Compassionate, community-spirited genuine do-gooder, Yasmeen, had suddenly developed into a vindictive spiteful neighbour. Now she is wanting to build an extension just to piss Sally off. Odd, very, odd.

In my experience, these type of people are the worst. I have a neighbour who is extremely community orientated but if he takes a dislike to someone, will diss them to everyone. Trust me, I know !

If I spent a fortune on an orangery to spite the neighbours my husband would make inquiries about having me committed.
Sharif just shrugs.

Come on, it was a hugely disfiguring, life-changing scar along the same lines as Todd's one.

In the real world, Eileen would have been sacked on the spot for talking to her boss like she did to Tim. But of course there isn't anyone living in the street looking for a job at the moment who can conveniently take it, so she can say and do what she likes.

Seems to be a common theme in Corrie for the employees to talk to the bosses like dirt, it's always happening in Underworld.

She should have called him Mr Metcalfe, in the Underworld style.

She speaks to the customers in a horrible manner too. If anyone spoke to me the way she does I'd tell her where to shove her cabs.

Tim and Steve are classed by Corrie as idiots. Eileen is a clever feisty woman. So by Corrie rules she is allowed to get away with it.

Not often. Bosses in Underworld are never addressed by their first name. It's always Mr or Mrs. Bosses in Underworld are Connors and they don't have the likes of Beth, Sinead, Sean and Sally talk to them like dirt.

Why is Sarah living in David's house with Harry? Don't Nick and Carla both have flats wouldn't it make more sense for them to live in one and Sarah the other at least until they are sold. Also where is Bethany? Have the bullies got to her and no one noticed? Doesn't she have exams starting in a couple of weeks maybe they should send out a search party

Only the other week a group of them were demanding answers over what was going to happen to the factory with Carla moving away and also when that business with the O'Driscolls kicked off and Eva was helping Aiden to try and get contracts to replace the O'Driscoll one they were shouting the odds at the Conner's demanding to know what was going on..

Yes but as I said not often. They used to do similar with Baldwin. But most of the time they're in the tipping their forelock mode. Unless of course Corrie are now trying to move away from that out-dated tone.

Spoiler
Maybe things will change when Carla leaves. She has been similar to Baldwin. It's about time things changed in that respect. At times the way Baldwin and Mrs Connor have been depicted, you'd think the factory was some Victorian sweatshop!

If they were moving away from outdated then the factory wouldn't exist as most clothes manufacturing is now outsourced to sweatshops in Asia and the far east.

But not all, there are still plenty of factories around in this country making clothes, so i see no reason why there wouldn't be one in Wetherfield.

Only last week, on that bargain shop fly on the wall documentary program on ITV, they were running out of leggings, and got a factory in Leicester (I believe) to knock up some samples in a hurry, then make an order,.

Yet many retailers will use the excuse it's cheaper for them to get the stuff from abroad because UK factories overcharge.

The difference being in Leicester the workers knock up all the clothing in the factory. In weatherfield the clothing factory workers all get knocked up.

Then again , she is Horrible Eileen! She gets away with murder in the cab office as her bosses are all soft touch idiots, the latest being Tim.
She couldn't work anywhere else but there, as a different job might mean she'd have to get off her backside and move around, which would never do.
She has a brilliant job, where she can sit all day drinking tea and eating biscuits, and make sarky comments to her bosses.

Didn't see that. Was the factory in Leicester big? I can see a large factory working because they can take advantage with economies of scale. Underworld is just a small factory and can't really compete.

Underworld harks back to Mike Baldwin's day when a lot of women worked in factories. As others have said time and time again - it's time to move on.

How someone caring like Billy would want the self obsessed prick like Sean. Actually, it is a major SOR how nobody tells Sean to shut the f*ck up, he is really needy and annoying and in your face.

And is often abusive to the customers who phone up.

Obviously. It is to demonstrate that she is the big strong female character, and Tim and Steve being the males are weak and pathetic and enjoy being spoken to like crap. Even though when it comes down to it Eileen is just a bitch, I cannot wait until Phelan cons the fool. Then she can huddle up round the back of Liz's and the two hags can complain how awful blokes are to them (even though a week later a bloke will smile at the pair and they will go weak at the knees).

Ha ha, yes! That is so true.

I used to like Eileen until she got her claws into Tiny Fireman, right in front of his wife. Then she jumped on Michael at the slightest whiff that his marriage to Gail was in trouble and now she thinks she's found her knight in shining armour with Phelan, well I just cannot wait for her downfall at the hands of the sneaky Scouser.

I also wish they'd stop making Tim such a wimp. I really like him and the dynamic between him and Sally but they seriously do not need to make him such a wet blanket.
