Kev: "I wanna know the history between you and Phelan"

Anna: "He forced me to have sex with him"

Kev: "Why would he want to %$£& you"

He didn't force her though. She never had to go through with the deed.

Anyone who did that clearly doesn't have a funny bone in their body.

Would anyone put their email address or phone number on a page available to everyone else in the world? I'm not on either FB or twatter, so I've no idea how they work.

You can enter them in your personal details but choose to not have them publicly visible, if I remember correctly.

It doesn't have to be seen by the public, but if it's in your account settings FB will know.

That won't stop Anna making out that he did though, will it and SB will forget that we remember what happened.

It will be like when David 'forgot' he kicked Kylie out on Christmas Day and henceforth kept bleating that she had walked out on him.

Yes; my Contacts list on my phone is full of numbers of people on Facebook who I'm 'friends' with on there but don't know personally in real life. It's very common particularly with young girls these days for some reason.

She did go through with the deed from what I remember.

There's no such thing as a slow burn on Corrie. Rita joined Facebook and in the space of 24/48 hours she's had loads of requests including one from Jenny. Just like when Ken Barlow ended his relationship with Nessa on the pretext that he wasn't over Deirdre. And then the next thing we know he's sniffing around Audrey.

Its also totally predictable that he'll swindle Kevin and probably Jason, which could gives Jason his exit story and make us all squirm again - except those posters currently indulging in repetitive schoolboy smut bout Anna. Another rinse and repeat storyline, which all characters seem to have to have.

That's yet another Corrie standard scene. Just like the chats in the booth at the Rovers and a line-up at the bar smirking and commenting.

Whether Phelan cheats Kev and Jason or not he will definitely get sent packing this time by Anna's heroic new squeeze and possibly Jason nice but dim.

I'm not sure if the writers did it purposely but they don't deserve sacking. That's a bit OTT. Some of the posters find it funny and that's fine. We don't all have the same sense of humour. If you don't think it's funny, it's probably best just to ignore them.

The bit I don't get is that the build/conversion has seemingly been going on for some time but no one has seen hide nor hair of the workers, not in The Rovers, the cafe or heaven forbid the bistro.

The only way we knew they were there was when they hit the cable”

Has it though? One day recently Kev had just decided which contractor to employ. Then they started work. You're right about the workers though. Where are they? Surely there's more than just Jason and Phelan?

Also when Luke came into the Bistro the first thing CID woman said to him was "who are you?". For all she knew he could just be a regular customer coming in for a meal or a drink. To instantly attack him as he came through the door seemed a bit odd.”

All bl@@dy stupid. The interview in the bistro and the staff all gawping from the bar area. Cabaret night at the bistro again.

Keep up the good work ”

Hello! That stuff in Liz's hair looks like lametta - tinsel for Christmas trees.

True. None of it will be Anna's fault. Even though she acted very foolishly.

I see : there are obviously things about FB I'm unaware of. Do I take it that FB can access a member's contact list? But nobody would have Rita's email address because presumably she's only just got one. And would Rita, or anyone, place their phone number in FB?

Thanks. Is this the "syncing" thing, which I really don't understand, or did you type them in there yourself? And does the fact you don't know them personally mean you've never spoken to them?

Yeah, my phone syncs my contacts from Facebook automatically. It's actually annoying sometimes but hey ho. And in most cases yeah I've never spoken to them.

In the same circumstances where he had swindled my partner out of a large amount of money, humiliated him and my son, and then threatened to have both him and my son jailed for assault when they were reacting to what he'd done, then yes I would go through with it just as she did. But he wouldn't be able to blackmail anyone by that method again because I'd Bobbitt him and go to jail for that.

Maybe Anna should have just realised that Gary assaulting someone is wrong regardless of who it is and made him man up and take the consequences of his actions rather than allow herself to be backed into a corner and blackmailed.

the law does not exist in weatherfield, all police are trained by the keystone cops and innocent people are sent down on the most implausible scrap of evidence and everybody closes rank against people they have know for decades.

interesting new story coming up re callum

his body is found but it does not affect the people you think it might. wonder if Jason is accused of the murder and it's his exit story

Now is not the time for eloquence, it is time for clarity. You seem to be contradicting yourself at an alarming rate. You were adamant in one post that the same thing should be done to any man or woman who sexually abused others and sent to jail. The key to be thrown away no less. In your willingness to cut a penis off which is sexual abuse, you mentioned you would go to jail for that. The slicing and removal of your vaginal and breast parts seems to have slipped your mind. It appears you have great compassion for yourself and are to be applauded.

I just don't understand why anyone thinks Anna was forced into what she did she even dressed up and made herself up for it, not really the actions of someone being forced to that's for sure and you can understand why anyone watching would think that she was up for it.

Can we leave the Phelan thing to other threads. So that we don't ruin this thread. It is emotional and upsetting subject matter.

Not really since the whole Anna and Phelan fiasco fits well with the SOR nature of this thread so has a right to be here.
