Then she was foghorning at Kevin. The whole street must have heard her. Whatever, Sophie suspects and whether she is right or wrong, it is nothing to do with her. Sophie who is always right, saviour and Christian. Her interest has got nowt to do with Sophie's frustration at fancying Kate, has it?

And then there's Michelle Connor. Why do her and Steve even bother with a relationship? Michelle and Liz are closer than Steve and Michelle.

Steve's lucky to have her. Liz is lucky to have her. In fact, we're all lucky to have her. She's the best thing that ever happened to all of us.

With Liz she's all repentant, then she's at Steve's throat. She's told Liz about Will and the 'kiss'. A kiss! Did Liz see her when she went out with all her goods on show? And she missed the bit about rolling around have a snog and a grope on Will's bed. It all has to be very fragrant and why was Michelle telling Steve off for discussing their problems with Tim when she tells anyone she likes?

After all that the daft cow doesn't want to waste her night off by spending time with her husband.

And don't get me started on the Nazir's BBQ. Yasmeen. Sally. Mary and her bunions. ”

And so what if Caz did stretch the truth in order to get back with Kate! Its hardly a crime, is it?
I was hoping for Caz to smack her one.

To be fair, up North dinner is dinner. For some reason it's called lunch down South!

Breakfast, dinner and tea for me. At school we had dinner ladies not lunch ladies. If we go out for a meal in the evening it's still not dinner, but TBH I'm not sure what it is! Probably still tea, but as I can't remember the last time we did, then I'll have to pass on that one

Indeed, I remember in the North East, you had dinner at 12 o'clock, tea about 5pm and supper any time between 7pm and 10pm.

Thanks, that's interesting. Though it's certainly seems to be a common belief.

Was there a continuity error in tonight's first episode?

Starts off with Nick out for a run and telling David that Carla's gone into t'factoreh to catch up on some work. But he only found this out at home a couple of scenes later, over breakfast...

Two scenes shown the wrong way round?

It's all different down south. When I worked in London people would tell me that fish and chips for tea with chip butties was just not done and bread was never served with yer dinner!

There's nowt as good as chips with bread and butter esp. when the hot chips melt the butter! Yummeeee. And anyway they don't even have proper fish and chips in London just some stuff called rock and chips. Those southern softies just don't know what they're missing.

Indeedy. What the **** has it got to do with Sophie Webster? She's just busting her pants because she fancies Kate. Poor writing and even worse acting. Corrie needs to get rid.

And that acting masterstroke - the folding of the arms! Brilliant!

Why even bother with a Steve and Michelle relationship? There isn't one. Liz seems to think a good sh@g is the answer to all their problems. Corrie please don't do a giggling run up the stairs for a bonk and all their problems are solved scene. Their problem is that Michelle spends her time running after Carla and Steve spends his time with another Corrie chump formerly known as Lloyd and now known as Tim.

That's hardly surprising as Liz is Weatherfield's answer to Samantha Jones

On another note, I liked the little reminder of Kathy's hoarding tendencies when she was stocking up on all the leftovers

No it wasn't a continuity error. Nick had just made up a reason on the spot when David questioned him as to why Carla was not going with him to see the doctor as he didn't want to admit to David that he hadn't told her. But from Nick's responses David then works it out that Nick hadn't told her and was lying about Carla going to work. David later said if you don't tell her I will which left Nick fretting for the rest of the two episodes that David was going to spill the beans.

Fair enough, thanks for that. So it was just a lucky prediction on Nick's part...

Gemma said a few weeks ago that she first knew Kylie when they were 5 years old

Of course Sophie doesn't like her and has every reason to after being threatened by her a few week ago

Of course he can't. He's just lashing out.

Where I live if you live outside the borough, you have to pay a lot extra for a funeral. Even if you lived all your life here and then go to a care home aged 90 for a short time elsewhere, you have to pay the non-resident extra fee. But be a resident in the area for a short time, having lived 90 years elsewhere, and you pay only the resident's fee.

IF Tony was living in Birmingham and the funeral was in Manchester, the I suppose it would apply. But it looks like he lived in Manchester still.

To be honest I don't think dimbo Jason aiming his anger at Liz is a SOR just him being dumb and not realising if it hadn't been for Tony cheating on Liz with Tracy and him trying to rip off Liz to get is hands on the Rovers then Liz wouldn't have dumped him in such a public way so if he should be angry with anyone it should be Tracy.

What extras are you on about? The cost of a funeral wouldnt be affected by where you live.

Caz had no right to threaten her, but she is the wronged party, not Sophie, who wont take no for an answer and is deliberately trying to split them up.

It will most probably be that Caz is lying about her injury, whether it's any business of Sophie's is a different matter.

I am getting more and more fed up of the Michelle/Steve/Liz argy bargy. The marriage of Steve and Michelle simply isn't real enough to be of any interest, Michelle is stomping round clutching her wedding file and looking grumpy and hard done by, for no good reason, except her sense of being permanently entitled. Then Liz starts discussing her son's sex life with Michelle. Ugh. A thousand winces and cringes.

Are we now going to see the excuse the Nick and Carla wedding is called off because Nick going to be accused of domestic violence or a least because of his brain injury anger problems he is having, rather than Carla admitting she shagged Robert.

All of this. ^^^

Sophie was the one who kissed Kate. She isn't interfering because Kate is her friend. She's doing it because she fancies Kate. But now Sophie is the goodie who will of course unmask Caz who is the baddie.

The cemeteries and crematorium are run by the local authority and they impose a surcharge if you live outside the authority.Nothing to do with the funeral directors, although they collect and pass on to the authority the basic charge or surcharge.

Absolutely spot on, as is the rest. The character's permanently entitled and Corrie try to make Michelle seem like an important character when she isn't.

Liz and sex eh? The answer to everything.

What I'd really like to know is why Michelle is the best thing to happen to Steve and the whole family.

Anyone?
