As for why Johnny not knowing the password the excuse was that Carla had recently changed it before she left without telling anyone the new password.”

I'd completely forgotten that Johnny knew about the stolen money..

I'd still have thought that everyone who had access to the accounts would have different passwords, known only to themselves. Or a swipe card system

There's an argument (and there may even have been a court case) that once the police realise there's no actual reason to hold someone, they have to release them. To hold them past that point would be unlawful imprisonment. I'm fairly sure they can't just hold someone "in case something comes up".

i noticed that too, wonder why the had to film it like that, unless the sun went behind thick cloud at that point.

some years back we saw somebody cross the road in sunlight to reach the other side and talk to somebody in the rain

I am not sure that yesterday's episodes were depicting events on Bank Holiday Monday. Thursday's episode was the day after the wedding, ie Monday 23rd May. Yesterday's eps appeared to be taking place the day after that.

Corrie has lost all sense of chronology after last week.

Still not as bad as EE who had 2 weeks of episodes depicting one day at New Year.

I thought he was killed on the carpet in the living room? So there will be traces of blood there.”

His legs were over the carpet but pool of blood was on the lino, and then they dragged him to the door leaving a forensic trail.

The 2 flats would be at least 250k each but they only had carla's up for sale, I guess 100k would give them a good deposit.

Cue tomorrow night's episode when she wakes up with a hangover on the sofa, proclaiming that she will never drink again. And now we will be looking forward to "exciting" plot developments where she starts whining and moaning how guilty she is for kissing Aidan and that she really loves Ches. Yaaaaaawn. Does anyone really care about their dull relationship? Can't believe they are centering episodes around it.

You can understand why Chesney would rather spend time with Gemma then with Sinead.

I am warming up to the character, especially some of the stuff she comes out with like saying Callum got her a guinea pig. Hopefully she remains beyond this storyline somehow.

The resurrection (pardon the pun) of the Callum storyline will no doubt undo all the improvement in the character over the last few months.

I think David with his sociopathic demeanour would be setting off all sorts of alarm bells with the detectives ie. smirking and treating the whole thing as a joke - in other words, exactly the type of person who could kill someone and bury him under his floor.

I agree, I would actually like to see Gemma and Chesney as a couple, they are much more natural together than him and snotty Sinead.

Thought it was 24 hours in Police Custody - as in the TV programme - not 96.

Norris made an interesting observation last night saying that Tyrone in the tow truck wouldn't have been going that fast as to do so much damage to the Platt's as he had just taken a corner and was driving over cobbles so wouldn't have gained enough speed, so was that a character in corrie pointing out a SOR or what?

Don't be so sarcastic, she has a couple of excelllent assets, we just don't see enough of them.

But I thought Carla went on to devon to carry on without him? So even less money? And the Bistro was Nicks.

It looks like craig's stupid girlfriend did the Platts a favour then.

Why do families on Corrie always go round in packs? The Connors go round in a pack. Last night the Platts were in a pack and the Grimshaws all came round the corner in a pack. Is that realistic?

And does anyone really give a sh!te about Norris and his roof tiles?

But Norris was right about Ty wouldn't have been going that fast in the tow truck to cause all that damage.

She's gone. Let's just be thankful for that!

I expect Alison King is also relieved that it is over. I hope that she is having a lovely, relaxing time de-Carla-ising.

He was.

And how did Ty manage to get the angle of his swerve just right so that the tow truck fitted into the garage perfectly?

Didn't Phil and Sharon's wedding day also last for ages?

EE are still much better at planning though and seem to put a lot more effort into every aspect of the soap. Corrie might have five eps per week compared to EE's four but how much difference in air time is it? Corrie only runs for something like 22 minutes per ep because of ad breaks. EE don't have ad breaks.

Corrie - 5 eps x 22 minutes = 110 mins

EE - 4 eps x 28 minutes = 112 minutes

That's just a guess at running times. Anyone know the actual times?
