Tony's flat was in Manchester, not Birmingham. I remember one episode when he was seeing Tracey , he was living with Liz at the time, but he still had his flat not far away and took her there. A lot of the knock off goods they were selling in her shop were stored there at the time.
I remember his flat in Manchester but wasn't sure if that was the flat they went to.

The kitchen is very similar to this but not sure if the rest of the flat is.

No sign of brown sauce or tea bags!

Yes I recall his original flat being in Manchester and him and Tracy going there, but I think he had since moved to Birmingham and think this was mentioned on Friday and it was a different flat

Very probably : I don't pay as much attention as I used to.

Isn't Carla 40+, so Johnny has to be at least 60? And isn't Gemma about 18?
Probably but that still doesn't make

Johnny (older man)/Jenny 45 (middle aged)
Jason 33 (30-something)/Gemma 18+ (young)

old men/young girl couplings.

So can we expect Gemma up the duff as that seems to be the outcome of every drunken shagging in corrie.

It certainly didn't look like the same swanky flat, not the kind of place you would see old teabags piled up around the place!

Must have missed the bit where they said he had moved to Birmingham, I didn't thiink Jason and the others travelled that far to get to his flat.

Was surprised to see that the actress who plays Gemma is 29, so don't think she's meant to be that much younger than Jason.

If Gemma has known Kylie for a while she has to be of a similar age to Kylie so early to mid-20s

Gemma must be older than that as she was friends with Callum and she was friends with Kylie as well. She knew Kylie from way back from when Kylie and Callum were partners so presumably they've known each other since before Max was born so Gemma has to be early to mid-20s.

It doesn't matter, she still looks far too young for a bloke who looks as old as jason. Not to mention that she probably has double the IQ : she'd soon tire of him.

Is that really the case? ................
I certainly thought it was, but a quick Google search doesn't give any support. Maybe it was something I misunderstood years ago, and have never bothered to check.

I have heard that as well. If a body has to be brought back from overseas, the costs are very high.

BTW Before my mother died, but when she was showing signs of 'old age' and couldn't manage her affairs properly, I transferred her bank account into a joint account with myself. When the inevitable happened, there was no problem, I continued running the account.

Just catching up on last week's episodes and I don't know if it's been discussed but I was absolutely astonished to see a scene between Maria and Michelle discussing young Liam . Do the writers read the forums as it's something that has been moaned about a lot? . Well done Corrie on finally acknowledging this.

I noticed that too, with some amazement! It was when Maria brought the home-made birthday card from Liam for Michelle's birthday wasn't it?

Corrie are trying it on.

In the vid, some of the kitchen looks exactly the same. It's got an island with a sink and a black leather sofa on one side of it. So they must mean it to be Tony's flat in Manchester. No brown sauce or tea bags though. So there's the first issue! The rest of the layout was wrong. The front door is now where the bedroom was.

Is that why the lighting was very dim and the flat was camouflaged with far more boxed stuff than before? More cheap production values because Corrie couldn't be ars£d to make another proper set of Tony's flat?

Thanks. I only asked out of interest because I had a recent bereavement which called for this and other than petrol costs, am not aware of being paying for this service.

Yes, I was astonished too.

But even more astonished that Liam didn't take the card in person to his auntie and do it on her actual birthday! But then Michelle was wallowing in her personal dilemma with Will - 'to shag or not shag, that is the question'.

It was filler. But more natural filler. It's about time we had more interaction with Maria, Liam and Michelle and less of gay, Argentinian husbands, met in Cyprus and only in Corrie for a week to facilitate a 'big' return for Maria. And we don't need any more sh@gging in the salon either!

Nick's doing well. I know he has gone to a private clinic but he's managed to see a consultant on Bank Holiday Monday.

And despite his appointment being "after dinner", he was there and back before it was 4pm in the Rovers.

Real mixed bag of weather in Wethie on Bank Holiday Monday:
Warm and sunny for the Nazir's to cut the lawn and have a BBQ, showery so Lily needed the raincover on her buggy for her visit to the feeding farm and chilly enough for Carla to have her flame effect fire on in her flat!

Up north dinner is lunch! Mind you, with Nick being an upwardly moblie ex bistro owner would probably call the midday meal lunch.

Is it in Kym Marsh's contract that almost every episode she appears in someone must say "you are the best thing that has happened to Steve?" It is getting so boring. No credit is given to Steve for the fact Michelle wouldn't be going around acting like businesswoman of the year if it wasn't for him buying her the Rovers to run as she was a mere barmaid beforehand (apart from relying on Carla for office work at the factory).

And no wonder people don't believe Sophie as she is always acting spiteful and bitchy. I don't like Caz, but dislike Sophie even more as it is clear she only wants to come between her and Kate to get the latter into bed.

Well, he looks 40+. He's not really planning to try to conquer hollywood, is? They have plenty of aged actors playing character roles.

The writers seem to be heading for a series of old man/young girl scenarios.

Johnny/Jenny
Jason / Gemma

Is there anyone young they could bring in for ken and kevin ?

Because jason presumably doesn't know whether Tony left a will. And if he did, the will would name an executor, who'd be responsible for sorting out Tony's affairs.

Did Tony die in Birmingham, because that's where someone said the flat was. In which case, to have the funeral in Salford, they'd have to pay every single parish the corpse was transported through.

Y

While not a fan of Tony as a character , let's get this straight. He bought steve's share, and was willing to buy liz's share, for their full market values.
You do know that that is a complete myth?

And here in East Anglia. Lovely sunny morning, walked to the corner shop, bought some plants, managed to get a few planted before the heavens opened and it bucketed down.

Yes they are. However moving a dead body from one part of the country to another doesnt mean you have to pay every council or parish you pass through, a complete myth

Right.

Sophie Fecking Webster.

Isn't she a bl@@dy busybody? What business is it of hers what Kate and Caz do? Also her acting was abysmal. A very obvious look of suspicion was written all over her face in the garden. Then she was foghorning at Kevin. The whole street must have heard her. Whatever, Sophie suspects and whether she is right or wrong, it is nothing to do with her. Sophie who is always right, saviour and Christian. Her interest has got nowt to do with Sophie's frustration at fancying Kate, has it?

And then there's Michelle Connor. Why do her and Steve even bother with a relationship? Michelle and Liz are closer than Steve and Michelle.

Steve's lucky to have her. Liz is lucky to have her. In fact, we're all lucky to have her. She's the best thing that ever happened to all of us.

With Liz she's all repentant, then she's at Steve's throat. She's told Liz about Will and the 'kiss'. A kiss! Did Liz see her when she went out with all her goods on show? And she missed the bit about rolling around have a snog and a grope on Will's bed. It all has to be very fragrant and why was Michelle telling Steve off for discussing their problems with Tim when she tells anyone she likes?

After all that the daft cow doesn't want to waste her night off by spending time with her husband.

And don't get me started on the Nazir's BBQ. Yasmeen. Sally. Mary and her bunions.

Corrie have been writing it into the script for years. Bonkers.

When she questioned Caz, she sounded like an immature, spiteful child. She's a hopeless actress.
