There was so much emphasis on everybody going to lunch to celebrate. But the clock in the cafe said 2.20 when Tyrone was buying donuts? Late lunch?h

I was also among those who thought 'Why all
the drama and sympathy for Miss Hell, who was not even present at the crash or he subsequent explosion. She also couldn't act her way out of a paper bag, which never helps with dramatic scenes! |

Anna was lying in her hospital bed, with the blankets seemingly tightly folded around her. Wouldn't she have a "tent" over her, to prevent anything touching her burnt skin?
I also found it ironic that, after the defence counsel had presented a picture of the murder being self defence, when the police talked to the residents, they all firmly said that it was "only an accident". |

Maybe there's both and she just prefers a bath, many do!
I'm sure that David was in a glass enclosure, I dont think their bathroom is that big. The house is almost 30 years old, so I doubt very much it would have an ensuite in the master bedroom like newish houses. Mind you that house can stretch to accomodate any amount of people upstairs, so nothing would surprise me

Anna shouldn't have survived being in a fireball.

Kev and Anna were celebrating because they were moving in together. Really? All we've seen of their wonderful relationship is a few dates and a shag. After that they announced they were a couple. Apart from Anna having a screaming fit over Phelan and a screaming fit when Faye was with the lad, what else have Anna and Kev actually done in Corrie?
It's obvious it was done to make Anna's hospitalisation appear really sad. Boo hoo. Boo hoo. Anyway, Gary was stuck under a car, Lily was stuck under a car, David was injured, Anna was injured and Robert got a nasty cut on his hand. But who got all the attention? Michelle Connor. Yes, poor Michelle Connor who was actually indoors, coming down the stairs and safe when the explosion happened. After people had paid her the right amount of attention and asked enough times if she was ok, she then sat in the Rovers with yet another over exaggerated look of sadness like she was the only person affected or she was the most affected. People just don't sit around with such overemphasised sad, melancholy faces. And Mary and Beth. Were they comic relief for tonight's ep? ![]() Quote:
Reet and Norris missing, most unusual. Factory closed? 'Hard up' Fiz was off just so she could babysit a neighbours kids (badly). Eva was in court. Beth litter picking. Sally in the pub.
The medical centre and chippy not evacuated though they had an exploded car outside. The salon closed. No one from the cab office, community centre or Roy's rolls appearing. Audrey getting a call about Ken but never appearing at the hospital. Florists closed? Mary had enough free time to do communitiy service! Why was Fiz at home with the kids- Hope is 6 and Ruby 4, they should have been at school/nursery (Max was in school). It was well done but if you look into it there were a lot of plot holes. Quote:
Didn't notice that but I use scaffolding planks and any car hitting and running up one of those would snap it like a match almost instantly, it couldn't bear the weight of a car.

I like how Anna stood waving her arms like a Wallace and Gromit character when the fireball came towards her.

CS is woeful. I have stopped watching, had watched for years. SB ruined most of the characters turning them into comedic characters etc and I don't see any way back for it now.

Still need to catch up on Wednesday and Friday's eppys........all sounds hilarious!
It's lazy Corrie propaganda. They are better off just flashing *MICHELLE IS GREAT* and be done with it. I just find the whole character superficial, but that's sadly the case with Corrie women today. For starters Michelle looks immaculate, whatever time of day..........she looks pristine in the mornings. Where's the realism? I'm not saying she should stroll in dog rough, but the only time we see characters without makeup is when they are 'loony' or suffering from 'extreme' insomnia. Even then, Michelle's mascara doesn't fail her. They made her out as some super businesswoman, and binned that development when Steve bought the Rovers back. One of the worst decisions Corrie have ever made! The writers tried modelling the relationship on Jack and Vera but failed..............now it's Rachel and Ross. What next, Homer and Marge? It's a shame what has happened to Steve. Any credibility and roundness the character once had has been sucked out by these inept writers. YOU WILL ALL LOVE MICHELLE YOU WILL ALL LOVE MICHELLE YOU WILL ALL LOVE MICHELLE YOU WILL ALL LOVE MICHELLE should work. ![]() You know Bet was so superficial with her look. OTT make-up. OTT hair. OTT clothes. OTT personailty. But she worked because we saw the very human side of the character. They might be trying that now with Michelle. Sad, preggers Michelle and Steve's medical issue. Awwww Poor Michelle. Explosions and flying glass. Awwww poor sad Michelle. But it's just not working. She's just not a sympathetic character. Michelle's perfect eye makeup even when she's crying doesn't help either! Homer and Marge! LOL Why stop at TV? Rhett Butler and Scarlett O'Hara Danny and Sandy Jack and Rose Edward Cullen and Bella Swan Baby and Johnny Mr & Mrs Smith Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy Steve and Michelle are icons and legends of the soap world and could be any of the above! ![]() ![]() Quote:

Who were the other two that must of got very injured during the second explosion, it showed them really close to the second one and appeared to get engulfed in flames but never said who they were. It did make me laugh how David was appearing to be a few meters away from hitting Lilly the all of a sudden he'd gone backwards and veered over to some planks of wood on a skip and turned over onto his side. Then it lands on a 4 year old and she didn't make a sound, then comes out fine without a scratch. Same with Gary, couldn't move then in the hospital fine.

When David was in the locked car, trying to get it started, he had the personna of a mentally ill person. Then, after all of the commotion, he was his "normal" self again.

I was a bit confused about so much emphasis on Michelle too. I expected her to suddenly have stomach cramps and have to be rushed in to hospital having a baby scare, not that she was OK.

Wouldn't it have been a great excuse to get rid of the pitiful Sean Tully character. Billy could have administered the Last Rites while everyone else cheered him on.

Yes, very true, many people prefer a bath, but if there was a shower in the bathroom it would be over the bath, with a screen or a plastic curtain!!

Her acting is so limited, it's woeful. She puts one expression on, usually miserable, and it just sticks there. When she was angry with Steve for staying in Spain - though she'd been messing around with Weird Will - that expression appeared and didn't change for weeks. It's so exaggerated, it's like a clown's face painted to show sadness. When all the attention switched to her, I was sure we were in for some dramatic medical emergency connected to her pregnancy, but no - it was Michelle over-reacting. Mind you, we're lucky to have her. |

I didn't get why Fiz made the kids paint in the back yard.
Would a few splatters have made much difference in the hovel? Also, what a pile of dog sheisse re. half the street partying that Kev and Fishwife were going to co-habit. Does anyone really do that, cos I sure as hell don't know anyone who has, myself included. |

Don't be rotten, didn't she have enough to contend with all the trauma of hearing the crash and having the pub windows broken. No wonder everyone was concerned for her and her shock, after all, the other people being trapped and injured will be dealt with in due course, Michelle has No. 1. Priority, never forget that!
good job she was not around years ago, whilst deirdre was pulling all the wood out the rovers back in 1980 shouting TRACY an iccle michelle would be crying because the frantic shouting made her jump :P another thing, it's Garry NOT GINGER OR ANY OTHER HAIR COLOUR RELATED DEROGATORY TERMINOLOGY |

AND....(rant coming up)
Why would Gary be happy about his mother going to live with someone who cheated on his wife more times than I can remember and has had a spell in prison for violence? She would be better off with flaming Phelan! |
