Do you mean Maria?
Maria didnt order a new phone, Caz did and then dumped it.
Maria still had her own phone as we saw her on it on Friday.

As everybody has pointed out, it doesn't make any sense at all.

I dont understand why Caz was lurking in the street. Why would she go to all the trouble of faking an attack only to risk being seen?

I guess it was the only way she had of trying to gauge how her plan was working. If she'd been murdered she could hardly answer her own phone or ring anyone up. She had to have some idea of whether people had bitten or if everyone was believing Maria and the police hadn't even been called.

A couple of seconds before she was shown lurking I said to my missus I bet that she will be hanging about somewhere watching what is going on, Corrie at so predictable with that sort of thing.

My husband has just changed banks. Got a card in one letter and the PIN and a validation code in another. He just had to phone the the validation telephone number that came with the card and enter the validation code that came with the PIN. So if Maria's card provider used the same system, all Caz needed was both letters, which she must have had if she was withdrawing cash.

Admittedly it's a bit stupid of the card provider to assume that the same person wouldn't intercept both letters, but it happens..

It's not a religious thing but a cultural one. Addressing someone as "Auntie" or "Uncle", especially older persons even when they are not known to you, is a very common practice and is not restricted to any religious group. It's done all across Asia right from the Far East (China/Hong Kong), through all of South East Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore) and into the Subcontinent (India, Pakistan).

back to the Nazir's story, what happened to Rana's parents after they got sent packing after the big affair reveal, did they just go home?

and why go to all that expense of an engagement party and make lots of food just to ruin it by revealing your husbands infidelity.

It was completely out of character. I'm surprised she didn't finish off by slapping them and saying "thank you and goodnight" Peggy Mitchel style.

I reckon it's pretty normal to act out of character after finding out your husband has been cheating with your best friend! Shouldnt be classed as a SOR imo. ..

Plus Yasmeen's previous comments about wondering whether the affair could've been her fault in any way shows the big reveal wasn't some big crafty plan she had all along.

It was spurred on by her heightened emotions about the whole thing...as well as Zeedan's comment about his grandparent's "strong marriage"

as it's six weeks from a certain dodgy tweet / sacking I guess Sharif will suddenly disappear.

wonder how they were originally going to write him out

There were times during the "family discussion" on Friday when there was no sign of Sharif in shot, so I wonder if that dialogue was re-written to accomodate the inevitable departure, with his comments, etc being spliced in, or however it's done, from the already filmed episode.

Spoiler
He will leave a note to say he has gone away - off screen !

He was originally going to stay on for a few weeks more,
presumably to argue his case with Yasmeen.

I wondered that when Yazmeen ordered Alya and Sharif to pack a bag and leave there was only shots of Alya

Iv read 2 spoilers that will both be in this thread as soon as they air.

Spoiler

Police are useless yet again, They did a very poor job searching the flat, and apparently never searched or arrested a murder suspect and just as silly is Caz planted the weapon in a silly place and late in the game.

Re. ITV's trailers for this weeks episodes.

I am glad to see that Anna is home from hospital this week, I wish we had a hospital like that in our area, with such miraculous treatment on offer.

I expect they will be doing heart transplants in day surgery very soon.

And how she wasn't seen by Aiden is beyond an SOR.

there's enough dead wood

this caz story just gets odder and odder

daft people still moaning about sharif still being in it, how hard is it to understand the workings of tv in that not all tv is live and therefore instantaneous with real life, had Anwar been sacked as a tv presenter of say, This Morning, he'd have gone immediately, like John Leslie in 2002. (that's how Schofield got the gig)

Most tv is recorded weeks or months in advance which is how recently dead actors appear in programmes months after they died.

The story is weird. Why would Caz plot an elaborate revenge on Maria who was just about the only person who was nice to her? What is it all for?

It might help if the acting was better since Caz is very wooden and expressionless.
