Going back to the amount of people they shoehorn into each house, often on the flimsiest of pretences, it was interesting that in the last episode, Tracey actually referred to their house as a "tiny little two up, two down!

I "think" it's Dev's, as a sort of "live in Nanny"?

Surely even Fiz is not that stupid not to question the expense Tyrone has gone to over Christmas and wouldn't go ahead planning a ridiculously expensive wedding on top of all that.

Does she not know how much money goes into the house and how much goes out?

And re Tracey; I agree. As if her dad would have thrown her out for sort of two timing Rob! And then let Rob stay while Tracey sleeps on the streets!
Yes. As if.

Corrie have conveniently forgotten what a two-timing scumbag Ken is. He had an affair with Martha who was educated, an actress and cooked homemade soup. When he was cheating with Martha, Ken looked down on Deirdre like she was something he'd trodden in.

Then, less than six months after Deirdre's death, he's took up with this Nessa creature who has the audacity to pull her face at everything Tracy says. Tracy is undoubtedly a cow but Ken Barlow has been a complete sh!t with other women where Tracy's mother and his wife are concerned.

Michelle's acting was outstanding tonight. Instead of just pretending to drink from a mug, today she got to stand in the back room shouting at Johnny with her eyes goggling out on stalks, scary

At the start of tonight's first episode, Liz and Amy were talking about how it was after Christmas, so assuming the episodes are not ahead of real time, how did Ken get his post delivered on a bank holiday?

Was it a bank holiday today?
Well not seeminly in CS. Post was being delivered and, ping pong or no ping pong, you wouldn't get me within an asses fart of a sweat shop on a bank holiday unless I was getting triple time or better!

Here we go, another "Carla moping about and being the victim" storyline

Tonight we had the same old same old which was:-
Carla running straight to Miss Hell to whinge and complain. The person she complains about turning up and Miss Hell ordering them to leave.

No doubt the next part in this exciting story is Carla knocking bad more red and moping about feeling sorry for herself. Johnny will be treated like enemy number 1 despite not being the only character to have an affair. The gobby bitches at Underworld will be making remarks and giving him the evil eye for upsetting "Mrs. Connor", forgetting of course he is their boss and it is his money put into the factory.

Tonight's episodes were truly terrible, but some SORs stood out for me -

Why was the factory open on a bank holiday? Why was the prison open for visiting on a bank holiday?

Are business contracts really decided by a ping pong tournament?

Who cleared up all the fake snow, Christmas trees and other tat from the street?

If Gary's around where did he spend Christmas Day as he wasn't with his family and he had no life outside the street?

The bank holiday was referenced in the factory, and Carla said it was Monday too.
Wouldn't you think one of the crew would notice and say something?

So Robert has been remaining at Ken's for the past 3 days, with Tracy staying at Beth's place. Did these two not cross paths in that time?

She didn't hurry off with Roy. She let go of Roy's arm and walked off by herself leaving Roy stood there next to Johnny shouting after her

I have to say although I agree with all of this if I'd been Ken I'm pretty sure I would have sailed away on Martha's barge with her.

I will always remember the scene where Martha gave Ken some home cooked soup,, I think it was Ham and Peas, maybe I'm wrong, but anyway Martha cooked a lovely looking home made version and then Ken went home and Deirdre had a tinned version which came out of the can in a large sludge like mess.

Yes, it was definitely leek and potato. I also remember Martha wooing Ken with scrambled eggs on granary toast. All this was depicted in sharp contrast to Deirdre's tinned soup and stuffed marrow repertoire.

Wasn't there smoked salmon as well with the scrambled eggs or am I mistaken?

Amy complaining about the bit inbetween Christmas and New year - because I'm sure she's hating her time off school.

Tracy and Beth haven't been shown in scenes together for months from what I can remember, such great friends they are. I think the last scenes they had together was the last time that she was kicked out of the house, I think after Deirdre's funeral when Ken caught her kissing Robert and she needed a place to stay back then.

Carla asking if Johnny is alright because he looks pale when his face looks completely red. For someone who complains about their alcoholic mother Carla sure loves pouring as much red wine down her throat as possible to be just like her although thankfully she didn't do too much of that tonight.

Gary looking intimidated by the tall guy from O'Driscoll, pretty sure height doesn't have any influence on someone's table tennis skills.

How did Tracy get into the kitchen? It looks like she entered through the fire escape but do those type of doors have a handle on the other side to allow entry?

Beth is kind enough to put her up in her and Kirk's house (or is it Chez's?). Anyway, Kirk and Craig live there but Tracey gets away with crushing their ball!

It was as if the jacket unzipping turned him into some sort of ping-pong Ninja!

Sudden new door alert! Leading to where?

Quite possibly. Everything about Martha's barge and lifestyle appealed to Ken; there was always delicious simple food available and Radio 4 playing on her Roberts Revival.
