Obviously not as money as male on female, but they do happen. You seem to be coming across as a man hater. I hope I am wrong. |

Angelina Joleh - I do love Audrehs accent! Quote:
Now Norris has had the hair combing/ stroking treatment prior to his non haircut

I am guessing the writer has never dialled 999 for an ambulance? You dont just ring up give an address and thats it. They order the ambuance then you have to answer a series of questions while the ambulance is on route
The ambulance must have been waiting on Rosamund street, it got there quicker than Gail did. |

If a man can be sexually assaulted by a woman he doesn't fancy there's something wrong with that man. A woman assaulting a man isn't possible unless he's excited at the prospect - it can't happen if he isn't. Some men have a power complex and just need a suitable aperture, active or passive, to exert that power. So I wouldn't mutilate a woman for something she can't do.
Anna dressed herself up to give her confidence for what she had to do to safe her partner and son. Obviously men and women will view this act differently. And I view it from the perspectve of someone who has dealt with a few cases of rape and sexual coercion. Both sexes and children can respond physically to the act of rape, because bodies just do sometimes. It does not mean they are in any way responsible. |

I am not a man hater. Quite the opposite. There are many men I admire and some I fancy, even at my advanced age.
As I have said I will do what is necessary to protect my partner and son. What I am against is men using sex for power, having dealt with cases of rape and coercion, and seen the effects they can have for years on the victim. Jamie was doing that as well with getting revenge on Steph by posting photos on the internet. Unfortunately we haven't left behind the attitude that women can be trollops if they sleep around, but men are heroes if they sleep with many women.

Just what I said. You don't just say, 'send an ambulance here, we'll let you discover who I am, who it's for and what their symptoms are when you arrive'.
The ambulance must have been waiting on Rosamund street, it got there quicker than Gail did. Also, and I may have heard incorrectly, but didn't Ken just say his friend was having an attack. I don't think he said heart attack - it could have been a panic attack! |

This isnt the case at all. You can find somebody physically attractive but it doesnt mean you want to have sex with them. Men have the right to say no just like women.
Both sexes and children can respond physically to the act of rape, because bodies just do sometimes. It does not mean they are in any way responsible. Anyway, we're never going to agree on the Phelan/Anna situation - some of us will continue to support Anna and regard Phelan as a blackmailer, swindler and bully. Others will; have the opposite view and consider Phelan a hero and that Anna got what was coming to her. Time to leave the subject and move on to what's currently happening. We'll see if Phelan is a changed person or if he continues to be evil. I'm of the opinion it will be the latter because he's already laying the groundwork to swindle either Kevin or Jason or both. Would Kevin be so naive to listen to what he's saying when he's only known him for a couple of days? |

going back to Ken and Nesta Vipers or whatever her name was, during their relationship I found it odd that she never introduced Ken to Alex, in fact Alex dissapeared for the whole story of Ken and Nesta, then returns when it's finished
also with Alex I think the writers are trying too hard to have Alex say inappropriate thing because he has a learning difficulty, having worked with adults with Downs and other disabilities like Autism, they can say inappropriate things sometimes but not all the time Quote:

And Mrs Thingy with the white hair, had her her fluffed and poked with a comb. Just what I said. Attempted rape of a man by a woman not possible?
Anyone remember Joyce McKinney in the 1970s? |

Anyone remember Joyce McKinney in the 1970s? She fled the country and received a sentence of one year in prison, and that was non payment of bail because she never came back. She was never extradited from America |

Ken wouldn't know that Jamie was responsible for the Bistro at that point, most people would think someone tried to steal the takings or something? They could have added her saying my heart or something

In the first Salon scene (the one before having Norris and Steph sat side by side having their hair poked), there were two extras in the seats. How close were those two seats to each other?! If the one on the right didn't want the left side of her hair done, and the one on the left didn't want the right side of hers done, then they'd be fine, but otherwise......

Would Ken have automatically known Gail's number to ring her?
And why was the salon door open? Surely if Audrey was in there on her own tidying up she'd have made sure the door was locked. If she'd somehow managed to stagger to the door when she had her attack she'd have collapsed at the door not gone back to sit on the couch! |

From the couple of cases I've been involved with where there was an attempted rape of a man by a woman, fear meant there was no "response", so it wasn't possible. What's your experience of .such cases? Being retired, I'm no longer involved.
![]() One of the hardest things for survivors to bear is feeling that they were partly to blame, either because they were groomed, coerced, or too young to give consent. Quote:

There are, rightly, strong feelings about the Anna/Phelan situation but why not, if you wish to continue the discussion, start a specific thread? Then, leave a link to it here and those of us to wish to do so can continue the discussion there.
I think it's drifting beyond the realms of SOR. |

I think the Anna /Phelan story was far fetched from start to finish, and she would have been far better having Gary face the consequences of his attack and going to the police, but didnt she get dressed up because they were supposed to having dinner as part of the transaction?
Why on earth doesn't she just tell Kevin? ![]() |

He used the salon phone didn't he? Gail's number may well have been on a preset button with her name against it, and he just happened to see it when he rang for the ambulance.
