how did faye know that kirk would know the prison Craig's dad was in and know exactly how he was going to give the answer, what happens in strangeways stays in strangeways, why would he say that if he has no connection with the place

At one time Corrie would mention the Manchester football clubs at various times and display fixture lists in the pub alternately but now the only football team mentioned is Weatherfield County. No Sky TV either in the pub?
Anyway for anyone who might have missed it: Manchester United 1 The Only Football Team to Come from Manchester 2. All is well with the world

I've been trying to find a new hairdresser at the moment and have my hair cut 6 every weeks - unless you are a chain or a big hairdressers in the city centre they all still have books from my experience..
In a factory workers would protect their clothes, as sewing rubs up other fabric, and clothes would be spoiled. Didn't they use to wear tabards over their clothes some years back? |

I think the book is authentic, but what definitely isn't is what they wear, unsuitable outfits and ridiculously unsuitable shoes. The hairdressers I've been to wear dark clothes - usually a t-shirt or similar often over leggings, and the most comfortable flat shoes they can find since they spend most of the day on their feet.

Just like the factory workers don't wear overalls so we can see what fancy dress costume Beth has on and so Eva can wear a frock entirely out of place for work.
![]() cafe is the same, no gloves or hair nets when making the food, the bistro is worse, everybody goes in the kitchen, even simon in his footie kit |

The factory looks incredibly cramped to me too, about the size of a school classroom. In real life, the factory floor would be much larger with bigger gaps between the machines and machinists....it wouldn't be practical to have everyone on top of each other like that (we all know though that the whole raison d'etre of the factory is so that the cast can all converse with each other).
Fast forward a decade and the whole sewing room has been shoved into a tiny space. |

So over a year since the new Connors graced our screens, did Aidan ever pay Johnny back the money he stole from him?
Nothing major perhaps, but things do seem dropped and never mentioned again. Is Tyrone still in debt, or is doing a few shifts for Street Cars solved all his problems? |

What's going on with the Nazir affair storyline? It's been ages since the shock initial reveal and we haven't seen them since. Did I miss something? Is the other woman still staying with them?

When the Connors took over the factory there was a sudden and mysterious overnight expansion and for the first time it actually looked big enough to be a functioning factory. Watch these scenes from 2007 and you'll be shocked at the scale of the operation.

That's probably why they don't wear overalls any more. We'd wouldn't be able to see Eva's knockers, Sally's silly suits of whatever comedy outfit Beth had on. Wouldn't staff with long hair like Sinéad and Eva need to have it tied back?
Vera, Ivy and Ida also used to wear them. Hilda was fond of an overall. With a mop, a fag, rollers and headscarf it looked very fetching! ![]() |

Nothing major perhaps, but things do seem dropped and never mentioned again. Is Tyrone still in debt, or is doing a few shifts for Street Cars solved all his problems? What has never been mentioned, or even noticed, by anybody is the £10,000 which carla stole from the factory. Don't they have auditors, and accountants? Or annual accounts? Even the amount was a huge mistake - it would stand out to anyone glancing down the bank statement (unless they had than much in petty cash, of course); much better to make it an odd amount around that figure. |

They'd wear some kind of covering because, not only would fibres from whatever they're sewing get on their clothes, but fibres from their clothes (especially anything knitted or fluffy) would get on what they're sewing.

Not a SOR but I didn't really want to start a thread. Has anyone read about Alison King's new career move?! ![]() Quote:

Fellow former Corrie star Ryan Thomas, 32, has revealed he is taking acting lessons in a bid to find work after quitting his 16-year stint as Jason Grimshaw.
So far the only worked he has picked up are personal appearances in nightclubs and adverts. Ryan said: “I’ve only ever had one job. I need to start from the bottom and start learning my craft.” |
