I'm afraid you are well behind the times with to-days technology, spy cams and the like don't need broadband or fixed instillations to operate. Some units transmit wirelessly to 'the cloud' which can be picked up anywhere in the world via the internet. And you do not need wi-fi to receive the signal, 3g on a phone or tablet will do just as well.
Some folks monitor security cameras in their own homes from across the world, watching a spy camera from a few hundred yards away is easy peasy.
This post is so wrong.
WiFi is simply the way some people connect to the internet. These cameras require the internet to stream the pictures.
I'm unaware of cameras that can connect directly to the phone network without using an internet connection.

Corrie is so predictable that no one needs to read spoilers anyway.
'Tis true.

I mean I haven't looked at the spoilers for this Crazy Caz storyline, but what will Maria do once she finds the scissors?

a) Tell the police
b) Hide it

If she does b, how long before someone finds it and frames her?

Maria's clients cancel as they've all heard the news that Maria is a suspected murderess yet apparently Kylie being stabbed to death outside the salon is just not as newsworthy given that one extra (the only one that's ever spoken) could ask how David's wife was for plot expediency. Ughhhhhhhh

Added to which, it was David who did a scalp job on a young girl in that very salon - never lost a customer though!

One SOR I find is that any of us forumers expected the Caz /Maria storyline to be dross with more holes in the plot than a Rab C Nesbitt vest.

I know they must have a bit of artistic licence but the the whole storyline is just so poorly researched, thought out

My take on the Eileen deafness, it will be just wax and she goes to get this sorted. Phelan does not know she is getting this sorted, so him and Vince talk loudly about their scam and she can now overhear them

Maria and Caz and the SL that keeps on giving.

That's damned good theory and quite likely. After all she couldn't be a bossy old boot switchboard operator at Streetcars if she was permanently deaf!

So as I suspected Caz didn't have the brains to change the delivery address of the credit card statement and it still got sent to Maria's address.

Bet the boys in blue still won't inspect the CCTV of the locations where Caz made the purchases

Agreed!

Come on now, it can't be too difficult to take the time and effort to look at the far right of the icons above and use the spoiler tags.

I know the excuse is often - it's mentioned everywhere, but some of us don't look elsewhere and would prefer to "enjoy" Corrie without being told what's coming.
Thanks for the spoiler!
Your welcome

Please put spoilers in tags!
I don't know how to put spoilers tags on here sorry

When you type a post there is a greyed out S to the right of the icons above the message box. Highlight the text you want to put in a spoiler then select the greyed out S. This will ensure the post is not visible unless someone selects it to view it.

I dont know anything about cameras, wifi, phones or surveillance, but a quick google brought up these....http://www.3gmobilecctv.com/3g-cctv-cameras.html
Is that something Caz could use?

Why has Maria's money been forgotten? She had plenty of money and now aiden is offering to help her financially

This week, Michelle and Leanne have both suddenly sprouted significant baby bumps overnight. With the usual "every pregnant woman in a soap keeps stroking her belly" disease. And Michelle's baby was allegedly jumping up and down on her bladder on Monday. You're only a few weeks pregnant, woman!

So nice when you go in a pub for a drink and the barmaid can't be arsed to serve you because she is hanging balloons up! If I was Michael I would have left and taken my business elsewhere.

The oh so perfect Michelle can't pull a pint and put up balloons, what on earth has gone wrong with the world?

And did you notice how Leanne was waddling???

Like she had a beach ball between her knees!!

Even my husband said "has she just got off a horse"?

I dread to think how she will be at 9 months.....

Yes, my misuse of terminology has caused the confusion, the point I was making is that the wi-fi connection to the internet is not dependent on fixed routers and broadband services. The 3g connection to the mobile phone company's servers does the job for you.

I would also like to mirror what a lot of others have said. I am an occasional contributor to this thread mainly because my wife works shifts and we are sometimes up to two weeks behind on watching episodes so I am usually too late to put my points across mainly because others have already highlighted them. I also must add that if it wasn't for this thread I would have given up watching in the last couple of years as the plots and acting in the main have been terrible, but I like to watch and then read this thread as it is amusing that we all pick up on the same things.

My major gripe at the moment is with the way the writers portray the police. Now don't get me wrong I have never been in trouble with the law before myself but I am good mates with people who work in the police and although I haven't come across them in their working capacity they are god guys and I am fairly sure that not every policeman/policewomen in real life are all nasty, cocky sneering upstarts that go around with a face like thunder and assume that every person they are called out to are guilty of a heinous crime.

As soon as Aiden told Maria the police was at the door I said to my eldest son, you watch the faces of the police when the door is opened, they will be stern and horrible. Low and behold I was correct, the female policewomen in particular has probably never cracked a smile in her life..

I'm not saying there are not people that work in the police that are not like this, but not every single one surely. It must be the instructions the people that play police officers get when they get the gig, you MUST be unhelpful and rude as you are the police. Really winds me up, and bearing how often the police sniff around the Street after somebody maybe they should build the police station in the street, that would save on a lot of fuel and getting caught on the ring road.
Tonight's episode showed once more further examples of what you say.

Day 1 for recruits at Police Training Centres:

Lesson 1 ; Show several different clips of Weatherfield Police at work.

Lesson 2: Those clips are NOTHING like how we look on duty

Lesson 3: Those clips are NOTHING like how we talk on duty

Lesson 4: Those clips are NOTHING like how we act on duty

Lesson 5 : The criminals are nothing like those portrayed.

Lesson 6 : The general public are nothing like the clowns you have just watched

Tomorrow we will start teaching you the serious business of policing.

Ridiculous isn't it! When are they due, I thought it was a few months into next year. And Michelle fell pregnant quite a few weeks after Leanne and her bump isn't much smaller

Leanne has always had a dreadful walk. The actress who plays her is obviously bow legged. And have you noticed Eva's tree trunk legs?

Sorry, bitchy of me I know

Your terminology is fine but I think you're still wrong.
A camera requires an internet connection.
As far as I'm aware, there's no camera that can connect to the internet without broadband, be it wired (WiFi or not), wireless or mobile (3 or 4g)

So for a camera to be viewed by anybody, it needs to be connected to the internet via a modem.
If Caz lived nearby, she might be able to view the webcam without it being connected to the net but beyond that the camera has to be connected to the internet somehow.

Aiden's haircut is a clippers job not scissors.
