I hope David isn't planning to wear his iconic giant-sized catapillar boots for his murder/suicide bid

It's okay though, he just wants it for driving lessons for his teenage niece!
That's because they have met and know Betheny that is why they are ok with her learning to drive in a car that could essentially kill her.

Thanks both.

So David wont actually have to throw the lighter to start a fire, but just light it in the general vicinity of petrol?
(I was assuming that lighters switch off if you let go of them? )
It'll be interesting to see the container in which David intends to transport the petrol. An open tank would be a liability, and it would just slosh onto the floor. But would make igniting the vapour easy.

At the other extreme, proper petrol containers with locking tops would make them tricky to use.

It looks more interesting than the footballer storyline.

Wow. Thank you teacher. I should have been listening during my chemistry lessons !
Used to do an experiment as a demonstration of punching a hole in the bottom and lid of a press-on lidded tin, put it on a tripod and turn on a bunsen burner under it without lighting it. Then, when there was sufficient gas in the tin, turn off the bunsen burner and light the gas coming out of the hole in the tin lid. When the amount of gas left in the tin and the air, which was obviously going in through the hole in the bottom, got to the right proportions, there'd be quite an explosion and the lid would be blown off the tin and often nearly hit the ceiling.

Don't supposed its allowed now. Glad I was teaching before elf and safety made things so namby pamby.

Wouldn't Leanne just have to say to Steve that she will tell Michelle about the baby if he doesn't get the test?
But then if he has the test and if it's negative the SL would be over. The plan is to string it out for as long as possible because it's going to be negative isn't it?!! .

Just had a thought after watching the chase, what is the address of the pub? Number 1 is the barlows, but the main entrance of the pub is on CS so surely that should be number 1?

as a child in the 70s i thought it was, because i didn't know they had lost number 7. so thought the pub was one, one three, three five and five seven. then the gap, then nine, eleven, 13, shop.

is a bit odd though considering that the vic in EE is actually number 46 albert square

and it's my 2,400th post and i'll post if i want to

Perhaps they treat it like my previous house. It was the only one in the road (more of a lane), and the road didn't even have a name. It should have been numbered 1, but it just had a name and the name of the village. I did once get a letter delivered to my name, The Cottage (which wasn't the name of the house) and the name of the village. No county, no post code.

So The Rovers is OK just being known by its name, and it does actually have a road name to go with it which makes finding its location quite easy.

Yes we saw his foot on the Accelerator at one point in Nick's car. That was him making the mental computations necessary. Although, wait, hang on, we saw David recently trying to help Max with his fractions and had to give up as he couldn't do them. Doesn't bode well...
Quite.
The thing that stuck out for me was that all the boxes were clean and still full boxes, surely if they had been in a skip they would have been crushed down to make more room and at least some of them would have tea bag stains or dribbles from beer/Coke cans over them!!
Yes that SoR stuck out like a sore thumb, unless it's where everybody deposits their Amazon boxes, as no matter what you purchase, it will come in a box of that size.

But why would David attempt murder & suicide when he has children to consider?

I think that's leading to some sort of breakdown story for him.

He certainly knows how to show convincing emotion - Samia Ghardie take note.

Does Michelle Connor sit there all day with that over-exaggerated look of sadness on her face? Is that what passes for acting in Corrie?

The SL is stupid. Like they wouldn't have considered Amy and told Tracy about it. But then we can look forward to when she finds out and goes stomping round to the Rovers and starts ranting. Anything to string the SL out the nth degree.

David. Not liking this at all.

Any news on Dev's skip?

Yeah, we are supposed to believe Ken scares off the customers, despite Tracy always being rude to them.

Michelle seems to get along with Tracy, you wouldn't think she was talking to the same person who blackmailed her 'best mate' Carla a few months back and drove her out of town. Mind you Michelle has her new best mate Leanne and her loyal arse kissing followers, so life is all good.

Here we go, back to bitching about Peter all off a sudden, not at all to set up his impending return on Monday. It wasn't long since Leanne and Simon were willing to go and stay with him, but now seem to dislike him. Leanne passing judgement as well and mocking his drinking excuses, despite her reverting to being the local slapper and sleeping with Steve.

Speaking of Steve, shock horror he will get the test done. Proves that him being adamant not to take the test was just a week long filler to pad out the story further.

They did this skip background s/l once before when Audrey's standard lamp kept appearing & diappearing from the skip - it was much funnier that time around - haven't seen the joke yet, this time.
Where did the car seat come from?
Well spotted!
