Total SOR .........Sean comparing Billy to Montgomery Clift in 'I Confess'

A film released sixty three years ago and rarely seen on TV. Another one of those random lines given to a character for effect but with no thought or reason attached to it.

Really big spoiler, especially in the last few second of this trailer for BGT week. Definitely don't open the link if you don't even like hints on what's coming up.

More like Field Marshal Montgomery of Alamein.

Jason trying to get off with Eva, and inviting her to "Come back to my place" was laughable! He still lives with his Mum in a poky overcrowded house, although he is about 33 and runs his own contruction company, yet seems incapable of moving out. He ended up taking Gemma back to the bedroom that he must obviously share with his brother.

Yeah the old romantic, he certainly knows how to woo the ladies with invites like that.

How much longer are we going to have to put up with him stomping around and scowling at everybody? He's getting more like that brat Simon everyday, he's even growing the same hairdo, I've noticed. Where is he, anyway?

Thanks.

In snippets, that looks exciting. In reality, we'll have to see.

Pathetic wasn't it?

Eileen has always lived in a house full of males with a few gays thrown in who she can boss about. The problem is that they are all getting on a bit now and should be moving out. How long can Corrie keep up this scenario and how many more times is Todd going to move out and back in again?

I can see Sean still living there when he's 60! What is the attraction with Eileen's house, that no one ever wants to leave? She's hardly the perfect landlady, she can't cook, so it's been said, and is a horrible person.

It certainly is an odd set up , Sean has lived in her front room for about 12 years, even though he now has got 3 jobs, and must be raking it in

I really, really hope Michelle week is over, Steve and her, talk about a borefest. To be honest, only Phelan's shenanigans are making it worth watching at the moment.

Total SOR. How can a very obvious female go shopping with a credit card in the name of Steven MacDonald? Even if she knows his PIN even the most dimwit of shop assistants would realise that a possible fraudulent transaction was taking place!
I shop for my elderly mother on her debit card using her pin, and i'm sure married couples do the same
I'm sure it happens all the time (I've done the same with my daughter's card) but nevertheless any alert shopkeeper should question why a female is using a card in the name of a man (especially when he wasn't with her). The way it was portrayed on Corrie was that it was an acceptable thing to do, which isn't giving a very good message to its audience.
Sorry abt the multiple quote!
In my working probate life I had one case where the widow continued to use her late husband's card for three months for herself after he died, (not helped by the bank ignoring the death cert), and she wasn't even entitled to the account, which went to the children.....
Not one shop seemed to have noticed the discrepancy
We eventually got the money back

Argh! Never ask where an annoying character is, as it always brings them back! He'll reappear on Monday now, mark my words!

I don't think Phelan outwitting Todd was the point of doing all that, either way I came into this thread to mention Phelan thought of his backup plan really quickly.
He must be razor sharp: As he crouches down to pick up the dropped money, he spots Todd ("hiding") and before he's even stood back up, has hatched the phoney receipts plan!

BTW, I liked how they knew the lockup was full of valuable gear from just looking at the boxes. Don't they ever watch "Storage Wars" and realise that they might just be empty?

You beat me to it!

So Steve got all better in Spain without Michelle but it was all down to her that he got all better. How does that work then? Was it because she wasn't there and he could relax without her giving him earache 24/7?

BIB Sycophantic crap.

Basically the equivalent of a party political broadcast on behalf of Michelle Connor. It's a Corrie mantra - Michelle Connor is the best thing to happen to the McDonalds, Steve is lucky to have her and she is well fit. And repeat. You will believe it.

And purrleeeze did I espy the said Steve and Michelle dashing out of the lounge heading towards the stairs for what's known as The Corrie Run, Giggle and Shag before Liz magically appeared?
Connors Stronger in Corrie ¬_______¬

Corrie are sex-crazed and obsessed.

I don't think it's an SOR that Sean would have seen I Confess. I can imagine he would be into old films, and I Confess is a classic. And isn't Montgomery Clift a gay icon? (If that's the right term )

You think jason's ready to come out? But wouldn't that be incest? A topic Corrie has avoided despite one or two couples who are desperate to get at it.

Maybe Max is at the age when he becomes interested in inventors, especially in the field of electronics. It's been argued that it was the work of Hedy Lamar which makes wi-fi possible. She also managed to fit in making a few films.

Phelan spotting Todd was cringe-worthy, but not as bad as Phelan immediately realising he needed bogus receipts, and then being able to forge them.

And the show really needs to stop the pathetic false cliffhangers between double episodes.

We all knew Phelan wouldn't be busted, just like on Monday we knew Sarah wasn't going to confess about Callum.

The bank not taking notice of the death certificate is completely wrong, but in these days where you put your card in a machine yourself and enter a number without the assistant even looking at it, means anyone can use any card if they know the PIN. Don't think it's legal, but that doesn't seem to matter to many.

Did we see receipts? I don't remember, but if we did then we didn't see the detail and it wouldn't be difficult for him to just have a wad of receipts from the builders yard in his hand, confident that no-one would ask to see them in detail.

I wouldn't put it past him to create bogus receipts later on the computer they must have in this day and age. He's devious enough to have done that in the past to deceive.
