Didn't watch the first episode.

Second episode amounted to shameless propaganda. They should just cut the crap and tell us.....

Michelle is fab.
Michelle is wonderful
Michelle is the best thing that's ever happened to Steve.
Michelle can do no wrong
The baby will be lucky to have Michelle as its mother!

She pretends to be 'smiley and upbeat'............does a great job, not!! Tears don't wash away Michelle's makeup either.

Lots of people are/were affected by Jim's genetic disorder but Michelle has hogged the SL. As we all knew Steve would be negative and all is well for Michelle. The SL affected Amy, Steve, Leanne and Andy but the focus was on Michelle! And what about Andy? Has he had a test? As long as Michelle is ok does anyone actually give a sh!t?

So many people in Corrie were directly affected by the car crash but not Michelle. Yet she hogged part of that SL too. Even Robert was gushing over her wonderfulness with his 'You're Michelle Connor'. As you say Corrie is hyping her up.

Ken bl@@dy Barlow and his stroke. Those faces. Someone please make it stop.

Dev and the other kebab shop man.

Johnny continually moaning at Aliyah.

Gary Windass. From Izzy to Aliyah and now Sarah.

Beth and Kirk's reunion.

That gorgeous dog.

I got the impression that Beth was permanently hard up, but she splashes out on a thousand pound plus sausage dog?

I should check out the pets missing column in the Weatherfield Gazette before worrying how Beth could afford such a little charmer.

What is the point of Caz?

She just hangs around the Street like a bad smell, crying with no visible tears, peddling her sob story to anyone who will listen.

Get rid, please

It is a complete mystery how the actor playing Caz landed the role. She really is absolutely dire, with her sixth-form play style of acting and her shortcomings were particularly exposed tonight. Juxtaposed with some strong performances, Caz's scenes were clunkingly dreadful. What sort of auditioning process results in her being the chosen one?

This. Her sob story wouldn't even get her a 'yes' on x-factor, it's unconvincing and it's time they got rid of her. The actress is so awful, one of the worst actresses on CS atm.

Re. Steve getting the all clear from the hospital, isn't it a bit early to celebrate, surely any genetic abnormality could skip a generation?

Don't worry about Andy by the way, he is only Steve's brother (twin?).

All will be forgotten this time next week.

Liam has been appropriated by street bunny boiler in the making - Eva. Now she's had him to stay she'll become Michelle Connor #2 and demand a baby of her own. Pronto. Who knows what will happen when she discovers Aidan's infidelity with Maria. Poor Liam. Mwahahahah!

Already noted and we're not. As long as Michelle is okay all is well with the world.

I think she's there to show us how good the other actors are.

I'm a bit confused about this genetic condition Jim suddenly has. I missed the week when they found out about it and presumably explained about the condition. I've head 'MD' being mentioned in some scenes when Michelle and Steve have been talking about it. I've asked my mum and she says it's Muscular Dystrophy. My confusion is that my boyfriend was thought to have a muscular dystrophy (note the term a because there's a whole category for them, not just one, singular condition.) Also he's had his symptoms since birth and has undergone tests and visits to different specialists to narrow down his diagnosis throughout his life. I find it odd that Jim was able to get to his 60s without ever knowing that he has it? Is it meant to be some slow-acting condition?

I just don't understand how Michelle could leave something so private and confidential such as abortion clinics open on an iPad...

Yeah I noticed that too, and I found it bizarre that the appointment was sent by post in this day and age.

What is the point of all these soppy scenes with Robert and Michelle, are they going to have an affair while she's pregnant? Will he be the next mug on the Street who's desperate to be a daddy to Steve McDonald's baby?

My annual hospital appointments are always sent by post, if the date or time are not convenient they ask you to phone and rearrange as required.

How do you expect people to know what is going on behind your back if websites are not left open or doors left open when private conversations are taking place or pregnancy kits thrown into the nearest open waste bin.

They end up pushing those who need almost constant watching onto family members, hoping they can take some or even all of the load off them.
Very sad. ”

In my area, one of the Heath trusts has been criticised by a coroner and there could be a court case over a woman who jumped from a bridge over a motorway after her family could not get her help. They phoned for help and was told they'd have to manage the best they could because the office was closing for the weekend.

Now, not only are the family suffering, but the driver who hit and killed her is too. But heyho, the trust concerned has apologised. That makes it all right then doesn't it?

In David's case, Anna is in hospital, but no-one else was injured so the writers will now forget that David had serious mental problems, which have been miraculously cured by his shock at what happened, and they will concentrate on Anna for a couple of weeks until she's fit and healthy again with no sign of any problems.

If Steve hasn't inherited the gene responsible, then he won't have the condition and neither will anyone following him.

Skipping a generation is a bit of a myth. For instance, if the disorder is carried on the female X chromosome a male XY will have the condition and pass the affected gene on to a daughter on the X, but not on the Y to a son.

His daughter XX she will only have the condition if the other X also carried the affected gene. If the other X doesn't carry the affected gene she will not have the condition. It's masked by the unaffected one. She has a 50/50 chance of passing on an affected X to her son or daughter. It would then appear that it had skipped a generation.

Myotonic dystophy doesn't appear to be specific to the either X or Y chromosomes and if present on one of them could be passed on to either a son or a daughter, who will have the condition and won't skip a generation. It can also be caused by a gene mutation. Again it's 50/50 - either they will inherit the affected gene or they won't, and from last night's episode Steve hasn't, so all that wailing and moaning from Michelle was completely over the top. Why didn't she just wait until the afternoon to find out?

The one who needs to be tested is Andy, Steve's brother.

The symptoms of Myotonic Dystrophy, which is the one Jim MacDonald has, don't appear until adulthood.

I've always thought William Roach was a rubbish actor, but his woeful portrayal of a someone who has had a stroke is pathetic. Have the producers even bothered to research this, or will it be another story for a couple of weeks and all forgotten about. (Sadly I've spent the last 3 years around stroke victims).

I keep expecting Ken to say 'ar jim lad' at the end of every sentence, he's so awful.

Still, Steve is ok (no suprise there) so the whole stoyline seems a waste of time, except to tell us how wonderful Michelle is. Its so obvious her and Robert will get it on very shortly.
