Fiz wasn't minding Harry, as later on she said 'I better get back to the girls'.
Audrey wasn't minding Harry either as we saw her on her own earlier.
It's was all 'where's Lily, where's Lily'. No one cared that Harry has been left on his own for about 12hrs. Unless Michael had taken him for a walk - but they could have told us that...

It really spoils a scene when you are wondering who is doing the babysitting?”

Disgusting, isn't it?
Corrie should be doing their bit to prevent glorifying childhood obesity, but then Fiz and Ty live on junk food.

On another note, there seemed to be a massive deal made over Robert's bloody hand which makes me think something is going to happen?

I definitely think the plank of wood up against the skip should get a nomination for best actor in Corrie too.

god, you're so right, there's so many planks of wood in corry i didn't see that one.

somebody mentioned Robert's cut hand. David cut his hand but was able to hold the steering wheel on the car.

give the spelling of 'Lily's name with one L should it not be pronounced lie-lee or does crap spelling / pronunciation not count as SOR

But neither of the children are fat. In fact, Hope looks like she could benefit from a few more cream buns.

Me too. And lifting the car was much easier than they made out on the show.

No, unless Lily is a secret American, in which case Lillie/ is more usual, it is the correct and most common English spelling. Like the flower.

That's a bit harsh on Robert is it not? He did a fine bit of acting there with his hideously gashed hand.

I hope he gets help from Todd ... he seems to have a good remedy for disguising disfiguring life changing scars.

(Todd needs to point out, though, that the scar will occasionally reappear for random - short - periods).

That's because Ty was lying about the doughnuts they were for him and as soon as he got out of the café he would have snaffled them down box and all.

There were real sparks with Karen and Becky because they were likeable, engaging characters and Steve worked well with both of them.

Feisty Michelle didn't work because he was never allowed to fight back. So Steve and Michelle have never had the same chemistry like when Steve was with Karen and Becky. Corrie were lucky that Steve had two sparky relationships. Michelle is now a sensitive character as seen in Friday's eps. But that doesn't work either.

Poor Steve. Now he's just some insignificant wally who does a comedic turn with Tim and fawns over his latest wife, Michelle.

Steve was a much better character away from the Rovers, full stop. The McDonalds didn't work first time around, so why did silly Blackburn kick out the Prices and put them front and centre??

Steve's character change saddens me more than artificial Michelle. Could you imagine if Steve had to confront Jez today.........70% of the 'acting' would be him gurning. I
don't even recognise Liz anymore.......the writers have damaged the McDonalds.

Who could forget it!

Luke and his yummy fish and chips and Ty who had something like a stale, meat paste butty.

OTT Corrie always have to hammer it home!

None of the characters live healthy lifestyles, but then again Corrie (along with the other soaps) are hardly at a place to try and be moralistic. Worse goes on than eating donuts.

And the last thing we need is Corrie's attempts at 'tacking' yet another issue driven plot (even though as a poster pointed out neither Hope or Ruby are overweight).

The worship for Michelle is ridiculous and Corrie aren't even trying to be subtle. Was it always like this with Michelle? It seems to be something that has just started over the past couple of years.

You wouldn't think at one point Liz disliked Michelle.

No the kids aren't overweight themselves but I meant promoting childhood obesity in general with showing an irresponsible parent buying four massive donuts for each young child.
But you are right, barely any of the characters live on a healthy diet as shown by the muck they eat on a daily basis in that greasy cafe. Even Carla Connor used to tuck into a greasy fry up and she would definitely be a health conscious character.

They have turned Steve not just into a comedic turn, but he is now the village idiot. Watching him now is pretty embarrassing and I would like KO to have the guts to axe him ( very unlikely I know but I live in hope)

Simon Gregson had sometime off last year with an illness, depression??? and I am wondering if this has affected the way he acts the part of th character, because he was never that bad before

kids in soaps live on burgers anyway, although we did see David and Max make a lasagne once

Whats the betting that Anna Wndyar$e will be back behind the counter at Roys next week selling barm cakes and giving the factory girls their cakes for the cake run and her accident will be conveniently forgotten

If you type both versions into this website it shows which is most popular. http://names.darkgreener.com/#lilly

I imagine the different spellings are linked to class, so if all your Lillies are from the same school that might explain it?

Tyrone seems to do nothing but spend a fortune on unhealthy food in the cafe , but in general, I dont think it is irresponsible to feed a child doughnuts as an occasional treat at half term.

If Carla was health conscious she would have given up the booze long before the bacon buttys.
