Thanks, I usually seem to keep up to date with the action, and as I have never watched This Morning I wouldn't have seen. It seems strange that they have purposely kept it quiet and then let one of the cast shout her mouth out.

The cellar thing is absolutely ridiculous, another product of one of the famous scriptwriters meetings....

They couldn't come up with a sensible way to stop David carrying out his plan, so decided they family would lock him away somewhere. As there was no secure place to lock him away, they then decided to create a cellar for the purpose. No previous reference to it ever, and even if they'd hinted that it had been created when the Bistro was converted from a road/archway, as mentioned above, the viaduct would collapse - and if nothing else, they'd have built a modern, brightly lit, smooth walled cellar, rather than the Victorian brick built dungeon we saw last night!

Actually, if there was a feasible reason for the Bistro to have a cellar it would surely have made a better kitchen than the one they use now - which is smaller than in many houses!

Our local bistro uses their cellar - less dungeon-like admittedly - for it's kitchen and storage.

No different to EastEnders and R&R which is built user the railway bridge and has a basement/cellar. If it was built and designed with a basement/cellar in mind it would have been taken into consideration when building regarding strength. The viaduct when originally built would probably have been built with the intention of businesses occupying the arches as well so technically can be described as a building. Also the bistro may extend sideways and occupy a second arch as well so it is possible that the cellar could be under the second archway. Before someone mentions that the arch where the bistro entrance is used to be a road.

Regarding the Tommy Orpington and skip scenes that were queried as to whether they were replacement edits for Sharif, I asked a journalist friend of mine.

Tommy was cast before the Sharif stuff happened, but the skip becomes significant in the future (!). The scenes that have been edited are not due to be shown for another couple of weeks, when it all comes out about his romance.

Not much chance of that when they forget entire children.

I thought for a minute that we were actually going to see Liz's face minus slap, but no. And Michelle's flicked-up eyeliner was there in its full glory. It's such an odd look, and just makes it more obvious that about 80% of KM's acting is rolling he eyes.

They were all talking as if the trial was going to be over very quickly, and as if they knew that Gemma would be called to give evidence on the first day which seems unlikely. Surely it's not possible to predict the length of a trial, particularly of a serious crime? All they'd know would be that it would go on for much longer than a day or two!
