon. Look out Eileen, next thing you know he'll be launching an Alien Death Grip at your midriff.

It doesn't do to over analyse every single scene, just relax watch and go with the flow.

Jason opens can of beer, takes a couple of mouthfuls and then hurls it at the wall. Where was the rest of the beer from the can?

Ma Nazir being supremely sexist - she giggled about Zeedan and WhatserName having it off in the 'Stock Cupboard' and 'oh you young people, I have a sex life too', titter, titter type of thing.
Yet when her grandaughter Alya was found to have slept with Jason, where was her sense of humour then I'd like to know? The poor girl was nearly outcast from society. She didn't see that in the same light at all.

Maybe because they were different circumstances?

Zeedan and WhatsherName are in a relationship, whereas Alya was not in a relationship with Jason, as she was in one with Gary at the time, i do believe.

I don't think she was referring to anything more than what she called 'canoodling'. She wasn't suggesting they were having it off in the cupboard, as indeed they weren't which was confirmed afterwards. Nor was she talking about her and Sharif having sex before marriage - just canoodling again. .

Anyway, Anna Fishwife was in the cafe yesterday with her hair tied back but it was lovely and shiney. What happened to greasy haired Anna? Isn't the poor love under any stress this week which calls for horrible hair?

Also in the cafe was Cathy. And guess what? Alex hadn't turned up and she was worried. Again. Then he turned up with a hangover. Again! He clearly needs looking after properly and obviously his mother isn't up to the job!

Maybe you are right. Maybe Yasmeen thought it was more innocent than it was. And maybe Zeedan was also saying later that he wanted to respect her or some such. It wasn't very clear, he seemed to be turning Rana down when she suggested another rendevous at one point. I am wondering where this Zeedan thing is going. I still think Rana is going to try to seduce Pa Nazir at some point. That'll be fun if it happens.
