I'm no fan of Michelle, but the the nasty way Amy spoke to her, interrogating her about the abortion thing was out of order. Why did she take that from the horrible brat?

Tracy is Amy's mother, need I say any more. You know the old saying "like mother like daughter".

I thought abortion was the mother's right to choose, not the prospective sibling

soaps always make teens act like bratty adults and the grown ups backdown, Amy is 12, she's a kid, she needs to learn some respect of her elders

Can anyone think of anything nice to say about Michelle, she is really getting pelters on here ( and rightly so).

One of the biggest SOR's would be someone having a positive comment about her

BIB: I thought this was really silly and unconvincing. They were about to get the test result so Michelle decides to do a spot of 'Look at me, I am so hard done by. Look at me!' instead of waiting an hour or two. Presumably this was so that KM had an opportunity to emote and strop all over the place.

Ridiculous. This is one thing CS actually got right for a change. Of course a 12 year old will have a view (and be very upset) if someone is thinking of killing her unborn sister or brother.

She may want a brother or sister( not sure why the spoilt brat would be so desperate, never mind!) but her stinking , bullying attitude toward Michelle was really out of order.

OK, if that as your point, fair enough. I must admit these days I tend to fast forward Michelle scenes, so didn't see the extent of the brat's bullying. However, I thought it was against the law to be nasty to Michelle, hence my confusion.

she was stood over her in arm fold mode with an evil look which could curdle butter and michelle is all grovely and pathetic

sure Amy can have an opinion but her lack of respect to her step mum is wrong and it annoys me when they have to write children to behave that way because in the real world most of them dont

Because Corrie have fallen into the crap trap of "telling" as opposed to "showing". Kym Marsh is a poor performer, a total one-note "actress" (I use the quotes as she was only hired for who she was, she clearly hasn't had any training) who might as well be made of teak for all the emotion she can display. The producers and scriptwriters for some unknown reason want Michelle to be a Corrie woman of old, a strong female character with a heart of gold but she can't act well enough to portray this so their solution is to get others characters to constantly tell us how marvelous she is.

Michelle hasn't got a heart of gold, she doesn't give a damn about anyone but herself, she is a dreadful selfish character and a terrible actress

Her temper was a bit overdone, I thought. It was disappointing because the little actress is usually great.

I dont know why it is still only the mother's choice when the father has equal rights in everything else.

Well, the actress must have the patience of a saint to put up with the lousy script that has her arm-folding and eye-rolling non stop.

Indeed. I think it was the script and delivery that was the problem, not the subject.

It reminded me of that film, "Children of the corn"

Amy might have been out of order for the way she behaved towards Michelle but then Michelle hardly sets a good example. For years Amy has seen Michelle ridiculing, bullying and bossing her father about. It's unbelievable that Amy would think so much of Michelle.

Also after the Amy and Michelle scenes, Michelle went storming into the bistro kitchen to have a go at Robert on full throttle. Corrie women like Anna, Eileen, Michelle etc. shout and scream and go completely and utterly OTT. Amy has been written in the same way because that's the way Corrie women are.

Most men would not put up with the way the women in Corrie speak to them, I know my husband certainly wouldn't if I ranted and raved at him. But they just seem to take it. Which is a SOR in itself. About the only man who rants is neanderthal Kevin.

And once again when Michelle went to have a go at wooden top she could just go in the kitchen with no problem. Was the bistro shut? And if so how did she even get in to the restaurant at all?

I think the discrepancy between what characters keep telling the viewer about Michelle and what she shows about herself by her actions and words is very striking. She's wonderfully strong, exceptionally beautiful - Will's fiancée referred to 'that face' as if Michelle was the Corrie equivalent of Helen of Troy - and yes, there's the heart of gold too. But what viewers are shown is an ordinary woman, OK for her age, over made-up, bossy, sometimes nasty, and very self-absorbed. I don't think I can get over the sneering she and Liz did about Steve's History course, and the way she dragged him down the street by his ear, as if he were a naughty boy in a 50s Beano comic strip.

And she can't act well enough to change my view of her, so every time a character randomly praises this marvel of a woman, my reaction is to snort in disbelief. .

And the Oscar for dramatic crying without ANY tears goes to Caz (although Ken is a close second with his facial expressions....is it rude of me to laugh when he tries to speak? At one point I thought his head was gonna swivel round like the Exorcist!)

And still about Caz, wouldn't Tryone know Maria better than Caz and know that Maria wouldn't be ringing Caz all hours of the day...its out of character for her.

And finally, would Steve really tell his test results to his mother in the middle of the pub???”

Ken must have had a very mild stroke, because he is able to speak, in a fashion, with a very contorted mouth ..............

But what really amazed me was when Gayle apologized to Gary about Anna and Gary shrugged it off and said it was accident. An accident? David having containers of petrol in his car that he sploshed around inside the car, and now Gary is getting together with Sarah

They all broke out the "second cheapest sparkling" in celebration but have they checked that Andy is OK? Have they forgotten that Jim has still got the condition (so he does) and is going to need a lot of looking after (so he is).

But I guess as long as her Royal Sigh-ness saint Michelle's baby is OK

Oh and can someone tell Caz to shut her mouth please.

I agree. The viewers never see the wonder that is Michelle Connor and she's certainly not better looking than Maria or Sarah yet they don't get drooled and fawned over and told how precious they are. Michele has to have her ego continually boosted. The question is why?
