Actually, everyone in Corrie considered to be to belong to the lower orders get derided. There's a definite hierarchy in Corrie and every character has a fixed place and function.

To be fair, with the amount of pain she'd be in, you probably wouldn't feel like trying to look nice. Especially with the prospect of the water making the pain worse, even if you do try to avoid the area. Plus, who would help her? On another note, I'm sick of the Barlows already. It's bad enough that we've had Tracy all year from the Carla nonsense and now we get her even more with the family members settling in.
