Its a fundamental part of the religion. I think it was good that they showed it.”

Many are selective about how they practice it then. Certainly not the groups of young men who hang around in Bolton shopping centre trying to get off with English girls and who are apparently quite intimidating.

Its an important part of Christianity too but most ignore it.

Jenny told dad Connor that Carla's flat was available for rent and he should see Nick about it. Nick put him in touch with the letting agent. He's renting it, not buying it. Presumably Carla's hanging on to it for the time being in case she decides too come back.

I find it hard to keep track of who's living where in the various flats. And it's odd that characters who could easily afford to rent or buy, like Aiden, live in other people's houses.

Thought the same. Couldn't Sean move in there?

I suppose there's more than balanced showers to be concerned about.

Thanks for the clarification.

So as it is family, nobody is waiting for the formalities to be settled.

Hate to be a pedant but he was actually called Diggory (see #11 here)

There's a character they should bring back!

auto connect has a lot to answer for

also the flat above the community centre seems to have been forgotten to, unless it's an unused part of the community centre

Of course but my point was a religious one and I could easily have used other words in that post which might have implied it was a racial rather than religious point.

But the leering is a fact, witnessed by myself on many occasions. If might not be easy for you to to your location but it can be seen any Saturday afternoon by anyone who cares to go to Bolton. I am not generalising but being very specific about that. location.

It is equally unpleasant to see any groups of young men doing the same and making young women feel uncomfortable, possibly even feeling threatened by it - builders wolf- whistling is a frequently quoted example - but builders generally do not considered to have strong religious views .

Which takes me back to my original point in this SOR Forum that it is a probable SOR that modern young men (of any type or origin) would refuse several offers from a good looking young woman because of their religious beliefs whilst at the same time ignoring nearly every other aspect of their claimed religion.

The real problem is that the CS staff do not really know or care what Muslims practice or not. and make stuff up to suit silly story lines.

And that couldn't care less attitude means that this forum must have pointed out 1000s of SORs in a relatively short time.

you make some very good points about certain types of men

I saw a report from India where they filmed men on the street and they basically leered at every female who went past irrespective of what she was wearing

but that aside, the writers do pick and choose which bits suit the storyline, I'm surprised that Rana as a Muslim woman is so flirty when Alia was mortified she'd had sex when drunk

I LOVED Diggory (Did you know he's Scottish in real life?) And Molly, for that matter (sob)

I was a little confused by the wording. Your explanation of unacceptable behavior makes it clear. Thanks.

My pleasure. I shouldn't really have brought it into this thread but it was factual and a reality of life in one town a few miles away from where CS is based.

I think testosterone is the same colour everywhere. Been there done it and got the t shirt.

But a long time ago
