This was bugging me last night!!

Is Amy still blackmailing her? Does the guy know Liz is lying?? All ended abruptly but think that was because of the actress' decision to take a break.

Ah well..........won't be long before Liz's next 'love interest/victim of the week'. Open that bar flap!

Corrie could have mentioned him and said it was over or the SL could just have picked up from where it left off!

That's obvious ... so she could come across Sophie sitting on the Seat of Misery.
Oh. Durr. Silly me. Sophie Webster. The predatory lesbian. She would have to be lying in wait somewhere like a bl@@dy big preying mantis. And when Sophie and Kate went across to the pub - guess who was round the corner?

I thought it looked different last night. It's looked a mess since the makeover, but last night it was a differently coloured mess!
Must take a look at that. Whatever style the makeover is meant to be; it has always looked like off-the-shelf plasticated stuff that is just stuck to the walls. Anyone know what the style or theme is meant to be? Is it a sea theme/style?

(Shudders at the thought of the prospective answers!!) And we can dispense with shabby sh1t. That's soooo obvious!

Last night was a bit of an improvement on the guff Corrie usually trot out. Audrey and Yasmeen had a scene and were good; simple but effective and Sally and Maria were good too. These were characters having scenes with people who they don't normally interact with. It showed up all those repetitive and embarrassing comedy scenes with Sally and Yasmeen.

BTW How is Yasmeen's orangery coming along?

Also in some very recent eps it looked like that some of the the camera angles were different.

I am having an orangery fitted and the intallation people have said it should take 2 weeks tops with all the extra wiring bits and everything.

Even with the windows getting nicked and Jason b*ggering off in the middle of it all it should be finished by now. Surely instead of wondering who has poked Leanne we can see the grand opening ceremony instead? Watch as Yasmeen sits in it, drinking a brew whilst Sally sits in her conservatory, seething!!

I don't know about anyone else but David chasing down Clayton reminded me of that advert last year which depicted Callum chasing down David, Sarah and Kylie. I almost expected David to come to the edge of the street depicting a sudden drop, as he was unable to go past the end of the street to look for Clayton.

Two stories in the papers today,
Spoiler
. Does anybody know if they are related?

(Spoiler wrap in case people haven't read the stories, and don't want to know!).

Perhaps Corrie should be renamed "Under the Dome".

BIB: I liked those scenes, particularly Audrey and Yasmeen. Understated for once, and all the more effective for it. A lot was shown us without it having to be told us, which is unusual for Corrie.

They actually interacted before. Can't remember exactly what happened, but they were round at the Platts and invited them round to their home for Sunday lunch. And Gail replied with something along the lines of "I like a good curry".

Just watching Monday's...

Bearing in mind how tardy the police were at attending, they were super efficient at getting the crime scene dealt with

From painful experience as a previous PCSO who had to stave there on them, a scene like that would be on for days while CID and CSI did what they needed to

Away from the Kylie stuff, why was Sally being such a bitch to Jenny when she wanted the machinist job? I thought they'd buried the hatchet after Jenny saved Jack in Blackpool? I get they're not best buddies and all but what skin would it be off Sally's nose if Jenny got a different job?

Indeed! Why was she a bitch to Jenny anyway? Is Sally even close to Jack?

What's happened to Faye Windass? Miley must be one-year-old by now and no-one has even mentioned the child.

I am surprised Jenny needs training to be a machinist. Other characters seem to gain skills instantly. For example you can be washing cars at the garage, and within two weeks become a fully qualified car mechanic. Or characters like Sophie and Michelle are shop staff and bar staff respectively, but suddenly become highly intelligent businesswomen carrying around a clipboard and acting successful.

Of course the only reason they are making Jenny is struggle is so we get the ever so delightful machinists looking smug, especially Sally.

Miles was packed off to Canada with her dad's family, never to be mentioned again.

I think Jason was only there for a few days before going to Thaland, but if not it would a lovely reunion for the lads - all cooped up together just like being at Eileens

I did wonder if Violet was going to return - she's been mentioned such a lot lately.

Off topic, i was up late last night due to the heat, ended up watching an old Catherine Tate show and was surprised to see " Jenny Bradley" as one of the gingers for justice

Until 13 or so years down the line when she suddenly turns up as a stroppy teenager looking for an older Faye (depending of course if she is still in it by then).

Sally being bitchy didn't peeve me as much as Beth was.

Miles was packed off to Canada with her dad's family, never to be mentioned again.
She'll return as a tearway 14-year-old, and stumble into the Rovers where Anna will 'recognise' her.

Great first episode tonight but my enjoyment was spoiled by Clayton hanging around the street.

So you murder someone and go on the run, but choose to hang around the site of the murder in broad daylight?

Seriously?
I think that it sometimes does happen. There was a schoolgirl killed on the bus in Birmingham a few years ago. Christina Edkins I think she was called. She was stabbed by somebody with mental health issues on the bus which then stopped on the Hagley Road in Birmingham by Five Ways.

Her killer was found about 5 hours later a mere 50 yards away behind the Morrisons that is nearby.
