[quote=ewoodie;84734023]Don't you start!

Those kids! They're so funny with all their little tricks and ruses. Mary makes their homework fun, gets them ready for bed and reads them bedtime stories. THAT is not natural at their age. They should be learning to be independent individuals at their aga and they should not be pandered to by one of the local nutjobs and their father who is no better.

What will happen with this latest scheme of theirs? Will Dev and Mary gang up together and it will be all Erica's fault? Why can't Dev send them off to live with one of his lovely comedy aunties or uncles in India?[/QUOTE
They're at the age now when they should be knocking over banks and jacking trucks filled with electronic gear to have it on the streets for the Christmas rush. It's the Mary Poppins influence that will doom them to a life of petty crime and keep them out of the big league. No ambition yet again from the street. If Ken hears about yet another two not furthering their education in stealing high end merchandise he'll have another stroke.

Yes I always used to think that too, then he changed the style a bit so that from the side the shape looked truly weird, then last night he was actually sporting what I would call 'a normal hairstyle'.

I was hoping Betthany was just going to take all the money. What could the twins do?

Was there just one episode on Monday? That is all that's on ITV player...

Yes only one episode on Mon because of the jungle

I thought the same. She has no loyalty to the twins and they are underage so why should she be obliged to give them 2/3 of the money. If Bethany did take all the cash and the twins complained they'll be dropping themselves in it

Surely Bethany could go into Manchester (yes there is another world outside Corrie!), and cash the winning ticket there, so Dev would not be suspicious.

There must be an accounting system of the number of lottery tickets being held and the number sold and he would realise there is a discrepancy, but would not know who by ... unless he has CCTV installed in his shop!

Why do soaps depict theft and lack of morals by youngsters as such a wheeze.

Bethany is old enough to know that what the little scamps ( bless 'em) were doing is stealing and wrong. Mind you, this is the girl who didn't hesitate to do some shoplifting when she first returned to Weatherfield, and her mother didn't seem too bothered about it at the time.

I think you can count on one hand the number of truly honest people on this street, most seem up for the occasional lie scam or deception

Why can't they all be perfect like us on this forum, it's not hard is it!

This flats scam ...

When buying a new build you might be required to place a reservation fee but, if we bear in mind the buyers are being promised the flats are nearing completion, the buyers would have to have had to seek out a mortgage.

The building society would then expect to make stage payments as the building progressed - and inspect progress before making such payments.

Also, if Phelan's dodgy mate had made off with the cash, what about the value of the land and property that they must have bought (what with?) to have somewhere to site the sales office - unless there's a convenient site which nobody has needed?

There is a special area of Manchester set aside for bogus companies, scams and the like that is completely free of any police presence.

It is run by 'Scams-r-Us' with a head office in Nigeria, next door to that bank that holds all those millions of dollars that only YOU can redeem!

Yards and buildings can be hired by the month. If you are interested, Phelan has the contact number (for a fee).

BIB - I think that is why Phelan romanced Eileen to start with - he wanted her to invest Jason's money in the scheme.

I realise that but Jason money and the mugs' reservation money has really stretched!

Ah, right.

Is this the same company who emailed me yesterday? I've given my bank details and I'm expecting my $1,000,000 for helping them release funds from a US bank account any day now.

The twins had a wad of tickets, surely if they had not paid for them the till would come up short. And the winning ticket would have to come up as being sold anyway.

Is that all? I, using the name Kenneth Albertus Barlow, usually ask for a "Money Laundry" certificate first. A fine collection of obvious fakes.

Try not to let it change your life style, when you receive the money I can recommend a couple of very safe investments, send me your Bank details and I will be more than happy to to set you up, sorry, I mean set it up for you.

Nothing would show up until Dev did a stocktake of the tickets against his till receipts.

No doubt he will be immensely proud of the actions of the brats if he found out what they had done. Obviously they are both destined for successful business careers.

I've won the lottery in several countries which is a giant SOR as I've never bought a ticket. Still waiting for the funds to be transferred into my account.

Bethany isn't even old enough to cash in a winning scratch card, is she? Don't you have to be 18 since it's gambling?
