And worst of all Tracy's actions which were bad enough in itself eventually lead to the death of 2 people and yet she isn't in prison, isn't under investigation and the characters on the street don't treat her any differently than normal. There's probably more examples but I've probably thought more in depth about this show than the people who are paid to do it have done today (well yesterday now).

The aftermath of the Victoria Court fire is the sloppiest mess ever. They clearly never thought up an aftermath or anything long-term, just concerned with making some big major event for the BGT Live week. Tracy still talks crap to characters who were directly affected by the fire (like Carla who was trapped and Leanne who lost Kal) yet they never bring up that she was the cause of it. And I don't buy either the residents may not believe she did it, you telling me they haven't questioned it at all? You'd think a fire resulting in the deaths of 2 people would be serious, but apparently not.

Plus Tracy has learned nothing from it. She caused this by some stupid attempt at "revenge". Carla's talk to her how one day Tracy will be a lonely person and Amy may turn out like her has obviously fallen on deaf ears. Tracy still wanders around, acting almost stunned when people don't like her. So how does she try and resolve this? By constantly deceiving.

Again, so much for her transformation. Looking back on the report that she would turn over a new leaf, I just had to laugh.

Fabulous rant.

In terms of consequences for actions taken and the amount of criminality that goes un-punished or forgiven, well the rule of thumb on CS seems quite clear to me. Criminals go free, no matter what they commit. Innocent people go to jail for having done absolutely nothing!

Can't remember if I posted on here or on the Tracy's flower shop thread - think it was on the flower shop one.

She was shown talking to Ken who said she needed to decide on a date to close down Barlow's Buys and open the flower shop a few/several weeks ago. As she already has the premises, and she's had time to prepare a business plan and get a bank loan, which she'd be likely to get as a qualified florist.

She was then shown clearing the stock from Barlow's Buys - could have sent it all to auction or a car boot sale.

The only characters in tonight's episode that I actually like are Tim, Ruby and Roy. And even with Roy he's been overused a lot over the past 2 years so I'd be thankful for him leaving if it wasn't for him being better than the other unlikable characters on the show.

The lack of consequences on this show is evident yet again. What's the consequences of Steph's pictures being posted on Facebook? The occasional text from someone who she's probably never met. If corrie wanted to do this storyline right then they should have given it to Bethany (but made it separate to the Callum crap). Shown her having actual friends (although to be fair, who'd want to be friends with her?) and give her a boyfriend, make them break up and have him get the revenge. Then she'd have to deal with everyone in school having seen the pictures, her friends may lose respect for her

and it would give her a better excuse to be bullied than whatever crap the writers come up for her to be bullied soon.

It could have gone off in any direction for her character including self harming or struggling with her loneliness or at the very least, highlighting that this sort of thing has an actually effect on people instead of being almost forgotten about after a weekend away with her boyfriend like what has happened when the storyline has been given to Steph. This type of thing would have a much larger effect on someone who's still in school instead of someone who's more mature and will barely see anyone who has actually seen these pictures.

But of course then it would be much harder to turn the storyline into a stunt to force more misery upon Carla.

Fair enough on the first one. But Tracy is guilty of breaking and entering for starters. Her negligence caused a fire that killed 2 people so she could be charged with many more offences involving that if they could find the evidence of this. I wouldn't be too outraged if she received a pre-meditated murder charge for this considering that she entered that flat intending to kill Carla anyway and would have done if no one else was there.

I know Tracy didn't start the fire on purpose, but it is ridiculous how it has been swept under the carpet since it came out Carla wasn't responsible. Carla was actually treated like a killer for apparently being careless and leaving the candle lit, yet since Tracy had been exposed nothing else has been said (apart from Yasmeen calling Tracy murderer for 5 minutes before dropping it).

It is annoying how her schemes are always forgotten. When she was sniping at Leanne recently, you'd think Leanne would have brought up how Tracy was responsible for the fire. But as usual nothing. Tracy's attitude after the fire never changed either, she went into that flat planning to kill Carla because she thought she had been deceived (even though Carla knew nothing of Tracy wanting to obtain the pub) and as a result of her carelessness a fire happened which nearly resulted in the death of her daughter. But as usual the writers are having same old Tracy, sneering, making remarks, being a bitch, scheming, rinse repeat.

How can Zeedan be working as a chef at the Bistro? Even a junior or apprentice chef would first have to train at a culinary school and have a professional qualification before they would be allowed anywhere near a kitchen. It's not the same as starting work at your local supermarket or corner shop.

But this is Corrie, where no-one does anything in the way that they happen in real life. It's "Corrieworld" a self-sufficient bubble surrounded by, but not sticking to the rules of, real life. They're aliens really - they eat, drink and reproduce like humans, but they don't expel waste or do anything else in the way that humans do.

They can even go away for a while and come back as someone completely different.

Not just in "Corrieworld" it happens in "Soapland" in general.

And, of course, not only do they go away and come back as someone completely different, but everyone recognises them as who they were before they went away.

Also the same real person can be several different people in the same soap (as well as someone else in a different soap) and yet no-one even suggests they've seen them before.

Definitely aliens - or maybe just actors, playing out the unresearched fantasies of writers.

Good point. Once everyone knew it was Tracy, no one bothered too much.

Another stupid thing was that Carla was looking after Amy and had to be rescued from the fire. Yet Liz McDonald didn't say a thing to Carla. That is a SOR. Liz went berserk over Tony and Tracy. Her granddaughter has to be saved from a burning building and she didn't say anything to Carla? When she got back from Honeymoon, Michelle didn't say anything either.

Can't Corrie have its feisty woman fighting and arguing? Back in the day, they would have had a real ding-dong about it.
