What use is Tim going to be reading all that political literature for Sally when ... err ... he can't read? .
Yet another forgotten Corrie storyline.

Probably the most exiting storyline of the year so far.
Ah yes, but it'll never beat the 'will Aiden find his lucky socks... phone... highlighter pens' trilogy from last year.

How stupid is Leanne? She knows Tracey was in Carla's flat on the night of the fire.
Carla gets beaten up and the bistro was robbed and Tracey's phone was found in the kitchen! Is that all forgotten about???

even more exciting than the fact you CAN get an 18:35 train to hastings

there's more exciting news to come when noris gets some new specs, eva wears something that actually covers her cleavage and Jack gets a sticker for using a capital letter

Where is Norris ? Nobody seems concerned about whether Emily arrived safely in Peru.

Nothing wrong with Eva's cleavage

Did she need money to send to her nephew, Spider, or am I thinking of a different occasion?
IIRC she sold her house to Richard Gail's murderous husband, it was some sort of insurance/financial deal where Emily sold Richard the house and he let her live in it until she died.

I have actually forgotten Richard's surname, you know the one "Nprman Bates with a briefcase" classic Corrie.

Thank you Martin! Of course it was Hillman, the surname of my first love as a teenager!!

TBH I haven't watched corrie for ages, the terrible Nessie and Ken tuned me off completly, bad enough the ridiculous Roy and the woman from Bread being totally implausible, but KEN??? Poor Dierdre wasn't even cold the unfeeling loouse!

According to Nessa's son, she's moved on to another man already, probably bought him designer jeans and a bike.

Nessie and Ken have split. Nessie has found a new 'love' away from the street!

Edit: Janet beat me by 3 minutes!

Noris wasn't in the Kabin when Rita was getting annoyed with her computer, so she goes to Sophie and learns how to use it, but Sophie says she was taking to Noris earlier?

She had a financial deal with Hillman as did the Duckies. She didn't lose anything but the Duckies lost all their money/investment. I found it annoying that a goody character like Emily should keep her money/house but the poor old Duckies lost their money. Maybe they had different types of deals but it was still annoying.

Private rooms in itu yes, for isolation patients, but they would have a nurse there at all times. Did we even see one?
And how did Tracey manage to swan in and lurk at Carla's door? No security?

Yes, that's right, but much more recently than that she somehow sold the house to Norris. It's gonna drive me nuts now...

Yes, that's right, but much more recently than that she somehow sold the house to Norris. It's gonna drive me nuts now...

1972-1978 - Ernest and Emily Bishop
Ernie bought No.3 just before his marriage to Emily and they lived there prosperously until Ernie's death in January 1978.

1978-2002 - Emily Bishop
Emily continued at No.3 alone after Ernie's death. In 2002, she sold the house to Richard Hillman's company, Kellett Holdings, as part of an equity release scheme. Emily gave the £15,000 lump sum to her nephew Spider Nugent so that he could set up a juice bar in London, and continued on at No.3.

2002: Standing to benefit financially from Emily's death, a bereft Richard Hillman moves in for the kill...
2002-2003 - Kellett Holdings

Facing bankruptcy, Richard made two attempts on Emily's life, failing both times, and in 2003 he himself was drowned when he drove the Hillmans' people carrier into Weatherfield Canal in a suicide bid, with Gail and the kids inside. All of the family except Richard escaped, but in the wake of his death Gail discovered the extent of his financial problems, and warned Emily that creditors could have a claim on her house. Ultimately, this proved not to be the case and the house either reverted to Emily's ownership, or Gail, as the only surviving director of Kellett Holdings, signed the house back over to her neighbour.

2003-2013 - Emily Bishop
Emily remained as owner of No.3 for another ten years.

2013 to present - Norris Cole
Emily signed the house over to her lodger Norris Cole on the condition that she continued to live there. Although she didn't take any money from him, Emily was glad to be rid of the stresses of home ownership

Hope that helps

Just re-iterating a few of the things mentioned above (we were out on Friday and caught up last night!)

Tracey's phone. As soon as she mentioned that she couldn't find it, you just knew it would be in the kitchen at the Bistro. Why did she a) take it out of her pocket and b) put it down and leave it? Also, the Police found it and just knew it was evidence, rather than a phone that someone had genuinely left lying around. Also, they somehow knew it was left at the time of the crime, whereas it could have been there well before

Then they go and question her as if she committed the crime. Did anyone see Tracey driving the pickup or describe her as one of the two men in the pickup?

Nessie's son arrives at the Cafe and is upset at not being able to get a job. I start counting backwards "10...9... 8...." I'd got to 3 when he was offered the job

EDIT: Just gone back and found the scene in the Cafe. From the point where he first said the word "job" to the point where Roy offered him one - 16.48 seconds!

Phelan and Jason. Jason didn't get the job on Kevin's new venture did he? Yet we had a scene of Jason unloading his van right behind where Phelan was dumping stuff out of a wheelbarrow, just before the latter told Jason about the bloke "ripping Kevin off". Was Jason just randomly unloading his van there or is he working there as well?

Two more thoughts....

- Will the flower shop ever have any customers? If so, will they only be Street residents, or perhaps some of Audrey's mute customers will nip over after having their barnets done, and order, pay, and exit without uttering a word?

- What's the point of Andy and Steph? They only ever appear either in the Bistro or walking hand in hand towards the Bistro, usually starting outside Audrey's. OK, they are sort of involved in this current storyline, but frankly, who cares? (Other points of view are available!)

What happened to all the stock from Barlow Buys? Bet their customers are annoyed they can't sell them their unwanted Christmas gifts, or pick up gifts for next year

I think Jason mentioned in the previous episode that he'd been offered some sub-contracting work on the "project" ...

I guess that was so he could be on hand for the overcharging story ... and (I wonder) be given the project and give Phelan a job to keep him close to Anna (then, cue more stunningly bad acting frightened from Anna!).

A ridiculous statement, delivery tickets don't have prices on them, and if they did, what business is it of Phelans, he doesn't know how much the boss is charging Kevin for the job, and if the price is too high, it will be the boss who is losing money, not Kevin.

Must have missed the first part but I'm sure you're right about the second part!

I got lost trying to understand the whole situation here. I do tend to drift off sometimes during some story lines but didn't understand where Jason was involved or why they knew that the supplier (can't recall his name) was ripping them off.

Is this part of a build up to Pat ripping Kevin off in some way.

Steph is seriously underused. She needs a good story line. The recent revenge porn one didn't do her justice. I would love to see a lot more of Steph (maybe I should have checked out her recently publicised photo's )

Well without waiters/waitresses the customers can't get served.
