Thank you, missed that. Although they must have just come up with the idea and surely if they were growing flowers at school they would have mentioned it to Dev or Mary months ago

. As this is the end of September, would all those flowers still be blooming and in such good condition?

Dev is so blind to everything except his own inflated image of himself, it's no wonder he just accepts whatever the twins say.
Hang on, wasn't that boy twin supposed to be some sort of golf prodigy a while back?? That storyline fell of the To Do list as well.

Kirk was in Roys Rolls buying a cheese sandwich for his tea and a meatloaf for Ozzie.
I thought both Kirk and Maria used to run dog kennels.
So they would know all about dogs, and that in order to keep dogs healthy you feed them a consistent diet of dog food, not foodwaste or scraps or meatloaf from the local Caff.

He didn't order coffee, he asked for strong tea. £2 for a cardboard cup of tea? Watch out Starbucks, Roy's Rolls is after your business!

BTW did Cathy put the money in the till? Does she ever?

Apologies, it was birthdaygirl who mentioned coffee, not you in your reply.

BTW I rather like Wrexham, interesting town.

What's odd is that the twins have a nanny and that they all live together in a terraced house.

Dev might need some help with the home/cooking etc. but those kids are far too old for a nanny and far too old to want to be bothered with a nanny or even each other. At their age they'd be off with their mates. Instead, they're Enid Blyton type kids with more than a touch of The Midwich Cuckoos.

It's utterly moronic that such a situation exists.

Talking about them having to be taken to school is silly, as was mentioned above. They do this from time to time with Amy as if she couldn't get there herself. And they should be helping in the house, not being waited on by Mary or Erica.

A definite touch of Midwich Cuckoos last night when Asha gave a most sinister look at Erica.

Dev made a massive deal of the golf and it got quite a lot of airtime, then - vanished, never to be heard of again.

I think Dev had the loft converted into bedrooms for the twins. It used to be curley's observatory up there so would be an easy conversion.

the twins are portrayed as an odd pair of kids though

It was already stupid timing anyway. Who sets off on a drive from Manchester to Inverness in the afternoon...

It was all part of his money troubles when he had to sell the other shops, as the golf club membership costs were extortionate. It's probably not something he wants to revisit, although given that Aadi apparently had quite a talent, it does seem a little strange. He also had run-ins with Sunita over the way he was favouring Aadi (due to his talent) and spending time and money on him and not paying enough attention to Asha.

They also get help with their homework from Mary. Lots of children get help from their parents but Mary seems to be able to do everything. Does she also tuck them in and read them a bedtime story?

Midwich Cuckoos/Good twin/bad twin and mad Mary all under one roof.

Asha is clearly the cuckoo/bad twin. Last night, Aadi ran to his dad like a big baby. At his age. As if.

In the case of her mother dying, Norris apparently went to the funeral. So if Mary is fantasising/lying/hallucinating, Norris shares her delusions.

Didnt Roy say he would drive becuse he wanted time apart from Cathy? (forever,I hope!)

If it was pancreatic cancer, I know that can be felt immediately.
Crikey! Caz was a bit blunt telling Maria, wasnt she? I'd have thought it more likely that her brother would tell her.

As would we all!

I think he said that but Tyrone seemed to be the driver.

Why do Corrie kids all have to be such precocious unlikeable brats? The Alahan kids are hellish, as are Amy and Simon Barlow

Tyrone offered to help with the driving when they were getting ready to set off, Roy said it would be OK, but Tyrone insisted on helping.

Alex was originally booked onto the train, but after Cathy's attitude, and the fact Roy wanted some space from her, he decided to use that as a good excuse to drive Alex himself, to have time apart from Cathy, and to spend some time with Alex, showing him places along the way (was all explained in the episode).

Only Max seems to be moderately likeable. Give it two years though and he'll be David Platt II.

All soap kids are just a pointless distraction, ruining the parents character in the process.

There's been some attention on Dev and golf over the years, such as the rivalry between him and Steve, and I think it's still mentioned from time to time. It's just strange (or one of the usual SORs) that Aadi's amazing precocious talent at golf which was massively and boringly important to Dev has just been forgotten.

Now I may be wrong and apologies if I am but didn't Kirk carry Ozzy into the room so Maria could say goodbye? Wouldn't it have been kinder for Maria to have gone to the vets instead, rather than lug a very sick dog up stairs and possibly walked home and then back to the vets again,

Particularly as a few days ago Kirk was telling Maria she needs to feed Ozzie on better food.

I thought that was very odd as well.
