So we all know where the storyline's going next with Phelan. [Pat after dim Jason's recently left 80 grand and properties] Phelan's eyes were watering last night just thinking about it.

Will Jason be thick enough to fall for it?, will we be on the edge of our seats watching it all?, Yes to the first and No to the second.

didn't know that, thought she was just a 1930-1950s actress

How I mumbled and muttered last night about the awful miserable-faced sulky Michelle being heaped with praise by Steve. How wonderful, how funny, how hot, how staggeringly covered in make-up. (Oh, I don't think he mentioned the last one.) It made him look an idiot, while she rolled her eyes more than ever - can that woman not just turn her head?

I hate, hate, hate being told that a character is beautiful, wonderful, whatever. I'll be the judge of that, thank you.

I wonder what they will do with Michelle when Carla goes, because that takes away about half her role when she can't be Carla's friend anymore.

Steve to MissHell: 'If you realised how hot you are you wouldn't be with me'.

AS IF!

How old are the scriptwriters, for God's sake?

What an ungrateful, stroppy cow she is. He gives her his credit card to go and buy an outfit and tells her he's going to cook a romantic meal for her and she still finds cause to whinge.

While I'm on the subject of the 'romantice meal', why was such a massive fuss made of it and why were so many people included in the planning of it? He wasn't organising a surprise trip to Paris on a private jet, it was a bit of dinner in the back room of a back street boozer. Ridiculous.

Ts and Cs tell us to keep our PINs secret and not to allow anybody else to use the card - well, that's what my new Mastercard says

The biggest SOR in ages is the fact that somebody finds Michelle 'funny' she is as funny as toothache

It's something \i only found out recently. Quite a remarkable lady.

That would obviously apply if there was any fraudulent activity with the card. However in normal circumstances if you gave your PIN to someone you trusted, I cannot see a problem. My wife can use my card whenever she wants - I continually change the PIN

And of course Corrie went for that classic where Steve ended up burning the food. Just in case we the viewers didn't get he is supposed to be "incompetent" while Michelle is "perfect". Even though I don't recall her cooking in the past, but I guess she is great at that as well.

Michelle can do no wrong she is perfect and if she had gone through with shagging her ex school playground grope it would no doubt be Steve's fault.

The scene was exactly the same as last time Steve and Michelle had some making up to do. Steve had to do the making up because he was clearly in the wrong - like last time. He had to cook a romantic meal. Like last time. Then he had to mess it up. Like last time. Meanwhile Michelle had to be miserable. Like last time. She also had sit there and listen to lots of compliments. Like last time.

Steve - wrong, incompetent nitwit.

Michelle - right - funny and fit.

It's in Corrie's very narrow character descriptions which they adhere to - rigidly.

What is Steve's big crime anyway? That he was in Spain helping his brother whilst Michelle stayed in Weatherfield, carrying her wedding file and toying with infidelity? She had been out to see him quite recently too.

They keep telling us how fit, how funny, how altogether amazing Michelle is, and how lucky Steve is to have her in his life, while showing us something entirely different.

I've no problem with them showing how Steve's struggle with depression is impacting on his nearest and dearest. It's good to show that aspect of the illness.

It's the bloody pedestal they put Michelle on that annoys.

Remember Steve left her to run three businesses and it was all too much for her. I mean she was so run off her feet managing all of these businesses despite the fact that all we ever saw her do was hold mugs of tea, moan and drink wine with Carla.

Why does everyone dislike Michelle on here she's simply acting how she's been written!

I guess people don't like the way she's written then. And as she's a fictional character how she's written is pretty much what/who she is.

Of course those mugs of tea won't hold themselves! It's a job that has to be done.

That's what we dislike. We're not talking about the actress, we're talking about the character and how the character has been written.

Who is - Kym Marsh?

Kym Marsh is the actress. Michelle Connor is the character. It's the character who is getting criticised.

That's what Corrie does. They also do it with Eileen because we are meant to like her. Then there's Fiz. Sophie Webster. Anna Windass.

Anna Windass. Whatever happened to the romance of the century with her and Kevin Webster?

Got together.
Big announcement.
Big Phelan issue.
Big Phelan issue resolved.
Not seen together since.

Kev's always out with Sophie.

Well, now that they haven't got the 'Phelan taunts Anna, Anna loses her temper, Anna can't tell Kev why' scene to repeat over and over, Blackburn has no more use for them.

So Anna's in the café smiling stupidly and trying to patronise the Down's bloke.

Thanks. It's insulting. Thanks goodness Fiz hasn't had any scenes with him!
