Do any writers actually have any interaction with children and realise that if you have kids you cant randomly sod off on holiday with out either taking them with you and pissing off the school obsessed government and getting a fine, or somebody is looking after him.
Sophie is abroad with Rosie so she can't be minding him unless they forgot that
big time jump, one minute it's early morning then suddenly in the cafe it's 2:30pm.
was Simon seeing his g/f after school?”
I thought it was a bit strange Kevin would just up and leave his business and Anna to go and see his sister who he hasnt mentioned in years. I bet a lot of people didnt even know he had a sister
Debbie Webster, played by Sue Devaney, is the daughter of Bill Webster, and younger sister of Kevin Webster. She made her first on screen appearance on 11 June 1984.
After leaving school with no qualifications, Debbie works in Jim's Cafe. She dates biker Daz Isherwood much to her father's consternation. In January 1985, Debbie leaves Weatherfield and moves down to Southampton with Bill and his new wife, Elaine. Off screen, Debbie trained as a hairdresser.
In 2001, Kevin disappears in the run up to his then estranged wife Sally's wedding to Danny Hargreaves, and was discovered to have been staying with Debbie at her home in Southampton.
Debbie was mentioned again in December 2009 when Kevin and Bill discuss Sally, now married to Kevin again, suffering from breast cancer, the same disease that killed their mother Alison and how it affected them both as children.
The following year, after his daughter Sophie ran away from home with her lesbian lover Sian Powers, Kevin telephoned Debbie and asked her if Sophie had been in touch with her.
In September 2011, Debbie telephones her niece Rosie and informs her that she has bought a villa in Turkey and invites Kevin to visit her and bring his baby son Jack with him.
