Agree with most of what is written on here but didn't really see anything wrong with William Roache's acting. Also, it made a change not to be told precisely what was going to happen beforehand, I was expecting a heart attack.

Well let's face it no matter what they do you will still complain, so it doesn't matter.

SOR thread? More like nitpick everything thread.”

Correct.

Nothing more for you to see here.

Ta ta.

I don't claim to know much about trials and court procedures but it seems to me that if Clayton was just going for sentencing because of his plea, then what the policewoman said doesn't make sense and witnesses are not needed! Still, this is a Corrie trail, so let's hope they've learned from Steve McDonald's oath when Peter was on trial. SO HELP ME GOD!

It's probably more than one charge.
He assaulted Gemma. He killed Kylie. That's two. Did he rob the kebab shop? I can't recall.
If yes, that's three.

Tracey was reminding her that it was time for school and walked with her as far as the florist's, a very normal thing to do I would have thought.

Thanks, missed that. But even more of an SOR to then take it all over to a place with no electricity!

Remind me. What reason did they give David to have dinner in the darkened Bistro?

(Sorry Boz .. you posted as I was typing !).

The cellar / dungeon should have been pitch black and how did they cook food for six or seven people with no electricity?

It was cooked at home.

Easy. They all had a hand in it. Because ...... (wait for it)... many hands make light work

(nurse - the pills !).

I hope this is a slow burner, but no doubt he'll be right as rain by Christmas.

Patrick's stroke on EE was well received IIRC and was one of the best examples of how to present a medical issue.

Rudolph Walker is a better actor than Bill Roache. EE also do better research and execution of topics than Corrie. But maybe this time Corrie will be better.

There was light coming in through the barred window from the street and the food, as someone else already said, was cooked at Gail's and carried across to the Bistro.

I'm not sure there was a reason as such, just that it "would be nice" to have a family dinner by candlelight. Feeble, I know, but I didn't write the stuff...

Oh, right. I misunderstood, I thought she was taking her to school.

I just think people are imagining that they have done the scenes with the Tommy Orpington character to replace Sharif scenes as they are trying to think that the scenes weren't planned as an excuse for them being so cringe worthy, they seem to forget Corrie are experts when it comes to cringe worthy scenes.

As has just happened in real life. Boy admits murder, girl pleads manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility after a court trial she is fund guilty of murder

Do we need to see Sharif again? It's been a couple of weeks now and I can barely remember what was happening!

Also, is Maria supposed to be in London still? How long has she gone for? I thought it was a couple of days but it seems to be more like a fortnight or more. Really? It's a good job that everyone in CS has such understanding bosses that they can disappear for weeks at the drop of a hat, eh Maria, Sophie...

because there would be more room for them all instead of the poky little room at home

A situation that doesn't seem to bother them at any other time.

Candles or battery powered lamps for light and gas cookers for the cooking? Most professional kitchens you see on TV have gas cookers.

But Robert wasn't involved so it makes sense that they cooked it at home provided they intended it to be cold or reheated when they ate it.

Yes but you seem to be forgetting that the till wouldn't work so the dimbo staff they employ in the bistro would have to work out the customers bills the old fashioned way, plus the credit/debit card machines wouldn't work either, since everyone in corrie always pays for everything with contactless cards these days.

But the Bistro was closed to ordinary customers, and surely the Platts wouldn't be charged for cooking the food they'd provided themselves. It was purely a family meal.

I don't think it matters TBH given that the electricity hadn't really failed, it was just an illusion that needed to be given to the family members who didn't know what was going on and anyone who happened to see them going in or coming out of the bistro. Not sure how Nick rigged the power failure but if he just removed a few fuses, they could still have had lighting in the cellar which presumably no-one would be able to see from the street.

Nice of Robert to be so relaxed about it all, he didn't even query the food in the fridges or freezers, let alone the loss of income, reputational damage etc. Will Nick have to deflect an insurance claim as well? If I was Robert, I'd have taken a load of food home to eat whilst he waited for the 'repairs'. Where does he live BTW?

Exactly any area that could not have been seen from the street could have had the lights on like the 'cellar'.

Strange that the cellar has just a small grill to let light in yet we could see David as if it was almost in daylight:

Don't remember seeing any rats though.
