I can believe that. Death is a very lucrative business.

Is this all penciled in for BGT week? I thought Callum might have got an airing for that. With Tony dying and him burning Callum's car, the blame for the murder might be passed to him. Or is that too complicated for Corrie? Do they only do linear SLs?

BGT week? Realised that this must be Britain's (not) Got Talent, but what does it have to do with CS? Is there some sort of link, or what?

There's traditionally a "big story" stripped Mon-Fri at 9:00 after BGT.

Because of that BGT crap, Corrie is usually shown later in the evening during that week and the corrie lot usually make a half arsed attempt at making it more dramatic some attempt to make sure people still watch it rather than something else that might be on at the same time on other channels.

Some councils may levy a charge (for burial, not sure about cremation) whereas a lot dont. My local council only as one surcharge and that is for a Saturday service

One eye-watering expense is if you want to use a double-decker grave when the deceased doesn't have the right of burial there. Yes, sounds odd, but....
When her mother died, my mother bought a double deck grave space for herself as well. She didn't use it as my dad had her cremated. So, there's a space at Ealing cemetery that I can use, once the transfer charges are paid - £300+ when I last looked. There must be thousands of unoccupied spaces like that. (I also have a (slightly cheaper) right of burial at Bexleyheath!)

Liz and sex eh? The answer to everything.

Anyone?

Steve and Michelle are stale. Who's bright idea was it to have them married months after he was treated for CLINICAL depression?

It's like watching Jack and Vera minus the warmth and charm, and everything that made that couple so believable.

And that's Corrie's biggest problem in a nutshell. They are geared up to event telly, so Christmas, BGT, the weel before the NTAs they will try their hardest to air 'big' storylines.

God knows how they would do the Alan Bradley/Rita/Blackpool storyline now. Probably milk it for what its worth.

They were never fresh because apart from her bullying him, there's never been an on-screen relationship to see. J&V had some good spats/scenes/SLs they were full of warmth and humour. They had chemistry, charisma and humour. Steve and Michelle have zero.

Spoiler
Get milking! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...ew-scenes.html

Filmed ages ago. Probably being saved for BGT week!

I keep wondering what hidden talents Michelle has that makes her the best thing that ever happened to Steve (he's MY SON you know) McDonald.
Does she perform a juggling/unicycle routine for them in the evenings? Lay golden eggs?

Spoiler
It looks like Jenny got the wrong child because this one is GINORMOUS

Breakfast, dinner and tea for me. At school we had dinner ladies not lunch ladies. If we go out for a meal in the evening it's still not dinner, but TBH I'm not sure what it is! Probably still tea, but as I can't remember the last time we did, then I'll have to pass on that one ”

this confused my american friends this weekend when i took them out for dinner in the middle of the day

Fine talents but not enough to make her the best thing that's ever happened to Steve or the McDonald family. She didn't even make any financial investment to help start their businesses. They've given her a job and put a roof over her head. All she ever does is stand behind the bar doing nothing or do paperwork and is always whinging when she does that.

Spoiler
He does look ginormous. He was tiny when Jenny kidnapped him. He's been recast.

I always get the feeling that the producers are trying to ram the Michelle character down our throat !!..... but she can't act !!!

Shame, Steve has had some brilliant wives. Sadly, they left because they were all talented actresses.

I think we are stuck with Michelle, with her zero personality

Well, no reason why she can't do it again then! And make it soon.

Steve's had so many wives. I think they want it to stop and have settled for her. Also they see her as a big Corrie star simply because she's always in the media and is a known name. She appears regularly on TV shows. The actual part of Michelle on Corrie certainly doesn't warrant her elevated status. It's been long suspected the Connor clan were extended and given lots of power, so that Michelle Connor will be part of a business family.

Although in this years BnGT week there is an England football match on Friday with a 7.45 kick off, which means it won't finish until gone 9.30pm, so I guess Corrie will either be shown at 7pm or maybe on Sunday.

I understand Corrie will be shown daily, Sunday to Thursday.

Surprised no one has mentioned (unless i've missed it) Nick pouring boiling water straight out of the kettle onto his hand, and apart from the initial reaction of shouting and throwing the mug, after just shaking his hand about a little bit, he seemed fine!

He didn't even run it under cold water?! Surely if that had happened in real life the skin on the hand would be very red and sore, and would possibly need hospital attention.

Carla has turned into a simpering needy clingy shadow of herself in the past few episodes. She would never have acted with Peter the way she acts with Nick. All the lovey dovey stuff with Nick.So unlike her. He smashes mugs etc and its like she is consoling a 3 yr old.. oh poor baby did diddums smash a mug,oh never mind, Mummy is not cross with you here is a choccy bikkie...

I know I thought this too. He would have been in agony and his hand would have probably blistered. But as you say he shook it about a bit and Carla (the caring fiancee ) just made him put his arms round her. She should have been helping him with his hand
