Wouldn't take all that much to set up, a few grand to rent a portacabin, slip a few notes to the real owner of the building and land, and off you go. Bob's your uncle and Fanny's your aunt!

Don't know about the tiles, would take some shifting and you wouldn't get anything like the full value for them!
That seems perfectly plausible for the story. What is less so, is that none of the buyers, or Eileen had any inclination to see the progress of the build.

Don't forget that horses with blinkers only see what the rider wants it to see.

Kirk had a copy of Maria's Credit card statement, that showed a visit to an electronic store. Surely the coppers checked the security video in these shops and saw it was Caz not Maria...might save themselves a lot of time.

The video camera has not been invented in the alternate world of CS. This has got to be one of the worst CS stories ever. CS is actually worse under K.O.

That top notch solicitor that Aiden found for Maria - really???!!

Surely any solicitor worth his salt would laugh at the police and their so-called 'evidence' and instead of telling Maria 'I can't make any promises' would actually have her out of the slammer before you could say Jack Rabbit.

The whole story is absolutely farcical.

By the way, why was Faye grounded? I must have missed something.

Faye is grounded for stealing Phelan's phone when he put it down in the cafe

That's very Zen - I'll tuck it away for future use.

Its nothing to do with a solicitor if someone is charged. Its purely down to the CPS

It's incredible just how quickly Sally got that plot. How long is it since the last one where Roy met his love, the delectable Cathy?

Those of you who didn't guess Tim's plans for the pot should leave this thread immediately and go and hang their heads in deep, deep shame.
Exactly. Where I live there's a waiting list of a couple,of years although Sally did say she had,to pull a few strings.

Are they intent in making all of the characters dishonest? They're not setting a good example are they?

To get back to that story you posted, i f I were a lawyer in that area and had a client charged with being drunk and disorderly I would plead no memory of the alleged event. I would subpoena that cop to the stand and back up the claim that it's quite normal not to remember certain things. Do you think that would fly?
any such lawyer might get plenty of business in the forthcoming round of office Christmas parties. i wonder if the digital world has a new variation on the old sitting on the photocopier party game/

that i do not have the time or the patience to educate someone who already think - they know it all/ . google can be your friend - it would be my friend if you took the time to use it and learn and then stop bothering me on this rather basic matter of general knowledge.

What is the point of being a VIP, like Councillor Metcalfe, if you don't use the system to your advantage. Probably one of the few true to life s/ls in tonights episode.

That wedding business was so ridiculous, it should have been on The Empire as this year's pantomime!

The CPS decide whether to press charges, they do not convict and they do not make bail decisions.

It was crazy to think that Maria could just be let out though. The solicitor has to return to Court and the Court would decide whether charges could be dropped completely, or whether sufficient doubt had been cast to grant bail. It usually takes at least a few days for a solicitor to get a hearing set up in these circumstances. As she has already been remanded on the previous 'evidence', he can't go back til he has something new, and what they have so far (an alleged sighting of the 'victim' alive and well by Maria's biggest fan) probably isn't enough.

What is crazy in this storyline is that a murder charge has be lain so quickly without a body, that the evidence doesn't add up, and still the police have no interest in locating the 'victim'. We have heard nothing of their search for a body at all, and now they have no interest in checking CCTV on an alleged sighting.

Would Zidane's wedding really have been arranged so quickly? They only got engaged last week so surely it would have taken longer to arrange the wedding even without employing "wedding planner supreme" Michelle's services.

Also the female copper made me laugh when she said Aiden should be charged with interfering with a police investigation.

Aiden's not interfering, he's doing your job for you because you're so useless love.

Exactly. Like I said before, the blood could be Caz's blood, but she may have had a nosebleed, or cut herself badly. Just because they found blood it doesn't mean that she is dead, even if the blood was on Maria's scissors.
Anyway, I wish they'd get onto the good bit, where Eva finds out Aidan truly loves Maria and not her. Though, hang on, that won't even be that good... Eva cries, boo hoo, calls Aidan a few names and everyone moves on with their lives. Because Eva is not a central character, we aren't going to care that much.

You speak for yourself, Eva is the love of my life (well one of them), she is my Alpha & Omega, my world, my reason to exist!

And if you believe that load of cobblers, your as daft as me!

Best lines of last night from the female useless detective:

After Aiden said he'd seen Caz,

"Can you give us a detailed description of the person you saw?"
Aidan, "Looked like Caz, walked like Caz, was Caz."
"Facts please."
"Next time leave the investigating to us."

What investigation??

Exactly.

Is Aidan not allowed to report seeing Caz?
