Indeed, the operator stays on the phone until the paramedics arrive when it's a suspected heart attack, in case they have to talk you through how to do CPR. They also ask questions such as the age of the patient and what their symptoms are....

Also, and I may have heard incorrectly, but didn't Ken just say his friend was having an attack. I don't think he said heart attack - it could have been a panic attack!

From the couple of cases I've been involved with where there was an attempted rape of a man by a woman, fear meant there was no "response", so it wasn't possible. What's your experience of .such cases? Being retired, I'm no longer involved.

Anyway, we're never going to agree on the Phelan/Anna situation - some of us will continue to support Anna and regard Phelan as a blackmailer, swindler and bully. Others will; have the opposite view and consider Phelan a hero and that Anna got what was coming to her.

Time to leave the subject and move on to what's currently happening. We'll see if Phelan is a changed person or if he continues to be evil. I'm of the opinion it will be the latter because he's already laying the groundwork to swindle either Kevin or Jason or both. Would Kevin be so naive to listen to what he's saying when he's only known him for a couple of days?

Finding Audrey and phoning for the ambulance were very badly written. But even worse was when Audrey said she loved Ken the look of pleasure on his face was inappropriate.

She was teary, and clutching herself, she also knocked a lot of salon equipment over as she collapsed in pain

Yes she wasnt charged with rape, she was charged with kidnapping and assault
She fled the country and received a sentence of one year in prison,and that was non payment of bail because she never came back. She was never extradited from America

Ken wouldn't know that Jamie was responsible for the Bistro at that point, most people would think someone tried to steal the takings or something? They could have added her saying my heart or something

In the first Salon scene (the one before having Norris and Steph sat side by side having their hair poked), there were two extras in the seats. How close were those two seats to each other?! If the one on the right didn't want the left side of her hair done, and the one on the left didn't want the right side of hers done, then they'd be fine, but otherwise......

Would Ken have automatically known Gail's number to ring her?

And why was the salon door open? Surely if Audrey was in there on her own tidying up she'd have made sure the door was locked. If she'd somehow managed to stagger to the door when she had her attack she'd have collapsed at the door not gone back to sit on the couch!

I think the Anna /Phelan story was far fetched from start to finish, and she would have been far better having Gary face the consequences of his attack and going to the police, but didnt she get dressed up because they were supposed to having dinner as part of the transaction?
Why on earth doesn't she just tell Kevin?


If I stumbled across Audrey lying in pain with equipment all over the floor, knowing that a break in had happened over the road a week ago I would be inclined to think it had happened again. (or at least ask )

She seemed absolutely fine for someone who was supposedly dying. Perfectly calm and collected and lucid and no sign of breathing difficulties or dizziness.

And this is not just what happens in Corrie it also happens in other soaps someone phones an ambulance rings off and the ambulance just turns up.

Yes this is a common occurrence in all soaps everyone knows everyone else's phone number whether that is land-line or mobile it makes no difference they always know them.

There are, rightly, strong feelings about the Anna/Phelan situation but why not, if you wish to continue the discussion, start a specific thread? Then, leave a link to it here and those of us to wish to do so can continue the discussion there.

I think this is what some people see as ridiculous normally Anna is quite outspoken and wouldn't think twice about speaking her mind and telling someone where to get off, it's as if when Phelan is around or mentioned she has a complete change of character and becomes a complete nervous wreck that is what is SOR about it, because it's like a switch that can be turned on or of from one second to the next and that is either poor acting or poor script writing or both..

He used the salon phone didn't he? Gail's number may well have been on a preset button with her name against it, and he just happened to see it when he rang for the ambulance.

Yes I did notice that Ken actually used the landlines phone in the salon rather than the customary fishing out of a mobile that happens in soaps regardless of where they are or who it is, so indeed yes Gail's number may have been stored in the phones memory.

Wasn't it the shop phone so probably stored in the memory?
