I can't see how Underworld makes any profit as very little work seems to get done and they seem to have far too many staff just wandering about not actually doing anything and as for the main street characters that are there the kettle is more likely to get worn out rather than any of the machines with the amount of times they are seen on a break having a brew, not that any of them would be in a fit state to operate a machine after their lunch break at the Rovers anyway.

So true, the 'Tim want beef' scene was embarrassing, but I guess it was really to set up the even more embarrassing scene when Steve did the same thing with Miss Hell.

I'm betting the worm will turn and Sally will get the shock of her life when Tim finally gets fed up with being treated like he is.

That's what did for Eileen. Horrible SL.

You'd think so. When he said he hardly seen her or hadn't seen her because of her council work it seemed that he might try and make her quit. But then this is Corrie.

And Corrie, please stop with the Yasmeen and Sally garden wars.

I am waiting for this, and there have been a few hints it might be on its way. But honestly, how could anyone bear to live with Sally's utter ridiculous snobbery which has gone beyond her being a bit of a snob which was part of a more complex character to a totally deluded simpleton.

You'd think Tim would consider not seeing much of Sally a blessing rather than complain about it.

Yes all that garden business is about is an excuse for Sally and Yasmeen to boss their menfolk about into doing their bidding to get one over on each other.

Apparently not.

Even when Steve bought the pub she moaned. Why would giving her his credit card to buy a nice frock and taking her out be any different? Her life is just one big moan-fest.

Todd and Phelan. Phelan was bound to outwit Todd. Did anyone not see that coming?

Silly women getting one over on each other. The Corrie staple. Hilarious.

I don't think Phelan outwitting Todd was the point of doing all that, either way I came into this thread to mention Phelan thought of his backup plan really quickly.

Total SOR. How can a very obvious female go shopping with a credit card in the name of Steven MacDonald? Even if she knows his PIN even the most dimwit of shop assistants would realise that a possible fraudulent transaction was taking place!

Seriously, is there anyone who gives a flying **** about Steve and Michelle?

Who is remotely interested in Michelle torturing herself over one kiss?

Is her relationship with Steve even believable? There is zero chemistry, why are they elevated as some hot super couple?

My missus couldn't believe the crap that Steve said to Michelle in that second episode. 'You're funny'......as ****! She is a boorish bint, whose idea of comedy is belittling her partner at any given opportunity. She nags and treats him as some village idiot. She's mellowed down since the depression saga, but as I've said before, no charm or warmth in the character to pull it through.

Who was responsible for that crap written tonight? Almost bordered on propaganda in favour of Michelle.......I'll be sending a letter of complaint first thing tomorrow. And it wasn't just this storyline, the quality has seriously dropped.

On another note, it's a shame Kylie will be leaving. A complex character, unlike those clapped out barmaids and Underworld staff.

Is Marsh contributing to the scripts? Every episode the character is getting some compliment dropped on her and told how great she is. She has had everything handed to her on a plate, I'd like to see how she would cope if she properly had to invest in something and start up herself without relying on Steve, Liz or Carla.

Corrie actually believe this pair to be the next best Corrie couple.

It often seems to be the better actors/characters that leave the show while people like dreadful Michelle just carry on and on.
When is this ridiculous storyline of Callum under the Platts floor ending anyone know?.

I shop for my elderly mother on her debit card using her pin, and i'm sure married couples do the same

What was the point? Not sure what you mean.

I meant it clear what would happen. That Todd would rumble Phelan and then Phelan would finding out and wangle it so he looked like hero. So obvious. Hasn't it all been done before?

Clichéd nonsense.

I'm sure it happens all the time (I've done the same with my daughter's card) but nevertheless any alert shopkeeper should question why a female is using a card in the name of a man (especially when he wasn't with her). The way it was portrayed on Corrie was that it was an acceptable thing to do, which isn't giving a very good message to its audience.

You beat me to it!

So Steve got all better in Spain without Michelle but it was all down to her that he got all better. How does that work then? Was it because she wasn't there and he could relax without her giving him earache 24/7?

BIB Sycophantic crap.

Basically the equivalent of a party political broadcast on behalf of Michelle Connor. It's a Corrie mantra - Michelle Connor is the best thing to happen to the McDonalds, Steve is lucky to have her and she is well fit. And repeat. You will believe it.

And purrleeeze did I espy the said Steve and Michelle dashing out of the lounge heading towards the stairs for what's known as The Corrie Run, Giggle and Shag before Liz magically appeared?

Someone gets on the wrong side of Phelan

Phelan threatens that person, the nastiness comes out

Obtain evidence that Phelan is a baddie

Phelan is two steps ahead

Eileen forces whoever to apologise to Pat

Rinse and repeat

And you wonder why Corrie has become sh*t!

Corrie are deluded. 😂 😂 😂

They aren't even the best couple on Corrie. Tim and Sally are miles better, and they were only put together by a stroke of serendipity. Thank goodness Carla's going soon, but why must all the women be tied down to men living on the street?

Michelle's a moaning minnie. She is never satisfied. There's always 'drama' involved, always knives drawn in the backroom, and cosy chats with Carla. Yawn!! Do me a favour.

What exactly is the point of this storyline with Will? Have we seen the last of him? Does it serve any purpose, other than to elevate Michelle's position as Lady of Weatherfield now Carla Quackers is going? The writing tonight was so poor they may as well have posted a booklet telling us why Michelle is so great, why we love her, and why she's the best thing since sliced bread? Actually scratch that, they can't justify...........it's all pontificating. Michelle is great.............no questions asked.

I get that Steve going away has troubled her. But if she understood his depression, why couldn't she understand or contemplate him needing time off to find himself. And love works both ways.................you support your partner. She makes it sound as if Steve didn't want anything to do with her, yet she went to Spain and enjoyed it. I'm guessing the only reason she wanted him back was to nag and control him..........that's the message I'm getting from the writers.

There's no substance to Michelle. That's the issue I have. What is her raison d'etre? Why should I get all choked up and misty eyed because Steve hasn't been there for her?

Kylie, on the other hand, was a brilliantly crafted character, who was on the way up until Blackburn introduced Callum and signed off that pathetic exit storyline for Paula's maternity.

That said, the actress' quality shines through.........she will leave a big hole in the Platt household, no puns intended. The Connors on the other hand...........................no one would batter an eyelid. In fact, had Carla left a year or so ago, she would've salvaged her reputation as one of the better soap characters. Now, just a flimsy, clapped-out person.

It's always all about her innit?

Makes you wonder if this latest OTT stuff has been brought on by a new boss arriving and Corrie are trying to impress what a fab character Michelle is so that they won't get rid. Not that she necessarily needs to be got rid of; some good SLs would help.

Speaking of getting rid though; Sophie Webster. She can't act. Her face when Caz was talking to her in the Rovers was laughable. I see she had her trusty clipboard at hand when she spoke to Kate outside the factory! And that bl@@dy awful Basil Brush jacket that she wears!
