Am I making a mountain out of a molehill? Does it matter? Shall I have another drink?”

Good point and why aren't the Weatherfield plods who seem suspicious of her fake marriage querying it?

Noticing that this is my 3000th post, why not use it to marvel at the fact that this is the 7th Anniversary of this post!

I know there are many threads regarding Coronation Street - including detailed analysis of the episodes and characters - but I REALLY need to start and maintain this thread!

"I'm a long-time fan - 49 years and counting! - and, although its recent quality has left me disappointed, can't see me ever abandoning Corry.

So, I must use this thread to record the increasing instances of poor production, lazy writing and lack of continuity - just to calm myself down
"

Who'd have thought it? Well done folks!

Well done to you Meldrewman!! This thread is the best and only one I read and submit to on Digital Spy. It has thoroughly entertained me for the last few years since I happened across it, and I am certain that by Corrie standards it will continue to entertain me into the future

Happy Birthday! I love this thread. I don't often contribute, as most people have already voiced my thoughts on the show but I do love reading the thread.

So its clear that nothing much has changed in Corrie in 7 years

And probably nothing will in the next 7 years.

Happy Birthday Meldrewman.

Fizz!!! Shut your big mouth!

Seems to be getting more and more horrible as the time goes on. "It's not for me to say, BUT.....Blah blah blah". Her voice is getting more irritating every time she opens her mouth and her hair looks as it is crawling with something!

What a wasted opportunity that she wasn't hit by Dopey Dave's car, it would have put us all out of our misery.

Yes . It's a shame because her character at the start was of a feisty young female with a lot of fun about her. Now all she does is whine and look concerned. Maybe they'll liven her up a bit soon.

I have never eaten a 'donna kebab' in my life, and certainly do not intend to start any day soon!
However when Gemma rushed in late to open up the shop the meat 'thingy' was hanging up behind the counter all uncovered. Surely any cooked meat product would not be left just hanging to go cold and exposed to all and sundry overnight.

Hope the food standards inspector was watching.

Dev expect a visit soon!

Great boost for the British garment industry, BTW, new uniforms for the shop discussed, designed and tailor made in under a week! EU beat that!

What annoys me is when we see Tyrone and Fiz leave the house together in the morning, and walk to work. Where are their kids? One would have to be taken to school, and the other to a childminder before they can start work, yet they both come out the house together and just stroll along the street .
Then we see Ty in the cafe buying bacon sarnies for his breakfast, and then gives Cathy an order more stodgy sandwiches for his lunch, lazy git, just go home and make something

Yes, it's as if all that debt they were in has now disappeared with their children!

When you count what they all must spend eating in Roys every breakfast and lunchtime, plus cakes, (and he charges £1.50 for a danish pastry !!), must surely be a big chunk out of their wages. Has anyone noticed that Ty has also had some work done on his front teeth, like they'be been capped or whitened or something, not so hard up now?

Same here (well apart from a sneaky peek into Strictly's spoiler thread).

Fizz would sell anyone down the river, she would have no hesitation in selling
the children.

I've always found it amusing how they go to work in the factory dressed as if they're going to the North Pole. Big coats and scarves... they only live across the road, it must be 15 yards away at the most.

Shame about the fact he expected Andy to nip out of work to help him move Gail's whatever it was and everyone in the Bistro seemed to think that was acceptable

Gail is never happy unless someone has their hands on and moving her 'whatever it is'

Anyone will do, she isn't fussy.

Sarah, her daughter, is just the same, a real chip off the old block.

And Chesney would have clocked straight away that the fat in the fryers was cold, the veg hadn't been prepared for the salad etc....stupid
