They are spoiling the character of Amy by trying to make her exactly like her mother, Corrie really doesn't need a mini-Tracy, they need to get rid of the one they already have instead.
Agree with you completely on this one. Tracy has served her time and is now just another predictable character. She would never be able to redeem herself and her nastiness has just got boring and repetitive. I really wish they would just write her out.

Enjoying catching up with the posts after a few days away, thanks to all. Almost dreading actually catching up with the programme which I have recorded but as I'm obviously a masochist I will still sit through the episodes alternately yelling, yawning and groaning through to the bitter end.

I'm not syre why Leanne and Nick are getting so arsey about Robert buying the bistro through 'blackmail' and that he should let Nick buy it back.

As far as I remember the blackmail didn't involve Robert getting it for a knock down price or ripping anyone off did it? Just Carla influencing the decision and bunging Tracy some of her own money so they could up their bid?

So in fact Nick got the asking price for his business and did pretty well out of it. The fact his plans to move away have now changed, well that's just tough titties surely?

Could be that Tracy blackmailed Carla into giving her £10,000, and blackmail is a crime. She passed the £10,000 to Robert so he could afford to buy the Bistro, so he benefitted from the proceeds of crime, which is unlawful.

but the ten grand is Carla's problem not Nick's. Nick actually did pretty well with two parties scrapping over buying his Bistro for the asking price, then Robert offering an extra ten grand on top.

I noticed Steve and Tim left the cab office together and left it unattended

Leanne is just arsey because Robert got the Bistro and not her. She probably hopes that if Nick gets the business back she will get a slice of the action.

'I knew I shouldn't have left him with a face like that' says Saskia of Michelle.

Even someone who hates her guts has to marvel at her beauty.

Will is so unlucky not to have her

Tim and Steve were quite good tonight.

Michelle's acting was dire and completely OTT when she was confronted by Will and Saskia. The Michelle and Steve thing is a bit tongue in cheek. Michelle thinks she's the injured party?!

Michelle's got a new BBF, Maria. So far, they are so much better together than the two witches partnership of Carla and Michelle.

How on earth did Todd expect anyone to believe that Tony killed Callum? Too late, mate.

Michelle isn't beautiful. She's attractive but not beautiful. Sitting next to Maria shows that. Maria is much better looking than Michelle and she has a nicer figure and better legs. Yet, no-one ever compliments Maria.

Steve's reaction to finding out about Michelle's near infidelity was ridiculous. Why was it being played for laughs? Steve sitting in his armchair looking no more than a bit fed up, and having to be held back by Tim as he bounced up and down like a cartoon character, his tone of voice exasperated not devastated or bewildered and cheerily downing drinks in Tim's micropub. Does anyone really react like that, rather than with anger, despair, shock or heartbreak?
Especially as this is Michelle we're talking about!

And where the hell was Sally supposed to be? She wouldn't approve of that going on in her kitchen

Why would Johnny be obliged to sack Izzy if she is charged with assaulting a Police Officer? Surely the court hands down her sentence, not her employer?

Why is Sophie acting like she has a right to access Sally and Tim's house? Tim is married to Sally and lives there, IIRC Sophie still lives with Kevin (?) so surely what Tim does there is up to him and he doesn't have to explain himself?

Why did Sean say "Now then Miss Leanne" when her and Robert were exchanging barely heated words? He acted like he was about to throw them out, yet they were effectively just talking!

Why did Michelle say something to Steve about Will attacking Tim when (as far as myself and my Other Half thought) Steve had not mentioned it?

Is the Norris/Phelan/posh-bloke-who-is-not-a-posh-bloke story done? Did Norris get his roof back? Must have missed this?

When Steve got back he did tell Michelle that Will had been in a fight with Tim but Michelle didn't comment on it till after a few more sentences of conversation

Sally appears to be in London as we heard Sophie coming off the phone to her (at least I think it was Sally on the other end) and Sophie signed off with "Give my love to Rosie" or words to that effect

In what circumstances could you sack someone just because they've been accused of a crime? I suppose if they were remanded in custody then they'd be in breach of contract, since they couldn't do their job.

Tim's 'special' brew.

Couldn't believe how hammy the acting was tonight, especially when Michelle's 'secret' got out. Ol' bulgy eyes returned. Guy who plays Will was no better, very OTT and camp. I'd have thought he was after Sean.

How could tim be drinking the brew yet, or was he hiding it somewhere so sally wouldn't see it for weeks, there's fast brews that take 6 days, when did she leave?

I hate how they had Amy mimic Steve's depression just because he was affected by it and everything with Steve must be reduced to a joke.

Will had always been crap and Michelle always goes into a ranting OTT meltdown, then snarls and goes to attack but is always stopped by someone. She's gone to attack someone quite a few times and she was giving it out at 14. Thought Corrie reckoned Carla was the skank.

Meanwhile at the Grimshaws......

It's just laughable. Eileen with her two 30 something sons having breakfast. Then Billy who like Sean must be 40+ comes into the room and we know Sean and Phelan also live there. It a bloody joke having all those men living there with her. But it's probably written in the Corrie family description manual that witty Eileen with her marvellous put-downs and quips mut live in a house full of men and berate them regularly. It would be inspirational if Eileen was amusing and her men were not all over 30.

It's like the Dobbs-Brown family. Fiz and Ty are the leads and all the dullards, dimwits and oddball members of the family live next door because the Corrie manual says so.

But did you notice the mistake they made, when Phelan met with the bloke after, the bloke gave Phelan some money and Phelan mentioned that he had sold the original tiles back to Norris, so where did the money the bloke gave Phelan come from since the bloke had not actually sold the tiles?
Noticed this also , i even watched a few episodes before it, and nope no explanation for the donkey choker being handed to popeye phelan

How on earth did Michelle come to the conclusion that she is the victim? I suppose next we will see Steve having to move out of the Rovers because he dared to doubt the wonderful Michelle and he is supposed to feel lucky to have her instead of doubting her fidelity.
