Why did everyone act like Leanne was moving to the moon when she was going half an hour up the road. The whole thing was ridiculous
I'm finding all this Nick and Leanne nonsense hard to take - it's only 2 minutes ago that he married the 'love of his life' Carla. Now, she's forgotten and it's as though she never existed.

Corrie is so behind the times....it's a SOR that with that pathetic soppy display going on in the bus that none of the other passengers had their phones out recording it. All we got was a quick shot of two disgruntled but mute female passengers
And I agree the massive deal made over Leanne moving to Liverpool was embarrassing in the first place, but then all the residents live in the tiny Weatherfield bubble so anyone who does dare to move out of it may as well be moving to the moon

And, how many people would actually go from Weatherfield/Salford/Manchester to Liverpool by taking a taxi and then a bus? There's a tram line at the end of the Coronation Street which would surely connect with direct trains at Manchester Deansgate or Piccadilly.

Also Eva had a new hairstyle in this early scene, which then switched back to her previous one in the factory scene with Aidan, and then back to the new one when she had her scene outside the Bistro with Nick!
Just watched Sharif and Yasmeen's surprise anniversary party again - the only people there were the neighbours. Surely they have friends from off the cobbles, and family members Zee and Alya could have invited. Can't believe Zeedan and co thought it was worth disrupting Yasmeen's planned art gallery trip for such a rubbish do.
Sharif having an affair with a family friend that now has to move in with them not contrived much then.

Leanne even said it was only 30 miles away! Could she not just buy a car and commute so Simon could stay in his school! Or wait for it...ask Ken or Steve to drive them there like anyone would do for a friend or relative. But then the Stop That Bus I Love You scene couldn't happen.

A name above Amy was disappearing off the top of the screen when the shot of him started, which could have been mum. But on my mobile contact are in alphabetical order so mum would be just above Nick.

I don't see anything odd about that. She's in an enclosed garden, and she was colouring quite happily. They could see her through the window.

Perhaps as they were moving house, they had plenty of luggage to carry - not really suitable for trams/trains due to lack of luggage space. Buses generally have big racks (like Eva
) and taxis have a boot.

Quite clearly the outside scenes hairdresser didn't consult the inside scenes hairdresser! Or it was just a cock up?! She also seemed to have loads more make-up on in some scenes.
Aidan was very desperate last night when he was hoping that Leanne would come back. Leanne could move in with Nick. He's slept with Maria and is set against moving in with Eva. Where's this relationship supposed to be heading?
And Michelle and Steve are actually having scenes together where we see them happy.
It still doesn't work though does it? Some actors in Corrie don't connect with the other actors. They just speak their lines like they're in an empty room. Michelle does it and so does Beth. It's a blah, blah, blah, me,me, me, aren't I fab, smug, smug, smug, boast, boast, boast kind of thing while looking at no one and seeming to address in particular. A soliloquy. Carla Connor was the tragic version. She always looked into the distance rather than making any emotional connection with others.
David got for Lily & Maxy, whilst passing the garden centre, seemed to be quite a substantial construction, yet he was able to carry it single handedly through the house, in a box.

The whole Leanne moving was a cliche. Who thought she'd really go? When Nick was running to catch the coach, I had this feeling of deva vu. Has it been done before?

It's quite strange that we have two relationships (in the most general sense!) between people who apparently despise someone they had sex with recently. Maria is scornful about Aidan who seems to be cringing about almost everything at the moment. And Leanne seems to think Steve is an idiot which is probably true but in that case why hop into bed with him?
Talking of Steve and idiots, how embarrassing was he at the doctor's. Why was he there anyway? Michelle's beaming and rolling her eyes madly, having got her own way, and Steve's fawning round her foolishly. Uncomfortable viewing.

He does drive - we've seen him and had discussions here about his magically disappearing epilepsy. But he must drive one of those mysteriously materialising cars which are invisible most of the time until they are needed for an errand of some sort.
