Suddenly fancying someone you've known for many years is much harder to believe : there's a good reason you didn't fancy them for all that time, which makes the Anna - Kevin and Audrey - Ken thing rather ridiculous.
I suppose we should be grateful the "Random Relationship Generator" that the scriptwriters use didn't pair Kevin with Audrey and Ken with Anna. Or even.........

I could actually see them try something bonkers like Anna with Ken

Crikey, Carla must be in a serious state. Michelle hasn't got her usual thick eyeliner and flicks. Good old Corrie and their good old cliches. Serious SL = less make-up.

And Michelle brought half of Weatherfield with her. AKA the Connors who always move in a pack. Would the hospital really allow such a crowd in a patient's room?

Do people really have such inane conversations like Steph and Andy? Kill Bill? Samurai swords?

Person needs a job. Person gets a job. All in 20 seconds or less.

I swear we have an old person can't deal with technology every other episode but it gets no funnier.

Steph and Andy's chit-chat is like Mastermind compared to what passes for conversation in our house sometimes.

Another standard Corrie scene:

Characters having discussion in Rovers booth and everyone else including the bar person is crowded at the bar listening, gawping and passing judgement. It's what passes for cabaret night at the Rovers as opposed to cabaret night at the bistro.

Sally has the best team for her campaign - Ken 'the oracle' Barlow and expert in everything and Sophie super-dooper, big shot businesswoman and technology expert. Who would've thought that Sophie was such an expert in technology? Mind you, she did manage to nick £20,000 online from her dad's bank account pretty sharpish.

How come Kevin told Anna that Phelan has been brushing up at the building site for his new garage for weeks? This time last week they hadn't even started and Jason was still trying to get the job.

Has Tracy's phone always been pink or has suddenly become pink to fit the SL?

so that's £107 return train fare and £122.50 in car parking fees?

I thought he was going to see Carla in the hospital then bring the car back and then get a taxi to Piccadilly Train Station ??

Sadly the most exciting thing about tonight's episodes was 'Will Roy Miss His Train?'

Don't forget Sophie's expert clipboard handling skills which will no doubt come in handy while Sally's on the campaign trail.

Ah that's the collective noun for a group of Connors then! Thank you

How many times has this happened on Corrie recently? It's ridiculous!

If only close relatives were allowed to see Carla, what were that lot doing there?

A fiance,
An ex-sister in law,
Two second (or maybe third) cousins,
An ex- uncle in law (possibly once removed) who claims to be her father.

I wouldn't class any of them as close relatives.

None of the new Connors ever appeared at any of Carla's weddings. What the hell are they sitting around that flamin' waiting room for. Who's running the factory while this ludicrous hospital scene is going on? The factory that needs 3 managers can hardly suddenly run itself all of a sudden.

"She's stubborn and she's a fighter" Not even a minute into the episode and Michelle rolls out cliche hospital lines.

Nice to see that the corner sweet shop is doing so well that they don't even need any staff to be present to keep afloat. And hahahahahahahahahaha an old person is struggling to work out technology because that never gets old.

Kevin met Phelan on Monday, how would he know that he was brushing floors for weeks before then?

The bistro had a power cut which surely would have ruined most of the food in the fridge and freezer. So pushing back deliveries until Monday is pretty stupid when you're opening tomorrow.

What was wrong with Carla's neck? One half was normal and the other half had about 100 wrinkles in them. And with the way Carla was turning surely the other half would be the wrinkly half if anything.

How cliched can you possibly get? What the hell does that mean??? Why not just have it Americanised to 'real trouper' and be done with it.

The same line keeps getting used everytime a character is in serious intensive care............Maddie was a "fighter", and so was Sunita. And let's not forget St Tina.........

How convenient that Johnny was at the scene of Carla's accident moments after it had happened. And the squabbling with Aiden, yawn...........give it a break!!! Annoying family, part of me just wishes Kate wasn't related to them because I feel the character has the furthest to go and is tolerable stand-alone.

Has work halted at Underworld? Would they raise a black knicker if god forbid Carla doesn't make it??? Not exactly good for business; in reality by having the Connors all at Carla's bedsit and no one managing the place, they will be losing a lot of money. A week can make a big difference in terms of meeting suppliers and clinching deals and in business you must make sacrifices (especially one in the red).............should've had a Connor taking over Carla's duties in the morning and visiting at night. Or at least Sally seeing to it.

I reckon an Anna - Kevin relationship would be much more low key and subdued in real life. But still fairly implausible, it's hard to believe that two people who have known each other for years would fall for each other at the exact same time having previously not felt any attraction......that type of cosy familiarity would usually be a big passion killer.
Much like Mr Barlow and Audrey.

"They're a fighter" - that line is a kiss of death in hospital scenes. Just look what happened to Sunita, Tina and Maddie after someone said it at their bedside. It's a wonder Carla didn't wake up just to hit Michelle as she was saying it.

Speaking of Michelle, Roy at the cafe said only close family were allowed to visit Carla before she woke up, but her third cousin/ex sister in law/friend was allowed to spend all day at her bedside? And did anyone else find it rude of her to drag the herd of Connors along with her into Carla's room, when Nick could have needed some alone time with his fiance at that moment, not a crowd of people around him? Also, nice of Aiden to not look bothered about Carla whatsoever. I know he may not think of her as his sister, but he's still supposedly known her for all of his life and he spends his time at her bedside in intensive care playing on his phone and squabbling with his dad.

What use is Tim going to be reading all that political literature for Sally when ... err ... he can't read?

And it looked to me as though the door to the bistro didn't have a keyhole on the outside - not where you'd expect it to be, anyway.
